The Cris Reeve is too big and the ADO really ain't a good every day carry. It does have the cool factor though. I was looking for a GOOD every day carry knife at my local shop when I happened upon the ADO. I tell ya, I'm looking hard at the Randall RAT-3 with non serrated D-2 blade. Much more utilitarian and suited to all day long carrying. I don't know squat about the Randall either but it looks very well made.

Local shop is a Microtech dealer. Nice knives. They have a trio of ADO fixed blades that look like a mini version of the old Cris Reeves once piece. VERY nice. Then I saw the sticker and developed a transient idiopathic arrhythmia! Yikes. I love this thing but are they really worth the money? It sure is sweet though. Sharp enough to cut adamantium! LOL.

I've had some come in the shop. I try to hold my tongue but when pushed far enough to respond, I just tell them come get some any time you're ready. I don't bother you and never have. You come bother me and see what you get for your efforts. The libertarian in me says "Go do what ever the hell you wanna do! Just leave me alone. Refuse to give me my space, we fight." I don't get much response from that, which is good. All I ever wanted from hippie filth is for them to sit back, relax and have a nice warm cup of shut the F up.

These are the guns we willing accept the practice of turning in for "guns for cash" programs. ...in fact, I used to work in a machine shop with a fella who turned a profit selling Lorcin and Jennings and RG handguns to buy back programs.

I ain't fightin' :poop: If there's ANY possible way to run, I'll be diggin' a trail as good as any coward on earth. :leaving: If I can't get away and there's a threat to me or my wife....that's why I carry. I leave the fisticuffs to the UFC guys I watch on TV. I've found that holding your tongue and looking with both eyes goes a LOOONNNGGG way in preventing the need to brawl.

I think you'll get much better results out of the mold with that meplat. Google the Lyman/Ideal 356402. It would be the 9mm equivalent of what you're making here. It just happens to be the boolit I run in my 9mm's now. It's a wicked looking thing and shoots very well. Sure you want the plain base? I'd be very interested to see if you get any skidding even with powder coating them after 1600-1800 FPS. I'll bet my hat these will shoot nice little clover leafs at 1500-1600 fps without powder coating them, provided you have a good fit. Looks great man. -
Was this an actual email issue or did you think you had sharted and was relieved it was a false alarm?? You KNOW after a certain age, you can never trust a fart.

Anybody know where I can get a purse and shoes to match?

YEP! Dennis did the transfer for the 308. I ordered it from Gunbroker. He ordered the shotgun, dunno where. I told him about the lowers after reading about them here and now he stocks them.

When they piss me off enough times....... A gun isn't some sacred thing, it's just a tool. When it refuses to function in a manner that satisfies me, I sell it, trade it or depending on the severity of the infraction, I whoop it against the Bradford pear tree in the side yard. Which ever brings me the most joy. In the end, that's all life is, the experiences. You can't take any of this crap with you. I ain't clingin' on to nothing that doesn't have some use to it. Even told my wife that :stir: Having a bunch of guns doesn't interest me anymore. I have a lot more respect for the man who has one rifle and learns to use it well than someone whose closet looks like the NRA museum. Great to be an American ain't it!?!? We still get that luxury; trying to do what makes us happy.

