Robin Hood was a green tight wearing communist. Take from rich to give to the poor is good for only one thing, inciting riot and potential war. There's a natural order to things, and the wealthy have the power. You're not going to change that. Who do the idiots of this world think they are to even fathom changing that?!!??!! You ever wonder why people like Bill Gates can do whatever they want? His whole anti-trust suit was a puppet show for the masses. He is NOT bound by the same laws as you and I and neither are any of the other elitists of the world. Riddle this bit of fiction out in your head if you don't agree. Gates gets attacked financially by the feds. He gets mad enough to get violent over it. He begins a massive liquidation of assets and moves what he has to China. Terminates ALL US employees and I will bet you million to one, China would welcome him with arms wide open. Him and all his technical assets. Setting religion aside {sorry Lord} for just a second, The only real power in this world is "WANT" If you want it, you'll do what it takes to get it. If someone else has it and will give it to you, you'll do what they ask in return. Think about this; What if I were a billionaire and I decided to smuggle men from Sierra Leon to TN. I give these men all they can eat, clothes, homes, medical care and I provide ALL their families the same thing. Being a billionaire it's doable. Now I give the children an education, the women and weaker men a job in a factory and I tell the strong men, if you want the life I have put before you, this is what you have to do fill in the blank What will they do? They'd likely kill everyone in their path if instructed to do so. Go further, you and your family are in a very bad way. Your wife and kids have nothing because YOU have nothing. The feds give you a handout of (X) but since they took it from me [still pretending to be a rich guy here] I'm upset and it's no longer about the money. I offer you (X)(2). Twice as much and all you have to do be a part of ______________________ Don't mess with rich people. The truly wise and strong men of the world understand this and they will always side with them over some pathetic hippie peace and equality any day. You have the right to survive and make your attempt at success, but if you poke the Taipan with a stick, you will get bit and you will expire. Sorry, that's real life in a real world. Waste your life trying to change it or just get busy living.

Okay. I like alcohol even though it hurts worse during use. I don't know why but if you clean a wound with alcohol and use it to clean when you rebandage, there's almost no soreness during the healing process. My grandfather got me started pouring alcohol on cuts when I was a wee lad. Peroxide gives a feel good effect cause you get to see the chemical reaction.

Didn't know that one. What about after the stitches? I've been changing the bandage every 6 hours or so and using peroxide before patting dry with sterile gauze and re-bandaging with a little dab of generic Neosporin. Not to argue or contradict, because I certainly have no proper education the matter, but as of this morning it looks very good. No goo running out, no strange smell, it's only tender right at the wound itself, and the only pain I've had from it [other than bumping into stuff!] is a certain way I stretch out my arm that puts strain the stitches. (Yeah I know, don't stretch my arm that way:))

Is anyone happy with the "NEW" Comcast cable guide?
Caster replied to Links2k's topic in General Chat
I actually remember being a little kid and all we had was 2, 4, 5, 8 and if the sky was clear we could get fox 17. Channel 8 was public (gag) and if the president was on, the night was ruined. Wizard of Oz only came on ONCE a year and it was border line to being a holiday. Rabbit ears, betamax Episodes of MASH..........better times. Everything on TV was halfway interesting. Now I have (in the hundreds) channels and there is absolutely NOTHING I want to watch. I swear I wish sometimes Radio would make a comeback and old timey radio shows would come back. I don't want to sound like Ted Kizinsky [this was actually the premise of his manifesto] But the modern industrial/technological society has cheated man out of the reality of life. -
Okay, so you can take a negative G, but NOT type O negative THANKS! I'll call out to Oprymills and double check, then I will have to make a trip out there.

Thanks, I've sewn myself several times. Always leaves a prominent scar [i'm not very good] but it doesn't cost a thousand dollars in the ER either [no insurance]. Lidocaine? No, but I will add some to the stores. I wet a washcloth and bite down on it, and flush with a 50% rubbing alcohol. Hurts but I swear later there isn't near as much soreness. I used a cotton swab [NOT A QTIP] one of those individually wrapped wooden stick type. Gently wiped the inside out while looking with a sure fire light. Then I boiled it well with H2O2 and pulled it closed with the stitches. I don't why, but some people are absolutely amazed that someone will stitch themselves as opposed to having the system do it for you. It's not a tough guy or macho kinda thing. Some people are REALLY going to be in trouble some day. There will be countless numbers of people die from something as simple as this.

