  1. Ohhh man that sucks. So sorry for you guys. I wonder what most people don't really underestimate the mississippi river. I know I have. It's a bad boy of a river for fact and for certain.
  2. Maybe ummm, if he don't like the city, get out and don't come back? No, wait that's too simple.
  3. You're probably right. And I'm just saying, we can go on and on about what a cop is supposed to do, but when he takes it and starts reading rights, what are you going to ? I used to get my blood pressure up really high arguing over this, but I've come to grips now. They can take from you, they can and they will. What's right and what's wrong means squat. Might makes right. You can tell them what they can and can't do all day long, but the instant they do something you disagree with and you do anything other than cooperate, you lose. It's not a bow down and admit defeat attitude; It's a rethink how you go about things attitude.By Law he can't throw you a beating either, but push one and see. All this is rubbish anyway. Posted or not, do not carry to large concert events in the Bridgestone Arena. It's just not worth the hassles you'll get.
  4. ^ We have a winner.
  5. Back when I was working Tool & Die, I helped a guy go down this road. Three words, "Ain't worth it" We finished them on a Fadal and it wasn't all that difficult, it was just more trouble than it was worth. Maybe you can get better mileage, everyone's will vary. Good Luck.
  6. Right. Most permit holders are paranoid about losing their permit, or having actually use their weapon, they go out of their way to look for potential threats and avoid trouble. I know I am much more aware because I carry then I was before I carried.
  7. The more I think about it, the more there is to this whole thing. First, people shouldn't need EVERYTHING to be "properly posted" Half reason the gooberment has umpteen million laws now is because no one has the common sense to make a good judgement call anymore. People cry for freedom and liberty and less government involvement yet they have to have someone hold their hand for day to day decisions. That's the pitiable people of the country. Second, if you really use your noggin you'd see that that a concert is the LAST place you want a gun. I will say I would have liked mine for the walk back to the car, but as I have said before, if I get that scared I can keep my butt at home. A concert is like a supermax prison. YOU DO NOT WANT A GUN there during an altercation. Say someone attacked you and "legally and justifiably" defended yourself. Well, Law don't go there, MOB rules there. An AR and a Beta C wouldn't be enough. The chances of getting overrun by the mob is very high. Then, it's a gruesome demise for you. No thanks. Get into a fight and use anything but a gun, and the crowd will probably only cheer it on. Crowds DO NOT like guns. Think people, think. Doesn't matter wether we like it, what is, is what is.
  8. No the worse they can do is turn you away and invalidate your ticket by banning you access. There were over a dozen dressed police officers at the entrance I used. Really, the "LAW" is moot. You can be a Dream Team Johnny Cochran, super lawyer and when the man stands in front of you and says "so & so" You can do nothing but fuss about it later. I agree that technically if it's not posted per TN law, you should be able to carry, but they are NOT going to let you, they don't care about the exact word of the law and there's nothing anyone can do about it except maybe sue them and lose which would only have them put the proper sign out there. No judge is going to side with the second amendment over the thought of a building full of teen angst driven mosh pit nutters and beer guzzling party animals. It's a metal concert after all. They don't want guns in there. I always get reserved seats, and there's a reason I don't do general admission, it's the same reason they don't want a person carrying in there; Loud heavy music brings out the crazy in people.
  9. Yeow!!! Ears ringing, but heck of a good time. Street is right, look like a thug, the cops'll pat you down. Act respectable, you're good to go. I won't carry no matter what the technical rules are. It's not worth some cop taking my weapon and cheating me out of the concert. If I can't be separated from my pistol, then I should stay out of concerts. That's the way I see that. Tough stuntman, that's for sure
  10. Have it Cerakoted black and have the best of both worlds!!!
  11. Avenged 7 Fold, Three days Grace, & Bullet for my Valentine!!!! I might see you there!!!! BTW, far as I know, it is posted. I haven't carried there, don't plan too either. Security is pretty dang tight there as far dealing with idiots. I carry a couple of blades and a small thing of pepper spray in each pocket. My wallet is on a chain, [be sure it's a short chain or they will make you take it off!] and I put my keys on the chain clip. In a pinch, you can take out your wallet and commence to whoopin' some heads. There's no guarantee's in life, but stay in the crowd and park close as you can. Even if you have to pay more than $10 normal to get a good, well lit parking spot. Follow the sheep, keep head down and eyes open, and move quickly to the car. Have fun DcPohl52!!!!!!
  12. You know, I always figured Squidward was a muslim. He even looks like one of those shifty turban toters.
  13. Funny. I like to believe that if my dog could talk, he wouldn't sound like that. I would hope his voice would sound a bit more dignified and intelligent....but in truth, he's my buddy and he's dumber than a bag of hammers. My dog would talk exactly like that!
  14. Quality of the work is undeniable. I won't argue that, but it looks (to me) like the multicultural bull:poop: I see on bumper stickers "coexist" spelled out using different religious symbols. Don't get me wrong, the work is cool, I just gotta be the jerk that's a little too honest.
  15. Well shoot man, all you need is a Tavor and you're set up! Too bad we'll never have one.
  16. Go adopt you a good dog!!!!!!!!!!

    Rusting J-Frame

I guess it's possible, with the right mix of chemical/elements. I find it hard to believe (only women part) though. I'm a guy (last I checked) and the sweat from right hip has eat up the finish on two handguns and turned several Galco holsters a nasty crusty black, that looks almost burnt. In the summer I have to clean rust out of the snaps on my holster. It used to be a pain until I just accepted it as a part of life. I dunno what to tell you about the wife. I'd say replace the part with the offered Stainless part if it were me. Put the other in a ziplock baggie for posterity.
  18. Yeeah, it's a pump of some sort. I used to have a pump like that (never worked) Someone has retrofitted an electric motor to it, that was pretty common.
  19. I don't see t happening anytime soon. All the more reason to keep buying above your consumption rate. Stack it deep, and that's not SHTF paranoia talking, it's just wise investment strategy.
  20. Maybe I'm paranoid, but I just can't take the idea of pocket carry. I know lots of folks do, but I don't like a gun sitting loose, that close to my bits and pieces, it just don't set right y'all. Not to mention I have trouble getting my keys or cell phone out of my pocket sometimes, I don't want any trouble getting my gun out if I have to have it.
  21. I think it's my sanity that's been deleted not my posts.
  22. When I carry mine I use a Galco OWB holster. All I need is an XL Tshirt and I'm on the go. I'm sloppy dresser though. I certainly do NOT dress to match my age, demeanor or political and Religious views. If I tuck in my shirt it's an anniversary and I better be getting nice *cough**cough* gift when we get home.
  23. My iPod does that, but there's a thingy to click on that says "See Full Site" I click that and I can do anything I normally can. only smaller:)
  24. Snap! you beat me to it, I was fixin' to say that very thing.
