  1. Thanks Pops!!!!!!
  2. One thing they will NEVER understand is, "It ain't the rifle!" Which do you fear more? Some ghetto trash with no education, training or skill wielding one of these? OR....someone like Chris Kyle [God rest your soul!!!] with one of these? One is a sophisticated piece of weaponry. The other was invented before anyone currently under the age of 117 was even born. The first option offers you a reasonable chance of survival. The second option offers you the quickest route to hanging out with St. Peter.
  3. I'd rather slam my penis in the door of '76 Monte Carlo than listen to that woman sing. The way she breaks her voice makes me want to get violent.   If I die and go to hell, it'll be on the juke box along with Alanis Morrisette.
  4. If you're shooting at normal ranges under 300-400 yards, velocity is of little concern with a cartridge like the .223. Starting charges carry more than enough velocity to do what it's designed to do and do it well. If you've found accuracy, there's no reason to waste powder and add wear to your gun for a few fps. It's nonsensical, the reasoning people put behind blistering velocity.
  5. That's due mostly to dumbasses who can't keep the stupid finger off the trigger and that can happen with ANYTHING no matter what the design.
  6. I had a series 80 stainless Colt that would reliably drop the hammer when inserting a magazine. My one and only negligent discharge was with that thing. I shotmthrough two walls of my house. Thank god I had no neighbors where I lived at the time.
  7. Manual safeties are just another obstacle in between me and my life.  No thank you.   It's one of the many reasons I can't stand 1911's.  Sear engagement CAN BE LOST under impact when the ONLY thing holding the gun from firing is said sear engagement.  Glocks and similar guns don't suffer from this.  Internal design makes it all but impossible.     A good, high quality, well constructed holster is the best safety there is for those who have good muzzle and trigger discipline.     Anything that moves can fail.  How wonderful it'd be to have a safety malfunction while trying to move it!!!  No thank you.
  8. No, I wouldn't pay it but that doesn't make them criminals. It's a free market capitolist society we have here. The market dictates inventory prices. When people deviate from that and try to sell too high, they don't move product. If they're happy with slow sales for high margins, that's their business. They're certainly free to do so. Same goes for all the "gougers" in the second hand rim fire market. Everyone keeps attacking them but they're doing nothing wrong. If you don't like it, don't buy it. That's pretty simple. When we start telling people what they can and cannot sell their wares for, we may as well paint our red white and blue to red and call each other comrade. That's pure communism. Smart? No. Wrong? No.
  9.   HA! Me and the wife did the same thing.  Only, we did it right before the last three of four episodes.  It was awesome getting to take it all in like that.       We have the boxed set now....errr uhh, the drummed set???  THe boxed set came in a miniature black plastic barrel.  LOL!
  10. I don't see why not? They may very well be in the death throes of their business. May as well go down swing for the fence. Who knows?? Can you imagine if they land a haymaker? I'd be pretty tickled to see nbc have to shell out money.
  11. I still love beer and beef.
  12. There's a good joke in here somewhere for a Pontiac but I better not........
  13. Holy forking spoon!    The wife wants one now that we are starting a trust.  She wants to suppress her Glock 19. I will order her a Lone Wolf threaded barrel.  What should she get??  I have a metric crap ton of loaded ammo, 147g JHP that I have chrono'd @ 925 fps.  That should be VERY good.
  14. No, I despise pork in all shapes forms and fashions.
  15. I may just vomit.
  16. WTF??!??!??!!!!!!   Somebody screwed up royally and needs an R. Lee Ermey grade butt chewing.
  17.     Me either...but, then again.....Glenn is Korean ninja.
  18. Hard to say emphatically what any of us would do in any given situation but these sort of things are why I am not a "Public" person in the sense of getting out and doing things.  VERY few things are worth me going out for anymore.  With only a couple of exceptions, everywhere I go is very to the point and usually done with haste.  Honestly, I'd just rather be on my own turf.  This lessens the chance of me being in a situation of any kind.   I put my pistol on in the morning with the mindset of, "Me and my Wife".  No one else.  Not to say I wouldn't help, but I'm not the kind of guy to stand around long enough to choose a side.   If I see a guy on the ground with another man pointing a gun at him..... I'm headed the opposite direction as fast as my fat azz will move.
  19. With a factory crimp die, unless you get all ham fisted and torque things really stupid tight, you not really gonna over crimp.  They come with VERY simple instructions.   I would lay out exactly how I do it but I go by feel and double check dimensions with a micrometer where needed.  You load several and you'll understand.
  20.     She won't be too upset.  IF at all.     Remember, he asked her if she wanted him to "get involved" so to speak.  She said YES.  She may be dumb for staying with an abusive man but she ain't stupid....she knows what Rick intended to do.  I figure by mid season Carl will be greeting his new step mom and step brother.     If the ole' gal is smart, she'll take good care of Rick because that woman has GOT TO KNOW, she has a sissy mary pansy for a son.  Rick and Carl can take care of that.  Carl would be an AWESOME big brother and teach that boy.  Rick can see to it that little lad's nuts finally descend and his spine straightens up.
  21. ALSO! Be absolutely certain your die isn't making a roll crimp. Many 45 acp dies are made to also handle 45 auto rim for revolvers. They would use a roll crimp but an automatic would absolutely NOT use a roll crimp. The case head spaces off the mouth. Roll crimping throws your headspace out into wild blue yonder. A very bad thing. Lee assumes most not only know this but also use their factory crimp die with automatics as MOST Lee die sets come with the factory crimp die.
  22. Yes BUT you should not be seating and crimping in the same operation. YES, the die will do it but that doesn't make it a good idea. With the .45 acp and NONcast loads, you'd be doing yourself a big favor to get a Lee factory crimp die. You run into problems potentially using a factory crimp die with cast but with plated or jacketed, it's the cats meow. Even if you don't get a FCD, set the die to seat but not crimp, seat them all, then back off the seating stem to where it doesn't touch and crimp. You will find you get a much more uniform crimp and your overall length will be more consistent.
