  1. I thought this was pretty cool. Not for DOG! But, it just shows who mans' best friend is. Pit takes bullet for owner.
  2. Seriously, I recall hearing a story from a guy Knob Creek back in the late 90's where an adventurous soul with a manufacturers lic, actually registered a Dewalt cordless drill as a post 86 dealer sample. It would then be used on an otherwise legal for anyone hand crank gatling gun. I believe it was for a .22 made from 10/22 barrels. I never saw the drill so I can't attest to the truth of that, but I DID see the mini gatling made from 10/22 barrels.
  3. BUT, add an electric motor to the crank and you got an big no no.
  4. Well, i'll chip in too. I don't like the fact that it's thrown in our faces everywhere on TV and media, but if you say you don't like it or want to hear/see or read it, you're a bigot. I don't understand what's wrong with the attitude of "Don't bring it around me and shove it in my face and I promise not to say what I think out loud." That seems simple to me, but what do I know? I don't have to like it, and you don't have a right to try to force me to like it. I don't have a right to persecute anyone over it, but I SHOULD have a right to say "Get that crap away from me." It's perfectly acceptable top say that to drug dealers and girl scouts {what's the difference?} but not them? Whatever.
  5. Point taken, that makes sense. I was thinking of some rednecks that frequent the business I work at. I have heard them tell tale of hunting coyotes and purposefully taking rear quarter/bowel/gut shots so the coyote will suffer. Nasty little fellows like that, always get their comeuppance.
  6. Why just domestic animals? ANY animal. You wanna kill it and grill it, do it. If it's a threat, neutralize it. Torture and abuse only shows how mentally, emotionally and sexually retarded a person is. For all those who make it a practice to abuse animals, I hope they all meet a rabid chimpanzee while unarmed and alone. {FYI male chimpanzees have been know to literally tear human male genitals off of the body during an attack} My dog was abused and malnourished when I got him. Aggressive and afraid, I spent three years forming a bond of trust and now we are best of friends. I wish the people who abused him would come and try to do it now. Back then he was 1 year old and 30 pounds tops. Now he's around 4 years old and 85 pounds of pit muscle. I would give a crispy C note to watch him tear those SOB's limbs from their torso. If you want to kill an animal, have the common courtesy to make every effort to do it quickly and efficiently.
  7. I knew you'd be along shortly.
  8. Yeah, he's a great guy and doesn't care where you shoot your pistol as long as it impacts the berm. BUT, I asked him if I could test out the last AK I built in the pistol pit because the rifle range was packed and no one was in the pit. He said he would prefer I did not. I understood, and went on to shoot my pistols. I've always taken that as a sign of his regards toward rifles in the pit. Who knows.
  9. I think 300g JHP and roughly 1200 FPS that changed your mind, I don't know. You were certainly welcome.
  10. That's some big pile o right there. I know at CHMR centerfire rifles are not allowed in the pistol pit, but I was shooting my Ruger bisley @ 100 yards [just goofing off] and as long as they hit dirt, it's perfectly acceptable. I dunno what their reasoning is, but it's flawed and bassackward.
  11. Don't forget moon clips!
  12. ehhhh, don't be so sure. I've known cops who are devout anti gun, firm believers that only LEO and military should have access to a weapon.
  13. aww Yeah of course. There were perfectly good Germans in the late 30's too I reckon...... somewhere.
  14. Wow, nut job huh? Was there some contagion from the rain down in Africa that affects his brain or what? ....sorry.
  15. It's what I'm shooting, but the length is something to consider. [of course I reload mine] One other BIG concern is twist. The 75g may not stabilize with slower twist rates. It does wonderful in my 1/7. The difference, well the Vmax is made for rapid dang near explosive expansion for little critters. The Amax is made for super accurate shooting. I've read that they are not even recommended for hunting but, I've read even more that say contrary. I will be hunting deer this fall with a 168g Amax in my 308. I don't expect any issues or long, involved tracking either.
  16. Tap is Amax. The Vmax or the Amax will work absolutely.
  17. I love how you lump ammo and groceries together as sibling commodities. I can respect a man who has his priorities squared away.
  18. Why does this picture make me want to watch The Karate Kid?
  19. ^ this
  20. Good for you, if ever my local dives do the deed, I'll for sure try it!
  21. Yes he does! I think he'll go far for two reasons. Talent is obvious, but the other reason is he puts himself out there and loves to be out there. You can see the look on the little fellar's face, he loves what he's doing. That makes it even more impressive to me.
  22. Dem's who open cary and might like to have the occasional drink while dining out and feel it is perfectly acceptable because they don't think a beer or two compromises their judgment in any way.
  23. Someone with no sense of humor and no patience will be along and throw plenty of popcorn at you. You may not want it though, you should consider where it comes from. Okay, that's enough from me.
