  1. Does anyone have a chamber reamer and headspace gauges for .358 Winchester they'd be willing to loan, rent or ???? I hate to buy it all for only one chamber. Elk Ridge has the reamer for rent but no head space gauges. Grrrr! I know it's a long shot but thought I'd ask.
  2. This is one guy who should NEVER have to buy his own beer.
  3. Mobile 1 Synthetic 5W-20 works and works well.  Cheap too.  If it'll hold my Toyota together it'll work for my guns.
  4. I will refrain and take it easy on the guy because he DID take it like a man, but.......If you cannot tell the difference between Varget and Titegroup.......ohh wait, I said I'd take it easy on the guy.  LOL   Varget is a really healthy extruded powder.  Titegroup is really fine.  Kinda like a dark colored Bullseye.     I could see a mistake such as confusing H110 and Titegroup.  They look similar.  Varget?  Varget doesn't look like ANY fine pistol powder.
  5. It's high school level economics.  Very basic.     A market that spikes quickly, falls quickly.   To maintain high sales for a given market, everything must rise slowly.   Recent gun sales rose like a tsunami.  It's no surprise the bottom fell out just as quickly.
  6. ABSOLUTELY eat what you store.  ROTATE! ROTATE! ROTATE!   The local Food Lion went out of business recently.  50% or more off everything.  Filled a buggy with canned stuffs.  Local Fred's ran Chef Boyardee Ravioli for 40¢ a can too.  Keep several flats of everything.     Use a sharpie to put the purchase date on the top of the can as well as the expiration date.  The dang expiration date can be a pain to read on some brands.  Take the time to clearly mark it and it'll motivate you to keep everything rotated.
  7. IF the losers at the hospital wanna live much longer, they better watch their latest acquisition.  Carol will kill them all if she has to.
  8. This episode blows and should have never happened.
  9. I have a Davis Industries derringer.  It's a sad little fellar....might make a great "Last act of defiance."

  11. Just ordered a black Otis kit for shotguns and I am going to make a flashlight holster to go on the shoulder strap and I'm calling it finished.
  12. "I" wasn't criticizing you. I respect your opinion and your right to have it. I think, I could be wrong....but I think you may be confusing personal choice with euthanasia. The line must be CLEARLY drawn at 'personal choice' and anything more is beyond contestation. Sans a living will or power of attorney, NO ONE should EVER have the authority to make the decision for you. Not EVER. It's why I am a firm beleiver in having a last will and testament and where applicable, living wills and DNR's.
  13.     Needle, thread, knife and a give 'em hell attitude........any thing is possible!
  14.     Even when the quality of life is so poor that the life being protected is begging for the end?  I've seen the pain cancer causes and before I suffer that fate, I will greet death like an old friend.
  15. I have no issue with it at all. Her life, her choice. The church perpetuates this anti-suicide rhetoric to the point of stupidity. They cannot substantiate it with anything other than thou shalt not kill. Bah! The Hebrew bible reads more along the lines of "shall not commit murder" . Big difference in ending life and murder. Personally I think the church was always so solid on the matter as a means of control, and the fact that dead people don't fill offering plates. I have nothing but respect with a person who chooses NOT to be a burden on their family or society. The decision should NEVER be taken lightly though. Its pretty morbid to force a person to live when the future only holds pain and torment.
  16. My wife got a butchers block full of Henkels knoves from a yard sale in an uppity neighborhood for $25. They are incredibly good knives.

    M1 Carbine

Even some of the once fired brass I've loaded has needed trimming. I trim EVERYTHING.

    M1 Carbine

It is easy to reload for.  I cast and reload .30 Carbine brass I find at the range.       Funny....I have never owned a .30 Carbine.  Not sure why I load it.  I have some loaded right now with a Lyman 311359 but no longer have the mold.  I use a Lee 309-113 flat point gas check.  I got a couple hundred of these little boogers in a can somewhere.  I really have been meaning to buy me a Blackhawk in .30 Carbine some day.
  19. I still need to add one small pouch next to my knife. The main pouch houses two (10 rnd) boxes of Hornady Heavy Magnum Coyote 3" 00 buckshot, two (5 rnd) boxes of Remington Slugger & (10) rounds of Remington Express #6 shot. The small pouch will have water/wind proof matches in a plastic tube and a few other tiny accoutrements. If there's room, I would like to add a small Otis kit (btw, if one of you guys have an empty BLACK Otis pouch, pm me!). Maybe not if it's clumsy and gaudy looking. I don't wanna monkey it up with too much crap. I removed the lousy 1 inch wide strap and replaced it with a spare strap from a backpack. Notice the curve of the strap? The back back straps were curved and the one swept in the proper direction is VERY comfortable. There's also room for a multi tool on the shoulder strap. Coming soon  Need a bandolier of 25 shells draped next to it too. It should make for a great "grab and get diggin'" set up with my Weatherby tucked in.
  20. Yeah Prag that's it.  Mine came from a local dealer who carries Condor.  Very nice stuff for the money.  Maybe not the best but it's well stitched and solid....and cheap!
  21. This isn't tragic or even news worthy, just what a dumbass gets for being a dumbass.
  22. Therein lies the problem then. I don't believe the 10g barrels fit rifle receivers.
  23. No pictures until I'm done. The paltry excuse for a shoulder strap was pathetic. Need to add a pouch and maybe a thing or two. Pics tomorrow maybe.
  24. Yeah, upon reflection, using the shotgun barrel for a donor tube might be kinda sketchy.
  25. Dawn I use dawn for the dog. It'll kill the heck outta fleas. Apparently the oil in it coats them and essentially suffocates them. Easy to clean up after too! Lol!
