  1. A word processor????
  2. Working in a couple of Tool & Die shops for 12 or 13 years I did see one thing, shops who buy/use volume get MUCH better deals. Nickel alloys are indeed expensive but more to us than manufacturers who buy a trailer load of it. The YHM Ti phantom goes for close to a grand but I doubt they have mor than a hundred in it.
  3. I don't know what any of that stuff is Dave. You can write everything I know about a computer on a BB with a wide tip marker. That's why I'm such a diehard Mac guy. Simple operating systems laid out simply for simpletons. ...oh ..wait... Funny it only does it here. Other forums have no issues. Something ain't jiving. Nothing I can't put up with, I do most of my posting on a Pad but I thought I might mention it.
  4. Not to be argumentative but how is it "Basically Varget"?  Hodgdons website lists it next to IMR 4064 which is a bit hotter than Varget.       https://www.hodgdon.com/PDF/Burn%20Rates%20-%202014-2015.pdf
  5. I've noticed some small but REALLY aggravating quirks when posting here.     I just got a new iMac and it only does it with THIS computer.  Not my iPhone or iPad.  Also it does NOT do it on other forums.  Only here.   One thing is, sometimes, I will type a long winded post and click preview to proof read and it will all disappear.  EVERYTIME I quote someone and type a response to that quote it will post a blank reply.  Ideas?
  6.           That's not hard to do for a REPUTABLE company.  You know as well as I do We are getting butt raped on new commercial suppressors.  I be the markup/profit margin is 500% or better.

  8. You should just fine but don't shrug this off. Take it as a very good lesson. What if instead of primers it wa powders you mixed up? That 5.4g of power pistol is all good but if you'd picked up Titegroup by mistake you'd be in a lot of trouble. I'm not trying to berate you like some arm chair interwebz expert, mind you. We've ALL made some mistakes along the way, myself included and anyone who says different is a liar. BUT, just understand the gravity of it all. Things can get bad FAST. Good job catching it BTW before it made it to the gun. I would shoot them though and not worry about it. Maybe! Nows a good time for a little test. Segregate (if you can) the two different primers and watch for changes in point of impact and how they "feel". They may not do squat but they may surprise you how different they perform.
  9. Is that close to Mordor?
  10. I'm on the other side of the world from yall but I'd have to say, support those who support us and Law enforcement sales has been a great contributor here.
  11. Dang right BigK.  Wish i had a dollar for every time my grandpa said "GD'it boy quit being a p***y!"   One of his favorite sayings was, If you're gonna be dumb, you gotta be tough.
  12. Ohh hell yeah.  1/2" PVC made for a great bottle rocket launcher bazooka.   Had one bounce off my ribs and land in my pocket before it pooped off.  That was....uncomfortable.   Fireworks and deviant creativity were a hobby of me and cousin of mine.  We'd unroll a hundred firecrackers under a sheet of plywood, then lay on the plywood as they went off under it.
  13. Amen to that. A vacuum sealer is your friend. You can careful tear the tube out the center and then vacuum individual rolls, they'll take up half the space.
  14. You got room for all that, why not throw in 4 Marines between the age 20-25 years old and walk in the middle of them.
  15. Darsk hits on something that don't happen much anymore. Weapons for kids to play with. I had more swords, machetes, throwing stars, nunchucks, and the like than you could haul in a wheel barrow. There was a gun store close to where my great grandfather was in the nursing home. I was maybe ten. I use to ride with granny to visit her dad and she'd take me places afterwards. I went in the gun shop and they had a Monadnock PR24s. I had the money but the guy wouldn't sell it to me. Not selling it wasn't a big deal, laws are laws you know but the guy was a douche about it. We went to Wendy's and gto a burger and granny seen how sad I was and drove back there, went in and bought it. I was standing outside, she walked out the door, handed it to me, that was the end of that. The look on the guy's face was priceless. I gave him my best *neener neener* with a :poop: eatin' grin. Thanks granny.
  16. Lower made in TN too yeah? I know the boys down in Dyersburg are making some clear ones. Pretty cool
  17. When I was about 13, I boiled some H2O2 down to less than a third of its volume. Mixed appropriately with acetone in an ice/rock salt bath to keep it cool. I don't remember and don't want to remember the exact proportions. Given time a white cyrstaline substance forms that's commonly known as TATP. A CO2 cartridge full of FFFg, a steel pipe with threaded caps and a length of cannon fuse; Inserted into the hollow of a fallen beech tree......well uhhhmmmmm. Goddang that was stupid. I was about 50 yards away when and it jarred the ground I stood on. Wood debris fell like rain. Granny heard/felt it at her house about 1500 yards away. Thank god dad was still at work. I got really bored spending summers alone. It's a million wonders I'm here.
  18. I'd like to say good for him, but he would need to move to a new city/county first.  He most likely pissed off a cop.  We won't be starting a cop bashing thread here guys, but fact is, pissing off the cops is always a bad idea.  Cops are just people like us and people hold grudges.  If the speed limit is 45 in his area, I wouldn't drive 46.
  19. Yeah it does. I won't even try to meter it. For what I'll be trying it for, I'll hand weigh each charge.
  20. Who would be the power that 'investigates'? They oughta be investigated by our CIA to see if they could come up with a better Ponzi scheme to boofoo them outta more money. Likewise, some young bored hacker should out there writing worm viruses to seek out Isis and other terror org. financials. Who wouldn't laugh their azzez off if someone stole Taliban identities to buy a few million dollars worth Amazon goods?
  21. Several years ago, back in the parts kit Golden Days, that's how the goons over at the AKFiles would do it. Get a full set of tools and everything, then invite several people over. One brings beer, another some bbq, you got yourself a real man party.
  22. Why? The only screw builds that have ever failed did so for the same reason a rivet build can/will fail. Pisspoor workmanship. Either method works fine and neither will outlast the other. I've found screw builds far easier to do. If one really wants the traditional look, it's a simple matter. I did Romaninan kit with button headed caps screws and used Devcon to fill the heads smooth. Doing a rivet build isn't all that bad but to do it RIGHT, you're gonna have to buy a few tools. Something you should ask yourself, is the cost of the tools worth it? If you're going to build more in the future, then they will pay for themselves. If not....well.
  23. Anything we can do to expedite the process?
  24. I always wondered if one could make an attachment that goes on your shoulder and has a hole in it that conveniently fits the buffer tube of a pistol. It's not a buttstock and its not permanently attached???