I find the idea of a weak stomached pilot a conundrum.

Amen to that troutburger. You know, if you get used to carrying a handgun everyday, in a short time 6-12 months; You'll not even notice you have it. Me? I feel naked without it.
-
That kind of behavior perpetuates continued "low crime" numbers.

Would you rather have it and not need it or need it and not have it? It's YOUR guns after all. I mean this in the most respectable way possible, but do you handle them safely? Sure you do! Well then carry them around your home, exercise your freedoms our forefathers died for, our troops have and continue to die for. Honor them by honoring what they have fought for. If you don't live your life and embrace the freedoms we have, their sacrifice means squat.

I've been storing non perishable medical supplies for years. You can never have enough! WELL, I had a bit of an accident while moving my lathe yesterday and my benchtop lathe turned over on me while I was bolting it down to it's new bench. Well, the tool bit I had in it buried about an inch or better into my arm and about 2-3 inches long. It was deep enough I could see the fatty tissue coming out. Soaked my shirt and pants, even down to my underwear with blood. ALL OVER MY NEW SHOP FLOOR!!!!!!!!!! I packed it off and got inside to my BOB. I cleaned it and stitched it up with a suture needle The bleeding wasn't life threatening but it was annoying while trying to sew the hole shut. Got me thinking. I need to add some Quickclot® to my things. Now I can order the regular stuff online, but I want to know where one gets the presoaked Quickclot bandages like our troops have. Any ideas?

He'll probably be alright as long is it doesn't say "I love Jesus" they'll likely arrest for that.

Reloading bench in the house or in the garage?
Caster replied to Dad03's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
When I lived on my own, I built a reloading bench that would sit like a TV tray, only sturdier. Anywhere I sat in my living room, I could work brass while I watched TV. -
Chupacabra scat.

It's nice. Very nice. Please be safe. A man my dad used to work with raced sport bike professionally for a while. He told me when I was a dumb kid just getting into bikes. "Son, there's only two kind of motorcycle rider. ONLY two. NOT three, TWO! There's people who have had wrecks, and there's people who are going to have wrecks. If you ride long enough, it will happen." I beat the odds, I sold mine a few years ago and walked away. On a side note, he's also the one who told me to stop wearing cheap $75-100 helmets. He told me "If you got a two dollar head, fine wear a two dollar helmet. My head is worth a tad more." He wore some $500 custom job. That was a lot of money for a helmet in the early 90's.

Mobile 1 5-20 synthetic and Lucas red grease. I keep a can of Remoil around, but I swear it's more for the smell than the lube. Plus I can spray the fire out of a gun I may be putting away for a time, and let it seep into tight spots. Guys that use motor oil; Go to Michael's. Yeah that sissy mary craft shop our wives go to from time to time. Ask for generic dispenser bottles. They have different sizes and nozzle shapes, but they are placed sporadically [poorly!] around the store. I bought about dozen bottles in about 5 different size/shapes and $6 quart of Moblie 1 filled them all and now they reside all around this place.

Don't know what happened. It's like this idea was forgotten. BUT, I'm still in. How you doing StPatrick.

^ this. I was all set to type these very words upon reading the initial post. Grunt, you beat me to it. Foolish idea. Foolish.

I guess I'm the luckiest guy in the pistol world. Every Taurus I have and have ever had works perfect right out of the box. It's not that I don't believe the complaints, but it sure is hard to.

Like we didn't see this coming eons ago? As personal devices progress and their use lets the public into personal lives, someone has been there the whole time for the purpose of exploiting the information easily taken from them.

If you're using military brass you need to back off say 10% and carefully work your way up. Thicker brass means smaller internal capacity which means increased pressure. BTW, EXCELLENT choice on powder. 2520 is all I use and it does awesome in 223 and 308. I use a 75g HPBT match in my 1/7 AR. Works great.

Yes they do. Don't let the plastic fool you. They're as sturdy as any. Sturdier than a lot actually.
