  1. Supporting member here, Chip Cain at Cain Lawfirm is you man. He makes it easy. He did mine and I never went to his office even once. You'll need an email address to trade emails with the man, and you'll need access to a notary with witness capability. I say that they'll need witness capability, I went to my bank, they do free notarizations but refuse to notarized anything that needs witnesses. (stupid!) so I used a local lady who took care of it. He will emai you a little questionnaire and then prepare it in a file that you can print out. He give detailed instructions and after you notarized the papers, it's done. No filing with some guberment bureaucracy. Easy. Make copies of the WHOLE THING and put the master copy away in your safe. Take a copy to your nearest NFA dealer, buy whatcha want, .........and wait....and wait...and wait.
  2. Hmmm, looking at the picture; are the bushings easily removed? If so, the hole is obviously through, I'm betting they tapped it all the way through as well. It is possible (unlikely but possible) that drilling into the zerk will thread it all the way through and falling out the inside. Then you could clean up everything and reassemble. Probably not, but something to study before you start.
  3. If you are capable of drilling it out, then drill the center of the grease fitting to the next size up (ease out). Removing at least some of the material from the center of the fitting will let it collapse some, loosening the thread tension. Just be extra careful to go slow and easy so as to not force the fitting in deeper/tighter. This is where left handed drill bits are worth their weight in gold.
  4. More than worth it. If you got kids, the dog is a friend and guardian. A good dog "just knows things" you and I dont.
  5. Well, you got the little turd in the right place now. I bet it's a right bit cooler on the porcelain than the engine block. Lol!
  6. Dolomite says people are F'ing awful. The best response I can think of to a comment like that.....     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOi6v5DD_1M
  7. I'm with spots, I hate cats with a passion.....but wouldn't tolerate their needless suffering either. It takes a sick, severely physically/sexually/emotionally frustrated person to torment an animal. And as to giving preference to animals over humans? I probably shouldn't ........but I will. I have more respect any animal over the 'average human'. Animals aren't liars. They're animals. Bears aren't evil because they snack on an occasional hiker. It's a friggin' BEAR! It's what they do. It's my firm and steadfast opinion that a dog is God's finest work. Far surpassing man, for whom they are especially suited to serve with loyalty and distinction. If one thinks they've ever had a human love them more than a good dog, they're either deluded or never had a good dog. I recently lost my best friend and were it in my power to do so, I would short dick every Charlie chan in China to have him back. He certainly had more value to me than 90% of the humans I've ever met.
  8. Damn right. A Grace Kelley or Hedy Lamar kills any of the show it all hollywood trash of today. I lament the passing of classy ladies being 'in style'.
  9. Got any old college pictures? ...no not those! Pics of you and your buddies.
  10. I would imagine this is money WELL spent. Not just for the training it provides but don't you you think North Korea watched this too on some level. I doubt there was any loss of life in this exercise and if it gives North Korea even a little pause, it was worth it. Nothing would make fools like the North Korean government back all the way down short of actually whippin their ass but, live another day.
  11. The ultimate upper body workout would be that rifle and a beta c magazine.
  12. Didn't they make a .223 that took AR magazines?
  13. I just got rid of the last of my colored liquors.  Just can't do it anymore.  Dunno why they hurt my stomach so bad.  ohh well.         I did discover quite the nice little drink tonight.  POM wonderful over crushed ice with a shot of Golden Grain (190).  Very nice.  A bit strong on the tastebuds but I like it.   I think I'll call it a PomaGrainian.
  14. Hey, at least it's not Vista.
  15. Then you probably ain't got a problem.
  16. It might. I'll definitely shoot it first, but I kinda got the feeling ya know? Just lining up my ducks for this winter project.
  17. Depends on how much you're having to size back.  I've resized some brass fired from very loose chambers and you will get some shaving, especially if you're light on the lube.   Just do a double check and keep an eye on it.
  18. it's alright 'till you get some azzhole in the group like Caster..........oh wait.
  19. It's a Columbian military 30/06. The stock is an aftermarket thumb hole affair, I'm betting Boyd's. With the intensity of a 30/06 and as thin as this barrel is, I'm worried about barrel whip. I'm not inclined to shorten it because that defeats the benefits a 30/06 offers over a 308. I can move the barrel with thumb pressure. This rifle will never wear a scope and my eyes suck but I want to remove any room for error on the rifles part if I can.
  20. There's already a considerable amount of room in the barrel channel. More than enough I'd say.
  21. You can unseat them. Just go very slow and deliberate. I've decapped live primers and reused them. Just be careful enough that you don't disturb the anvil.
  22. What would you use for a release agent? I bedded a forearm to a Handi rifle with JB weld and used Vaseline on the barrel. It still stuck so bad I thought the forearm would break before I prid it off. Boy, it sure fits nice though! I actually have a large marinetex kit. Maybe I'll use that.
  23. If one were gonna do that, why do it in the middle of the highway? The same result will happen at your local police station and you won't inconvenince the rest of us.
  24. Sigh... Yeah, I'll end up doing it myself. I tried to talk myself into paying someone but an Acraglas kit is cheap and I'm going to refinish the stock anyway. I really don't want to though.
