I know just what you're talking about. I SERIOUSLY recommend a respirator when smelting. Get them into clean ingots and then you won't need it, but when you're melting all that grease, spit and funk, not to mention any of the coated WW's, you REALLY don't need to breathe that man! Really.

First off, Welcome! Second, If the TSHTF tomorrow and all I had was your AK and Glock, I'd be more than confident. You picked two of the most reliable weapons ever made.

I don't care what the experts say, the only thing that's fire proof is GOD, so don't rely on a fire safe. DO NOT put all your guns in one place. What an absolute waste. I'll not be fool enough to think it can't happen to me, but I work at home and I can get everything I care about on my shoulders in one load; In less than 45 seconds. People are too comfortable in their own homes. I don't expect everyone to be like me, but you can't be ready for a calamity if you can't get your stuff and be gone FAST. Personally I like to live like I'm in an extended stay hotel. This just furthers my resolve to not be static with my personal possessions. Really sad, there WAS some really nice guns in there.

Weather is getting nice, though admittedly cool this morning. Owl Hollow eerrr uh Charlie Haffner Memorial Gun Range looks like a halfway point. Few of us ought shake hands down there some time.

I'll probably never buy one, but I sure would like to. I have several boxes of CCI and I don't even own a 22 mag. {don't ask, I don't know why either!} Thirty rounds, that's awesome. AND it beats the FN57 IMHO, for a super high capacity, small caliber handgun. Maybe if these catch on, prices on 22 mag will fall a bit. Ppffttt yeah right.

The guy that lives across the street moved down here with the company that is building 840. So saith him, they should have it open completely, some time next year. Can't wait. That will link the majority of us together with a much faster route. Not to mention provide a feasible path to the 'Boro. I'm so sick of Bellevue and Franklin. (No offense to anyone) I'd just like a different place to go out to eat. Demos' in the "boro is very good. But I digress. From the looks of it, next year we'll have a wide open path to the opposite side of the map (so far) that will bypass nashville I40 & I 65. WooHoo!

I had a Buck folder in Boy Scouts. I miss that thing, it was a heck of a knife. It was a single blade, rather large by BSA standards. Green plastic handles with finger grooves and a lanyard hole. I've not seen one in many many moons.

Well, we could use a clever name. How about some suggestions and then a vote. Winning name could be used for a member group. Volunteer Walker Stalkers? Need a cool logo like the Zombie Response Team, and Zombie Response Unit

I was heavy into the AK for a long time. Built all mine. Then, I built my first AR. I can't even remember who I sold all my AK stuff to. As far as parts kits? The AK hayday is long passed. If you shop hard, you can find a deal, but it'll never be what it was before.

You know, that's funny to me. It certainly takes a different colored duck to play the game. I mean, sure most men might like to dish out a beating, but to take one too and call it fun? Nah, not for me. I understand, respect and appreciate the mutual respect and good sportsmanship among most fighters. That doesn't make it any less weird. Two guys can go out and drink together and chase women all night after having beat the piss out of one another a few hours earlier. I'm sorry, but if you punch me in the mouth, we can't be friends anymore. That's just how I'm wired. I'm glad it is the way it is though. It's best entertainment, sportswise, money can buy.

Creeky, i'd say that's far from useless brother, draw up some comics, pass them out to the kids, keeps them quiet. Quiet is always a good thing. HAM operator would be great too. General trigger puller? Well, them dang zombies ain't gonna kill they self!!!!
