What sucks for me is the books of the expanded universe. I've read a little over 200 of the paper back novels and it does as any other book will do.....ruin movies. It's not so much the actual movie that's ruined. It's the ability of the characters. Even Yoda is a bit of a candy ass by comparison to force users in the expanded universe. If you think Yoda had a hard time fighting Darth Sidious, try reading about Bane. Bane could have killed both of them. Other Sith Lords such as Darth Caedus makes Anakin look like an alter boy. Darth Caedus by the way was first known as Jacen Solo. Eldest son of Han and Leia. There was a Jedi (can't recall his name right now) who pulled a starship out of a star using nothing but the force. Hmph, and poor little Luke struggled with his fighter stuck in the mud. I hope, I hope, I hope!!!! They take the expanded universe into account with the new movie. After Luke reaches the age of about 50 he is a BAD SUMM BEECH! He completely redesigns the Jedi Order and does away with all the silly BS of the old order. He can actually use the Dark Side without succumbing to it. It was a long struggle though. My biggest fear of the new movies is that they will botch the Mandalorians completely. Boba brings them back to the forefront and they are feared by the whole of the Galaxy once more. Mandalore is a thriving planet again and Mandalmotors builds the finest fighters and weaponry money can buy. Ohh damn, someone hand me a mop, my nerd spilled out everywhere.

It depends on your point of view and your ability to source things. One should never count the cost of non -perishable tooling. A good mold will last many lifetimes with proper care. Lead seems to be the inhibiting factor for many. Being a blessed soul myself, I don't have to pay for it. Brass can be had for free pretty easy as MOST people don't reload it. That leaves the cost of a loaded round of 9mm to just the powder and primer. Depending on which lube I use, the cost for me can be around .05-.07¢ each. Getting a cast load that will perform as well as a jacketed load is certainly doable, but it's not a slap it together process for the 9mm unlike easier to load for cartridges like .38spl or .45 acp. Currently my best load uses FC cases, CCI primers, a Lyman 356402 cast from air cooled wheel weights, sized to .357 with LBT Blue Soft lube over 6.2g of HS-5 and chrono's 1110 fps very consistent from a Glock 19 with a Lone Wolf barrel. I don't know what I will do when my supply of HS-5 runs out. That powder is no longer made and I will have to start over with another powder. Luckily I still have north of 7lbs of it and I keep it strictly for this load only. This load feed 100% shoots nice clusters about 1" low and 1" left of point of aim at 15 yards. I've shot hundreds without cleaning. Never seen lead in the barrel. I've really got to work on my grip to solve the grouping error. I can rest the pistol and get right on target so it's undoubtedly my pisspoor skills to blame for the low/left grouping.

Hmm, wonder if the rest of the animals will flee when you put three or four in a row down or will they go full rabid rage and try to rush a would be defender? Inquiring minds would like to know. Seriously though, I hate to rip off Lucas but it's so very true; Don't center on anxieties, keep your mind on the here and now, where it belongs. Your focus determines your reality. Keep your eyes open out there boys. Bumpers are cheap. We might even take up a collection to buy ya a new one. Things start looking grim, get in, sit down, shut up and hold on! -
This happens all the time on my iPad. I can set it right by "changing theme' then changing it back. It's only good for one visit though. My iMac never does it. I've learned to ignore it most of the time. Last night I had TGODavid's avatar and everyone else had mine. It was weird. The ghost in the machine likes his play time.

I just started watching this on Demand. Me and the old lady kinda like being late to the party and playing catch up. As of last night we are 5 episodes in. Gonna be bing watching all week.

One box missing, so somebody took the bait. If I could buy something for 'X' amount of dollars and then triple my money, I would. That's a good return. For anyone who hates these kind of people...you do get one consolation prize. That fella has to pay taxes on inventory he doesn't move. It's obvious he's okay with that because he clearly ain't moving it. BUT, he don't owe me anything so go for it.

Ole' Ben Kenobi would have said such a blaster was "So uncivilized"

I got a metric crap ton of plated 147g hollow points from David a while back. I have driven them up to listed max for jacketed with zero issues. Even chronographed them and they are about 975-1000 fps with AA#5. ...but for the record, I don't buy the lie of "cast lead must run slow and low pressure". I routinely use jacketed data for properly prepared cast loads. The key words here...properly prepared.
-
Use the same data as a 125g jacketed bullet. Might not wanna push too hard. There are a lot of people who believe a plated bullet will fail at jacketed pressures and should be treated more like a cast bullet. You're certainly safer using that mentality but it hasn't been so in my experience.

Can you get a bait casting reel on there too? Beats bow fishing anyday!

I sold mine. Kinda wished I hadn't. I REALLY wanted to get the package Bowen offers for it. They are awesome little pistols.

Yeah but at least that serves a worthy purpose. These guys not so much. I think R. Lee Ermey might say, the best part these fellas ran down ............ and ended up as a brown stain on a mattress.

So many comments on this one. .....none of which are acceptable to the terms and conditions of being a member here on TGO.

I've put a .060 over 350 on a 4 cylinder S-15 rear end. Traction was.....poor so longevity was not an issue. Far as I know, it's still going. It'd only be a problem for you if your car hooks up really good. If you're on a normal street tire, I wouldn't worry about it.

WTF did I just read??? :stunned: :squint:

What are you rally wanting to do here? Cruise around for burgers and chicks? Maybe leave a patch of rubber on the ground leaving the Dairy Queen? The six will do it and do it well if you build it right. If you're wanting to run bumper to bumper with some of the other boys out there, your probably gonna want to drop the dime for a v8 swap.

This: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ofy-5416/overview/ Plus this little 390cfm four barrel would make a SWEET street runner and if you keep your foot out of it, it'll probably get decent mileage too!. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-8007 Here's a set of headers too, http://www.summitracing.com/parts/big-11510flt/overview/make/chevrolet Found all this in less than 5 minutes.

I'm sorry guys but for a street driver, this is ten times cooler than your vanilla small block. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1p3-cAJrLCw

Don't know your budget but the little 6 banger can be made into a firebreather with the right setup. Parts are available online, They take a bit of leg work tracking them down but they're there. Stacy David made a badass six cylinder on Gears [tv show]. Headers, aluminum intake and a top notch head job are top of the list. Ported to match, stiffer springs and a valve job by someone WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. Nowadays, you can order pistons to suit, not to a specific engine. All you need is bore size and pin location and Wiseco will make whatever you want. You could throw a smal plate fogger for some giggle gas and get well over 300 horse out of the 250. Of course, for the same money you could get a 350 that would stomp the 6 cylinder into the ground....but come on...Small block chevy are like they're cheap and easy and there's one on every street corner. Ain't you sick of seeing them in EVERYTHING? I am. BORING!!!!

They can charge him with murder one and give him the death penalty and the ghetto trash will still likely riot.
