  1.     Ohh yeah, let the Freedom Dbags have at 'em.  No one knows how to F up a gun company like them remington boys.  I'm sure they'll be turning out Taurus quality turds with Python stamped on them lickety split.     Honestly, is the name so valuable we would do to them what they did to Marlin?  pppfffftt.
  2. Meh, the old grey mare, she ain't what she used to be. Worn out tooling used by lazy worthless people who don't care about what they make. Screw 'em. Samuel Colt would vomit at the sight of what they've done to his name. I will say the same thing I said about GM. Let them die. I can GAURANTEE you someone will be happy to fill the void. What do you bet, Fabrique Nationale would be happy to fill those government contracts??? Our troops already use a lot of FN stuff.
  3. I'm hoping Cersei is choking on her own blood tonight. I hate that woman and will smile when she dies.
  4. New barrel slightly better. 55g Vmax performed best. Two (10) round groups @ 100 yards. 1st group was 1.3" and 2nd was better as I started relax and control my breathing better, .9 inches. Interesting to note, both groups measured UNDER .5 inches vertically. Spread was all horizontally. Calling this little problem done. It can only get better with a little load development.
  5. Looks goofy and awkward to me but as long as he don't shoot anyone else, I could care less.
  6. Yeah, that's IMR3031. This load is 35.0g of it under that bullet. I use the little cup and Lee dipper to weigh out each charge on my scale. It will NOT meter through a Lyman55.
  7.     OR...if you wanna buck a trend and get this thread back on track....   I have a .308 Survivor Handi rifle.  I could send it to Jess at JES Reboring.  He can rebore a 308 chambered barrel to 338 [or 358 for that matter] for $225 returned.  HOW he does it for that price is beyond me.  I've seen his work, his rifling is AWESOME and his rebored rifles shoot extremely well.  You don't even have to remove the action on most guns.....but I digress.  Rebore the 308 to 338 and add another Boyd's stock like this.  In a world of tacticool tacticrap, it would be a north bound train on a south bound track.
  8. Good question.  It was a loaner from a friend in Michigan.  BUT, the design IS on file with Tom at Accurate molds and he can cut you one.  The original was called the .35 Thor.  I don't recall the manufacturer that made the original ones.  I borrowed it and cast about 3K.  For a single shot, It'll last a while.
  9. Pretty mean looking ole gal...She definitely makes a HOLE!
  10. I've got my .358 dialed in pretty good with one load. 230g Cast with about a 75% meplat running 1825fps. My Nikon is zeroed dead on at 50 and the first circle below the cross hairs is dead on at 100. It's sweet. I have a about 100 rounds more to go before I call this load "Set in Stone" then I'm moving to a 200g Lyman RN I will cast out of some pretty soft stuff and run just below 1050fps for some good 25-50 yard Thumpin'. [That's a technical term btw] It's just a lowly little Handi Rifle, but I am right tickled with it. If I weren't into the .358 Winchester, the .338 Federal would be the first to fill the void. Awesome cartridge.
  11. Dang it bubba, just leave stuff alone man!!! Bought a Mossberg 500 12g for CHEAP. Rough as a cob but the action is tight and it has a 20 inch smooth bore slug barrel with nice rifle sights. Well, Bubba tried to drill and tap the receiver with what I'm guessing to be one of those egg beater hand crank drills. It's BAD. Three screws broke off and a tap broke in the fourth. I got the crews out and had to use a punch to drive the tap fragment out. All I wanna do is fill the holes and forget that happened. I thought of tapping them oversize and using filler screws but they are SO crooked...nahh, I'd rather hide it altogether. I'm gonna paint the whole gun so nows the time. I thought about JB weld, epoxy, fiberglass.....just fill it with globs on both sides, wait for full cure and grind it smooth letting the spray paint hide the filthy secret for good. I just wonder about solvent and lube. An old Mossberg will run pretty much dry but it still needs a little something in there. Thoughts before I start making a mess of things?
  12. You kinda got a fetish for .33 caliber, dontcha?
  13. Kids are stupid these days no doubt about it. Had a kid come in the shop on his donut spare. You know they're dished inward quite a bit and he had it on inside out. I asked him what the heck?? And he said he thought it looked cooler that way.
  14. I think I may have agenda. I get tired and out of breath sometimes and my chest hurts when I overexert myself.
  15. Yep, almost as fast as Chuck Yeager......but without the gentlemanly class.
  16. Good lord. I laughed pretty hard when the little boy started beating that woman with a shampoo bottle.
  17. Wow, 6 posts in and already calling members 'ignorant asses'. You won't be here long.
  18. I can remember him bleeding like a stuck hog! One his best gigs was bleeding from the forehead. RIP.
  19.     Mine wasn't.  We did it in the instructors home and his wife made fresh cookies and lemonade.  It was awesome!
  20. Is it just me or did you hear this when he started running?       https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3IrWhjzAVOo
  21. Good GOD!!!  The man did a heavy metal christmas album too??!!      No wonder he passed away, there wasn't any more ass left on this planet to kick.
  22. One of the finest actors ever to step foot in hollywood.  Rest in peace ole buddy.   Dracula, Count Dooku, Saruman, the list goes on.  The man was making movies before any of us was even born.....well, except maybe OhhShoot, He was probably in the ticket line for his debut performance.  LOL!!!!!!!       He also had, what I believe to be, one of the two finest voices in show business.  James Earl Jones and Christopher Lee are the two most POWERFUL voices one will ever on the big screen.   You will be missed Mr. Lee.....but hey, death is unavoidable and the man passed away at 93!!!!!  What a helluva run he had!!!!!
  23. If you want a Handi rifle, snatch one now.  There won't be any more.  There is no H&R.  You can thank the azzhatz at Remington for screwing up yet ANOTHER once great gun company.     You will NOT regret the CZ.  It's a little bit of $$$ but CZ build an incredible rifle.  I have a 527 Varmint in .223 and it is incredible.
  24. Are you deburring them?  New brass often has some right nasty burrs from the extruding process and even high end companies like Starline can't be bothered to chamfer cases.  The inside burr will grab the expander.
