  1. I was going to give a Kudos! to the son until I read this. The parents now need to enroll the son in a training class. Several times from a 44? Where? In the hands and arms??? Several 44 calibers holes anywhere NEAR center mass would have bleed that guy out pretty quick......errr it should have.
  2. Maybe not y'all's definition of cool, but it is mine.
  3. You know, other than Colt, it's hard to find a pencil profiled barrel. For an ultralight weight build, the pencil barrel really shaves weight. I want to see just how light I can build one, I think the wife would love that.
  4. I use the muffin pan too. Goodwill is your friend for that. I cast around 1500 .32 cal round balls Sat. I use them in a 9 pellet 12g buck load. I have a few other casting chores that I have demanded myself to finish before my next casting "fun job" which is a Lyman devastator 130g 9mm hollow point. Can't wait! BTW, it's a loooooong shot but if anyone casts 12g slugs from a Lyman 525 and wants to sell or lease the mold for a few months, I'm in need. In a few weeks I can cast a lifetime supply.
  5. Handguns, rifles and shotguns. Carry a handgun everyday, but I don't like them. They have their place but I'll take my rifle ten to one.
  6. I haven't decided yet. It would be fun to build on one of those and see just how light of a rifle you could build.
  7. Well "From what I've read", and that's worth less that ink it takes to post this reply:D there's been some issues getting orders filled. They are on back order with no word on a date. Some folks have had customer service issues. I mean come on, I read it on the interwebz so it's gotta be true. I have not read one report about quality issues though. They appear to be very well made.
  8. That is just too funny!
  9. The guy with the M16A1 has the hostage covered but he looks like he's in more trouble than the mug; What staring down that rocket launcher and all!!!!
  10. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire...
  11. Oh that opens a can of worms. Much to ponder. Thank you.
  12. Has the mug been allowed to receive it's Red Cross box, or do standard rules not apply?
  13. :koolaid:Hello
  14. Hostage situation? Cool
  15. I have a .50 cal barrel that fits onto my Mossberg 500. It does fairly well but it's a bear to clean as it has no breech plug and the action has to be completely disassembled to clean it or you get gooey crap for days. Never hunted with it, I more so got it for the novelty.
  16. I was web-shopping around, looking at AR lowers. Is there anything different? I mean, skulls and zombies are cool, but I already have one. Seekins has a billet lower that is super cool looking but it's $300. Yikes!!! NodakSpud has some interesting Old School options as well as a flat dark earth mated pair (upper and lower) that I really like. PlumCrazy is supposed to have the polymer lower, but they are shifty people. I google for maybe 10 minutes and I get fed up. I'm not good on digging around. I'd rather look dumb and ask.
  17. MidTNShooter, very cool. I wonder; We all have our suspicions, boundaries and commitments. That's a given. I don't propose anything, I'm merely trolling (positively!!!) for response here. Would it be possible that there are people in the eastern Hickman/Dickson, northern Maury western Williamson county area interested in such a thing? AND by such a thing I mean realistic, honest people of at least some semblance of moral fiber, free from perverts, liars, heathen and all other forms of moral degenerates? I like a shot of Black Label once in a while and I'll throw out a Æ’Ω©k you in a heartbeat if I'm cross but there's a line that used to be clear many moons ago but has been obscured by the feel good generations of late. My wife loathes the idea of my meeting strangers for such reasons as what is obvious here, but I can think of few things I can do better for her than to develop more skills and secure a future existence for the two of us. ??????????? ††â€
  18. It's probably worth more than the tanking american dollar.
  19. I like my rechargeables because I use them for man other things as well, but yes the 24 pack will go a long way so long as you don't forget to turn it off. Done that a few times! One thing I do like to do is buy a pack of Energizer lithium ion AA's to store in the battery compartment of my magpul stock. I rotate those every year. Should a crisis of some sort arise I like knowing those are in there.
  20. IT's the way to go!!! Mine takes AA's, I love it. If you're going to spend that kind of dough, go ahead and buy two or three sets of HIGH quality rechargeables.
  21. That's an absolutely brilliant idea.
  22. Like I said, I don't want a debate over steel cased stuff and AR extractors, BUT my biggest beef with ANY steel cased stuff is It's too light. 99% of it is 55g. No thanks. I shed all my 55g stuff a few years ago along with the slower twist barrels. My main rifle is a 1/7 and I use a 75g HPBT. I've been really surprised at the difference. Maybe it's all in my head? One thing about it, if I'm going to go to the time and expense of getting professional training, I'm thinking I should train with what I plan to utilize in the future. Besides, I keep piling this crap up, I should use some of it. I'm a diehard reloader though. I cringe at the thought of all that glorious brass on the ground.
  23. The last thing I want to do is start another long winded pointless debate over an un-resolvable issue. Suffice to say I don't, won't and never have put steel cased ammo in my AR's. You do spawn a reasonable solution and that's to just shoot all the mixed headstamp plinking brass I have stored. Use and and let it lie. I suppose worrying about the brass could/would distract me from paying attention to every detail.
  24. Well, I want one for a possible upcoming training course. While I will be paying to be there, it's a bit much to ask for them to that accommodating. It could also interfere with others. I either have to find a useable catcher or accept that I may not make it home with all my brass
  25. Do show and tell what you come up with McAllyn.
