What movie would you like to see made and Made well?
Caster replied to vontar's topic in General Chat
Some kind of wizard/warrior movie done without the corny bs they're so often of occompanied by. AND A REAL PLOT for once. The Elf Queen of Shannara would be great. I'd also like a Hancock sequel. Forcibly inserting one jerk's head up another's rectum never gets old. -

How about a train ride? My wife took her mother on a ride and had a VERY good time. Not loud, comfortable, nice scenery. Try Tennessee Central Railway Museum. -
I will officially call BS. That's just something a person with a hero's soul is prone to saying. Marcus Lutrell called himself a coward in an interview. We all know that's absolute bull crap as well. The man had skill and talent, luck had little if anything to do with it.

Metro Nashville Public Schools is eliminating Algebra and Geometry.
Caster replied to JohnC's topic in General Chat
I don't know what they expect them to do, but I know what WILL happen. Americas children are fast becoming the laughing stock of the earth. Meanwhile, some 12 year old Chinese girl is solving some string theory equation before her violin lessons. -

Why waste time educating kids at all? Why not just tell the truth, they want a daycare for propaganda programming. Stupid and severely dependent never fathom revolt against the system. -
I will never understand the dynamic of Facebook and places like it especially as it relates to young people. I spent the bulk of my youth trying to PREVENT anyone from knowing what I was up to. Now they're telling every move they make and wonder why they stay in trouble all the time.

I think you'll find TGO home to more bacon operators than ham operators.

Make every effort to NOT BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE. Not always practical but certainly a worthy endeavor.

Ahhh, the cleansing power of fire. *chuckle chuckle*

....there's also rumor of an unnamed Special Forces making a 3000 yard shot just a couple years ago but I can't find anything solid to substantiate it.

I'm not saying Kyle didn't use that trick but setting cartridges in the sun is not a trick he invented. I've read (on the internet so you know it's true!) Rob Furlong (Canadian) and Craig Harrison (British)doing the same. Corporal Furlong was the first to break The White Feather's record of 2500 yards which held the record since Vietnam. Furlongs shot was something like 2,650 yards. Then Harrison broke that record with a 2,700 yard shot. I think the current US record is held by Sgt. Bryan Kremer at 2,500 yard. I could be wrong. Spin drift, coriolis effect, multiple cross winds, barometric pressure, temperature causing up/down force and trigonometry.....hot damn my head hurts.

Extra long magnums are compensation for super short minimums elsewhere in the hunters list of tools.

I like this line of thinking. Aside from being armed with a handgun, a bit of Brazilian Jujitsu would have been sweet. Maybe a broken nose and lacerations to the forehead due to elbow strikes followed by a rear naked choke that puts the dipsht to sleep. Wonder how the media would spin a guy getting attacked and defending himself but never upholstering his weapon? -
I guess people want what they want but I don't see the need for the rabid craving going around for a low capacity Glock. I carry a 19 everyday, it's comfortable and few if any ever know.

9mm is cheaper to load than .22 is to buy most of the time. A .22 G19 would be a step backwards in my book.

I got 9 years out of the first red top optima battery I bought. I have a yellow top in my FJ.....my FJ is yellow, I had to get the yellow one! I have a blue top in my wife's Camry. It was on sale. Everyone has different experiences and circumstances. I have found Optima to be everything they claim and more. You really need the whole system looked over closely. 2 years? A cheap ass rebuild from Hester should get you better than 2 years. Something is wrong.

HS Girls' Basketball Coach Suspended After 161-2 Victory
Caster replied to gun sane's topic in General Chat
That's right. Pat the little pansies on the head and tell them all about fair play and good sportsmanship. That way when they get out in the real working world they will be fully prepared for a world full of people who practice those values daily. God knows the corporate world never uses the full weight of their might against a potential adversary. Yeah, no way we should allow a coach to let his player play to their maximum capability. This world is just too fair to teach lessons like that. Just think how these girls might act as adults if they learn that using their full potential and talent could net them overwhelming success. WTF ever. This should be a wake up call to the other team. Train harder, work harder or consider joining the debate team. -
Looks awesome. ...but that's about it. For that kind of money I could buy a dependable car that'll be running when that thing is on its second or third engine. Then take the remainder and buy a metric crap ton of guns, ammo & beer and even something nice for the old lady. It is a bad ass looking thing though.

You might also consider buying a taper crimp die. For bullets without a cannelure. Works for me.

The ONLY gun that's acceptable to carry is the one can handle safely and ACCURATELY place shot after shot. I have a couple of revolvers. They're toys. Nothing more. I have as good a chance at hitting something if I just throw the things. I can't hit squat with a wheel gun. You? Well, you might be right the opposite.

Probably way over crimped. Very little crimp is actually needed unless it's a stout recoiling gun. Unless of course you're running some really slow powder and then it can aid ignition but most 38/357 run fine on Bullseye or something about as fast and do not need a super strong crimp. As with any reloading YMMV
