  1. For 7,62x39 I'd run a Lee C312-155-2R cast from air cooled wheel weights. Air cooled will be more than hard enough to get you to 1500-1600 fps but still soft enough to mushroom. Penetration @ 100 and less will be excellent.
  2. Fingers crossed some good ole southern pride will produce a better product than a bunch of damn yanks. God knows Remington and Marlin both need some new life in their products as of late.
  3. Wife bought me one of those a couple years ago. It crapped out after an hour or so. :( Also,it isn't accuracy dependent. I could literally aim four inches off and still register a hit.
  4. So sorry for your loss Tanker. Good advice for those of you with families. If I die before my wife she'll get rid of my junk. If I die after her, well that's one good thing of not having kids or family.
  5. Naaaaaawwwww, that guy did Who's Line is it Anyway and Let's Make a Deal right?
  6. He's by far the best host of Family Fued I've ever seen.
  7. Aw shucks, I'm in. I never win squat, but who knows? First time for everything.
  8. .....and yes, that was an intentionally witty typo. Lol!
  9. Fiends like that is why we prepare so heavily for TSHTF. Lol!
  10. You may need a small base die or you may need to grind a small bi off the top of your shell holder to get the brass in the die a little further. A case gauge would be helpful.
  11. When you run outof room to put it and start making friends store some for you......then you're half way there.
  12. The 62g bullets you got from David could be steel core. If they are, they're gonna be longer than a standard lead core 62g bullet.
  13. I shoot lots and lots of 62g from my 9 twist bolt rifle. They are very accurate. Nice clean holes. I bought some 73g Amax from David a couple years ago. I'm still working through them. I can't see any signs they are unstable in my 9 twist. I can get ten rounds on a quarter size grip at a hundred. A 9 twist should shoot pretty much anything well.
  14. I can't help thinking how demoralizing it must be for any of the boys in her age/social group. "Oh, you got a BB gun for Christmas? How....nice." Fricken awesome brother. If I chose to have kids and had a girl, I like to think she'd be similar. Even if she gives it up and moves on one day this gives her a down to earth, dirty hands root system not easily shaken.
  15. My initial reaction is to fillet the f'ers with a dull knife but really, why? It doesn't bring the little girl back and there's more important things to be doing. Kill them quickly and move on. If one feels the need for vindictiveness, two birds with one stone then; shove their perfectly live ass in the crematory, flip the switch, wash, rinse, repeat as necessary.
  16. That's NOT an accident. That would be MY fault for NOT paying attention. It's a matter of personal responsibility. I take responsibility for my incompetence when I speed and get caught. I pay the ticket. Focus determines reality. Never once will I claim to be immune to or above it. Quite the contrary. One does not wake up one day and forget how to read speed limit signs. If that DOES happen to a person, its incumbent on them to stop driving and seek help. Same goes for drinking and driving or texting or any other activity that removes your attention from the road. This whole country is suffering from a severe case of "Desire to pass the buck". No one wants to admit and accept guilt for their own actions. I despise the word accident. Very VERY few cases can honestly be attributed to the word. A falling meteor maybe. Even the biggest percentage of weather related incidents are NOT accidents. It's no surprise if you live in Florida and your house gets blown away by a hurricane. I don't wanna be in the same room with a person stupid enough to claim ignorance of the potential for floods in New Orleans. I could go on for several pages.
  17. Want your money back?
  18. Four cans of Pringles?
  19. Where's the rest of the video? The part where he skins the coon and cooks him on that turkey fryer back there.
  20. Turn it into a blanket of ash and call it the nuetral zone.
  21.     TIme to build a wall on the Mason/Dixon line.   How many southern contractors would volunteer time and equipment for such a noble endeavor?  I H ave a bad back and bad knees and I would STILL be happy to go help lay block and string barb wire.
  22. Asian crappers have foot holds built in to support the weight.
  23. I was hacked by dracula in a haunted house. My wife was tickled to death by godzilla in a cabin by the lake.
  24. If the aluminum one lasted you 20 years you'll probably be long dead before you wear out the cast iron one. I've been using a Classic Cast from Lee for over ten years and its as tight as it was when I bought it. When I actually take the time to wipe it off, it looks like I just took it out the box. I have no doubts it I will last me the rest of my days.
  25. How do you 'accidentally' speed? If you're speeding and don't know it then your mind is not in the here and now where it belongs. In a word, negligence. There's a sure fire way to get out of every speeding ticket forever. Stop speeding. It's so simple a caveman can do it.