Cut a lot of members from the roster lately. Tired of chasing crap in circles. Cut most all of my bolt rifles. Bought this Weatherby Threat Response .308 Win with Kryptek's Typhon finish. I call it a Japerby because technically speaking it ain't a Weatherby. It's a Japanese made Howa 1500 with Weatherby's name on it. Topped it with Nikon glass and it's doing very well so far in load development. This rifle will most likely live out it's entire life and never see any of those flithy copper condoms some folks shove down the bore. First time out with it and did a ladder test trying IMR3031 and Lee's 312-155-2R cast from air cooled WW's. Sized .311 lubed with Ben's Red. I managed to get one 3/4 inch/5 shot group with a total average group of right at 1.25" @ 50 yards. Not spectacular but that's only half the first ladder test. I figure it'll take me most of the summer to find "The Load" Dumped every shotgun I own with the exception on the one I had as a kid. Bought a Weatherby Threat Response PA-08 with Kryptek's Typhon finish. 3" 12g chrome lined barrel. Just picked up a 1oz slug mold and Lee's 00 buckshot mold too. Not a real Weatherby either. It's one of the really well built Turkish shotguns being imported. I guess it's a Turkeby. I ran a box and a half of cheap crap through it. Well..It's a pump shotgun with an 18" cylinder bore. It works. Not much else to say  I'm hoping to work up a slug load that'll get me minute of deer lung accuracy at 50 yards. Shouldn't need pinpoint accuracy with a 437g slug cast from dead soft lead. Last but not least; Rock River Arms 1/9 twist upper, Daniel Defense rear sight, Tn Arms Company polymer lower and Magpul furniture set in ...YEP!, You guessed it! Kryptek's Typhon finish. Haven't run the AR yet. Just finished it up this last week. Lemme say, this lower is pretty darn nice ya'll! It's a plastic lower, but they had the good sense to put brass thread inserts in the stock and grip. The lower did need a SMALL bit of tinkering. The upper lower fit was tight! That's good though. The detent passageways had some small burrs I had to use a dentist pick to clear. BUT, my local gunshop has them in stock for $50+tax+$10. NOT too shabby. The triad is assembled. ....now to find me a Pelican or SKB type case that'll hold all three and make me some stencils to paint the case with. I'm thinking later of getting one of the custom coating companies out there to do a G19 as well.

It is a good friday ain't it. I haven't been around TGO much lately. I come back and damn if the air don't smell a little bit fresher. Somebody must hauled out the garbage while I was out.

Well, they for one don't play games with shipping. My FFL sent out of them like the day before yesterday. He received the order this morning. WOW. He wouldn't elaborate but he did mention they are dealer friendly. I'm guessing my dealer got a break for being an FFL and because he ordered several. That's good. I wanna see my new dealer prosper, that's for sure. Appearance at first glance seems to be great. I seen one or two little sharp edges. Not so much flashing just sharp edges. You'd have to be one seriously anal SOB to complain...although I probably will go over some of the edges during the fitting process. I didn't have time tonight but my upper seems to be half a hair too snug to this lower. IMHO, that's AWESOME. I'm more than happy to fit a tight fit than live with slop. Everything else at first glance seems great. I LOVE the fact it says made in TN. I'll get some build pics up....eventually. My dealer was obliged because he didn't know they existed, SO he did me a favor. I walked with the stripped lower for $60 OTD. How the hell can you beat that? kind makes me wish I had an ultra light barrel instead of this Hbar.
-
Well, we gonna see what these buggers are made of. I'm going to pick one up from FFL tonight.

How many primers and bullets do you stock?
Caster replied to jeff43's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I don't keep a lot of loose components on hand. I prefer to store mine in brass tubes. Keeps the tedious labor of assembly down. -
$30 is not that expensive for a magazine that works...every..dang...time. I don't mind paying it. They're twice the magazine some people make.

Rick has went full bore dumbass as of late. When is he not broken and bleeding?
-
My first thoughts!!!! What is she cooking??? hmmmmm, whats the title of that cookbook?
-
You know guys, it's for the best that the prison is no more. All Rick wanted to do is grow damn vegetables. AND EVERYBODY KNOWS DARYL HATES SALADS!!!!
-
Hope you feel better soon. ...when you get back all us retards will still be here arguing over the existence of black panthers.
-
As far as the scope goes, a Nikon P223 is gonna be hard to beat. If you don't like the large/long type scope, they make a short compact one too. Ain't looked at it yet, but I probably will soon.

Burris PEPR is one of the best bangs for your buck. You can get one with or without quick release toggles.

Recommend .22lr Scope for ~$200

It's damn difficult to best Nikon for the money. -
You can easily get overwhelmed with suggestions and you can't please everyone but........you should consider offering an alternative barrel option. Not everyone is convinced the 1/7 twist rate is all that great. A 1/9 option might be a good idea. I've never been happy with 1/7 myself.
