    New Gun Day!!

Oh, well don't pay me any attention then.
  2. Working from home has a few hidden curses. I've worked from home for 7 years now. Of those curses, foremost is time. Time begins to lose it's substantial meaning. I remember 2007 like it was yesterday...because it was yesterday! If not for my iPod in my pocket I couldn't make out receipts because I wouldn't have any idea what day it is. The ONLY reason I know when it's Sunday is because we only work half a day on Saturday and I know to NOT set my clock that night. A close second is disillusionment with the public. I thought I hated the sheeple when I worked in town. Now I don't don't have to commute and mingle with them on a daily basis which means I am no longer numb to it, WHICH means I get SUPER angry when I have to drive and rub elbows with them. My patience for the idiot populace at large that can't drive, can't decide what to order, can't figure out how the self check out works is all but gone. The fact that I don't interact with them daily is directly responsible. Just be mindful my friend. There are exponentially more benefits than deficiencies though. No: *$100+ spent in gas *Wear and tear on your vehicle (and nerves) * no wasted $$$ on fast food (your heart will thank you) *eat from your own fridge *crap in your bathroom (don't laugh, it's worth a lot!) *No worries about open carry! *the list goes on Kings to you on your new job!

    New Gun Day!!

Nice! Very Nice! ...just do a thorough safety check first.
  4. The Mecgar's for my XD-9 are 18+1 flush fit. My God man, how dang many does zombie hunter need?
  5. I really like the XDm. That's a nice pistol. I just own so many XD's already. I mean, who's the frickin' idiot over at SA that decided NOT to make the XD and XDm mags interchangeable? He ought to get fired.
  6. Ain't it!!!? It takes some getting used to; How they use patches.
  7. For survival maintenance and cleaning you just can't beat the OTIS system. I have one on each of my MOLLE packs.

How many times have we seen this video? Never gets old. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X8imjiuOx1c&feature=fvsr
  10. Yeah I hear the delivery vehicle is powered by an Atari 2600.
  11. That was pretty good! AND TRUE!
  12. SKOL!!!
  13. Well hell man, it ain't supposed to be fun. Alcohol is the solvent of our soiled lives. Just a slosh to rub out the ink stain that was the day.
  14. Yankee hill suppressor and their quick change muzzle device for all my AR's.
  15. There was a man a while back who killed his wife with a weedeater, ate her up with a weedeater! There's no "cooling off period on a weedeater! No background check for a weedeater. Dangit! Driveway weeds can wait three days. We need to do something about that too! ... above line stolen from Tim Wilson.
  16. Someone needs to invent a QUALITY set up for bib overalls. I don't know if you wear overalls, but a lot of the big fellas around here do. If there was a way to do that, it would be a fine solution. HA! Could you imagine 5.11 tactical overalls?
  17. Heck yeah! I have already been casting single "0" buck; 9 pellet load. It's tedious from a double cavity Lee mold, but I got the time so what the hey? I cast it from straight WW and they are quite hard. They'll penetrate very well. Almost too much. Almost. It's like a poor mans AP buck shot. Never been a shotgun man till I got a auto loader from Magiccarpetrides. I had an extra barrel for it and cut it to 19 inches. Quick shots of "0" buck is pretty devastating.
  18. I hear ya. I stopped using any lightweight .223's a while ago. My Ar eats mainly 75g HPBT with occasional 69g. I have been toying with 80g Amax but I haven't had much time with them. I like the 75g and 2520. In a 1/7 barrel it's really a step up from 55g FMJ in terms of performance. I do keep a supply of 62g'ers for my 1/9 barreled AR. It's great for busting rocks and dirt clods. I found AA 2520 years ago loading 308 win. There's no better powder for 308 to be had. They call 2520 the "Camp Perry Powder" SO, I tried if for 303 Brit, 8mm, 223 Heck, it worked excellent for everything. I only keep two rifle powders nowadays. 2520 will do all my jacketed loading and I use AA 5744 for my cast rifle loads.
  19. I got a new mold coming in tomorrow or the next day (tomorrow I hope) A lyman 525 slug mold. Can't wait to get started on that. They are bad boys! Make a really big hole.
  20. I guess I'm the one goon who thinks they ARE kinda gimicky. I have long thin fingers so I can wrap around just about any grip with ease.
  21. Just how, exactly is this a bad thing?
  22. I built my 4th AR from a Double Star Lower and a Delton upper. It does really well. To the OP, you might try AA 2520 also. It's what I use. I like a ball powder myself, and 2520 burns really clean.
  23. ^^^^This, and it works quite well.
  24. Never, do I ever, drink in the company of another person. I used to think I had several reasons. Really I only have one. Three's company when it's me and Johnny Black.
