  1. You mean there's actually a ruger in there:D Looks alot more accurate than even the above average shooter. Good Job.
  2. I've seen them on the move over the years but never at this level. Or, perhaps I'm an idiot and never paid as much attention:D
  3. I work at home. I'm outside for the majority of the day and I [think] I am pretty observant in what goes on around here. Every month the DEA comes over, he's maybe 6 ft over the tree tops. Then there's the random helicopter like Life-flight and what not, and, since Ft. Campbell is literally just a few minutes away {in a blackhawk} I see the occasional military helicopter. THis is over the last decade and the rhythm has been consistent up until this last month. I have seen DOZENS of apache, countless blackhawk and chinooks. Waaayy more than normal. Now I ain't paranoid, but it's weird none the less. A few days ago I counted something like 9 apaches at once. Just a few minutes ago I saw about 7-8 but they were too far away to see what kind they were. Uncle sam is burning some fuel in middle/west TN.
  4. I think AR-15's are better than AK-47's.
  5. A business that doesn't make any money yet spends more than they take in, going out of business. Surprise, surprise, surprise! That's why I liked Ol'e Ross Perot, run this country like a business and we could all prosper.
  6. Zombies beware! That's awesome.
  7. I'd vote for him if I can get a video of him telling Hillary and Nancy "You're Fired!"
  8. 1.3 miles, that's 2288 yards if I'm not mistaken. Wow. Habeeb never heard the gun go off. His buddy would have just heard a faint zip..thump. That's incredible.
  9. Well, in that case, let your money bring you happiness! Be safe.
  10. Why do people insist on encouraging this junk? Hellfire triggers, bump firing, gatling trigger, now this. *sigh* Instead of wasting ammo dumping it on the ground with poor accuracy, actually hitting the target with every shot makes a lot more sense. I guess I'm a loser cause I just don't get the fascination with pseudo-full tilt boogie attachments.
  11. Don't forget
  12. After the War, german engineers were running for their very lives. Well, it is my understanding that some fled to spain. While there they further developed the design of the roller locking system. These were likely the guys who had helped develop the STG44. See H&K likes to claim the design as all German, and from a certain point of view it is, but spain was producing the CETME long before H&K did. Or so my understanding goes. I had one made by Century arms. It was like anything else made by Century. It was garbage. These rifles are NOT for folks who reload. The fluted chamber that aids in extraction, make it difficult to resize and basically just destroys brass.

    8mm Mauser

Well, with old school military arms, the barrel is covered by handgaurds.
  14. Tom knows guns, unlike 99% of the rest of the hollywood trash. He only did what a real man ought to do. Good job Tom!

    8mm Mauser

*Moderators, please move or delete if need be, I didn't want to clutter the classifieds with this.* I'm getting out of 8mm. It's not been an easy decision, but it's been made. I have one rifle left that I can't just sell to anyone. It's not dangerous, it's not illegal. Here's the deal. I got an FR-8 a while back that the barrel had been just a turd. The gun has since been rebarreled back to the receiver's original caliber of 8mm. It was easy, just found a really nice K98 barrel, turned it to the exact same profile as the 308 barrel and put it back exactly the way it was. You can't tell the difference in it and an original FR-8 in 7,62x51NATO. Therein lies the problem. I need to move the gun, but I can't just let John Q Public get their hands on it, for fear some dummy will stick a 308 in it. The receiver NEEDS to be stamped, but I didn't for two reasons. Someone could put it back to 7,62 if they wanted, and I don't have a decent stamp set anyway. If there's any SERIOUS 8mm Mauser fans around middle TN, give me PM and lets talk. Serious suggestions on the matter are welcome too.
  18. Well, look at the Mauser. Many moons ago, you couldn't swing a dead cat in a gun show, what you didn't hit a dozen of them. Find them now. The stray Yugo occasionally. The rest are gone or command a hefty price. The Mosin could easily be the same way. Just for fun/reference I have a few old copies of gun magazines from the late 60's. A listing shows : Enfield - $20 Mauser - $25 Russian Army bolt action - $12.50 My how things have changed.
  19. They are exactly what Garufa said. If that's your definition of all that and a bag of chips, then yes, you need one. I've had several. "Had" being the operative word there. I thought they were all that, but they never came with a bag of chips so I parted ways. No, seriously, I just didn't like feeding another caliber that, while easy to get mil-surp ammo for, is not so easy to get decent components to reload for.
  20. I think the quality of work you did looks excellent. Certainly NOT a bubba 'smith hack job. You should be proud. Having said that, I'm not a big fan of that particular pattern.

  22. I guess I'm just a sci-fi junkie cuz evertime I hear about this broad or her family or that retarded show I think of these guys.
  23. Somebody send this to Jay Leno. This is perfect for his running "fat a22 american" jokes.
