Anyone know where I could find 1-1/4" or 1-1/2" OD laminate round stock; about 6' long or so? About the best i can find is industrial broom handles and they're about one step above crap.

Will we ever see Beth alive again?

Ive been hearing about that one too. Never heard of it. Rhetorical question: Just how many nasty viruses ARE there that we've never really heard of? Scary times.
-
In it's current form, it doesn't scare me too bad. Viruses mutate, it's just in their nature. Going airborne or something else entirely scares the poop outta me. You can write everything I know about biology on a BB with a wide tip marker, but to think it couldn't happen is a fools game. I've told everyone around here, constant vigilance with regards to what you touch and come into contact with. It's all but impossible to become a shut in xenophobe but wash those hands fellas! Every vehicle, every child's school bag, every woman's purse, etc should have a bottle of hand sanitizer in it and it should be used often. I don't want my paranoid delusions to swan dive into the pool of tin foil hattery but this could easily get very very nasty. It might not be the zombie apocalypse of Glenn Mazzara or George Romero but it could very well be the zombie outbreak of the real world.

Made one out of 4140 seamless tubing and 1018 for the reducer union between body & barrel and the end cap was cold rolled as well. TIG welded together and used a coleman lantern lighter for ignition. I used many things for propellant including gasoline, ether and nitromethane. Nothing worked better than a cutting torch though. Turn the acetylene and oxygen valves about half open, hold the end cap up so there was very little gap, wait several seconds then screw the cap on quickly. It was quite powerful and would launch a tennis ball half way to Mars.

I thought so too till i got a well made polymer lower. (Made in TN no less!) if it's made right, I believe it's just as good.

Ohh no, not at all. I've seen bullets where the rifling engraved on one side is noticiably deeper than the opposite side. This means the bullet is eccentric in flight. Imbalance = pisspoor accuracy.
-
You should be neck sizing only for that ole BB rifle of yours. BB = backwards Browning.
-
Bite the bullet (pun intended) have someone like Accurate Molds cut you a properly sized mold, cough up the dough for an RCBS LAMII and be extremely happy. Once its paid for, it's paid for and you won't miss it. There's no real performance gains to be had from a jacketed bullet in a cartridge like the .32 Win Special. I would consider a 50% meplat a minimum and use 50/50 wheel weight/soft lead alloy. Possibly add 2% tin if you have trouble getting good fillout. Air cooled and allow a week to age. They will expand just fine and put a deer in his grave....err uhh, your freezer.
-
Inconsistencies in powder coat thickness and the textured surface finish of the powder coated bullet will account for a few thousandths of runout.

There's a 3 acre vacant lot across the street from me. I've been planning to do this myself just haven't had the time. There's about an acre of it fenced in, remnants of a horse pasture. My plan is to cut some extremely narrow entrances to the field so they can mosey in but when they get a crossbow bolt through the lungs, getting out could possibly be more difficult. Not that I'm fool enough to believe any fence ever made can keep a deer in, but the fence is surrounded on 3 sides with some very dense thickets that would make passage very difficult for a deer with a sucking chest wound. I've sown part of the field with red clover and sling a little corn around in the spring and summer. I need to get me a salt block buried in there too. It's more so "Times are Tuff" plan but I've seen some rather nice deer right here in town. Sticking a broadhead into one of them is very tempting.

Well, due to a really :poop: :poop: :poop: economy and lack of support from the local crowd, Dennis is closing his doors. Didn't even make it a year. He is a very nice guy but I guess people don't care about the person they buy from or the service they get if they can get it cheaper at the big box stores. It's the amerikan way I suppose. Thought ya'll should know. :sadwave:

Been busier than a cat coverin' up poop. I dunno where the time goes, half the time I don't know whether to scratch my watch or wind my butt.

Good thing she doesn't attend public school. She'd been arrested and kicked outta school. That's very nice work. Tell her all she needs is an 'I love Daryl Dixon" sticker and she's ready rock.

I hate a damn thief!!! Out in the middle of Center Hill is exactly where the thieves need to be. It's what, 200-250ft deep? I have a few 12" concrete blocks if anyone needs one.

OOOOOOOOOooooooooo!!!!!!!!!! That's nice. ...and she don't like them nasty copper condoms either. Gal after my own heart. You need a truck load of soft lead and Swiss BP. You HAVE TO post some range pics when you get time. -
Don't throw your barrel away. From the looks of it, there's enough to set everything back and make an AK pistol there. It'd require chopping down the whole gas system but it would be a worthy project. The AK files has several to look at. Good luck with the build.

I'm betting it's NOT a very moving story.

Ohh, it's been talked to death. Bill Goodmans gun and knife show sucks donkey.

I have found a long string of properly used descriptives can be twice as insulting as the good ole F YOU. Especially if the person doesn't know the words you're using. It makes them feel stupid. I had a teacher that gave wrote offs like that. I can't remember exactly but his favorites always started out something like "It is with great misgivings that I now realize what shame my pseudo ape-like behavior has brought upon the collective of this educational facility......" They usually ran a solid six or eight line paragraph. He was master of the run on sentence. Lol!!

It takes a special kinda man to shoot these things well. Click, spark, flash, BANG. I respect and appreciate it but could never do it. Best of luck.

It's a privilege to me to tell all those people they can kiss my ass.

Heck yeah! If I had an epitaph choice of prostate cancer (which is pretty much a certainty) or death by flying dune buggy.......the choice is clear as vodka!
