    .41 AE

You could sell that to someone already invested in the cartridge for enough to buy a play-pretty of more humble origins [9x19, .40, .45] and be ten miles ahead.
  2. Am I the ONLY one who is both shocked and appalled by Maggie's behavior?   She's bound for DC with people (other than Glenn) she barely knows and didn't give a ratz azz about a month ago.  She has no clue where her sister is!!!     My sister may be getting gang raped and eaten......Mehh, screw her.  Let's go north.  I'll be the first to admit, people are fools to put value on blood kin, but she actually LOVES her sister...or claimed to. If I had a person I cared about, lost, I be damned if I leave her behind.     10 point penalty for Maggie for disloyalty and poor decision making.
  3. Is there a different set of hoops one needs to jump through to build an integrally suppressed rifle? I have an idea, but the barrel and suppressor would be one unit, capable of disassembly for cleaning, but all one unit. It may or may not be capable but, I have been playing with barrel stubbing H&R Handi rifles and shotguns. Shotgun receivers are limited to low pressure rounds, but I think a little planning could get you a .38 special integrally suppressed rifle built on a 10g shotgun. Thoughts?
  4. Add a red dot and you got a 1000 yard hand gun. Hey, Jerry Miculek can do it!!!
  5. Well, for $24 at my local outfitter (right here in my home town) I had to try it, so I bought one this afternoon. I believe it'll take a bit of tinkering to make it "MINE" but it fits like a glove. Very snug but pulling it out is a breeze.
  6. Small electric oil heater. Just the right height for me to straddle while standing. Toasty junk!
  7. Molle type shotgun scabbards. Cool gear or mall ninja queer? I have tried half a dozen different slings on my Weatherby PA-08 Threat Response 12g pump. They all get in the way. No guessing to it, I'm assbackward and clumsy. I was looking at these shotgun scabbards as an alternative to running a sling. Honest opinions? ......humph, like I have to actually ASK for TGO'ers to give an uncensored opinion on anything!
  8. AR buttstocks on ANYTHING but an AR. Every 1911 I've ever seen.
  9. ....now, if he'd had several pcs of fried Bob in a white bucket with a biscuit and a 40 oz............
  10. Anyone have a GOOD deer meatloaf recipe? The wife made one last year and it was incredibly good but was very loose. Needed another ingredient as a binder. Please share. I have a small bit of last years meat that needs to go.......fresh meat coming soon.
  11. Knowing Franklin Gouge Shop, yes, there will be a cover charge. Autographs will be free but photos will cost you and there will be an administrative ink fee for the sharpies.
  12. Bob'B'Que Shish kaBob Bobby back ribs Ahh, the bad puns never end.
  13. Energy transfer, hydrostatic shock & and all the other misnomers are hokum and myth. People and animals die from either blood loss or severing the nervous system. Over penetration is a VERY valid concern though.
  14. What's the last thing a Tickle Me Elmo doll gets on the assembly line?   Two test tickles.
  15. What does minimum penetration get you? Other than a failure to stop a threat that is?
  16. Not impressed. It's another case of "Solutions to nonexistent problems" Why these ammo companies constantly try to ice skate up hill is beyond me. High velocity low mass is garbage for close range self defense. Plain and simple truth, Holes kill stuff. Slow and heavy penetrate. It is beyond contestation that a heavy slow bullet will penetrate and penetrate well. 165g @ 1100+ fps will never penetrate like the traditional 230g bullet @ subsonic speeds. I don't even like the .45 acp cartridge but it is undeniable that it supremely proficient at putting holes in scumbags. Large holes bleed. Blood loss causes death. Increase the size and number of the holes; expedite the process.
  17. You know why there's only 2 pallbearers at a muslims funeral? Well, they ain't but 2 handles on a trash can.
  18. Sounds pretty cool. Not really interested in .308 but building a .358 Win AR has been on my to do list for several years.
  19. Big box stores suck donkey. It's worth the extra few bucks to trade at a smaller privately owned shop that know my name.
  20. That broad would be walking home.
  21. Thank you Leroy! That's exactly what I was thinking. Whiskey, I remember those too but ain't seen them in a while.
  22. Not bad....not bad at all.
  23. Hmmm, i did that once for a homemade bow. The draw weight was actually TOO MUCH to shoot comfortably. I'll have to ponder that one.
  24. Maybe....wonder if they're solid or hollow. Much prefer solid.
  25. Nah, those things are fragile as glass when you get down to it.
