  1. Yeah, because this just tells the kids; If you're punished for breaking the rules and you cry "it's not fair" loud enough and get enough of your fellow facebook losers to cry with you, then you can have your way despite being in the wrong.
  2. Sounds like you need to have an accidental return fire.
  3. Worst virus I have ever seen for a PC.........Windows.
  4. I didn't really understand this either. Unless the hammer is made from cold rolled. AND even then, it shouldn't be hitting the BCG, just the radius of the firing pin. Even if the hammer is soft, it should only have a spherical indentation.
  5. I suppose I should have said no Ti I have ever worked with. That wouldn't have sounded so "knowitall" when I clearly don't:) Of course when you work with steels like CPM, T15, M2 and M42, most other materials seem rather soft. I've worked some CPM-10V parts that were around 70 rockwell after heat treat. You don't leave anymore grindstock than absolutely necessary on that stuff, it's a job to even surface grind it. Thank God for CBN wheels.
  6. I don't wanna be a member of this club:leaving:
  7. What's this? I got plans this weekend, the world will have to end later!
  8. Do you mean the TiN coated parts? Titanium nitride is super hard and great stuff even if it does look a little blingy. Doing tool & die for many years, I just don't understand the myth, smoke and mirrors of titanium itself. Titanium, for all it's lightweight glory and nearly impervious resistance to corrosion is really soft material. It's a bit gummy like non magnetic stainless. It's not something that be heat treated with any success. It'll never hold a candle to a good quality carbon steel, properly heat treated, drawn and stress relieved. Titanium has become one of those "Oooo and Ahhh" words to please the sheeple, kinda like CNC. People say, "Oooo that's CNC made!" Yeah well great! If it wasn't it would cost ten times as much unless it was made in a chinese sweat shop because someone would have to manually operate this machine to make it. The people that have the skills to do that, do not come cheap either. CNC is complicated to the programmer and setup guy, but once the program and setup have been proven, anyone can be a button monkey. Put the part in the vise against the stop, lock it down, shut the door and push the green button. Oooooooo! Once again though, TiN coating is totally different. If you don't mind the bright gold finish, it'll wear longer than anything it touches. There's a reason they coat endmills, carbide inserts and drill bits with it. It's tough stuff.

    S&W Model 59

I'm going to a concert Sat, so I will pick it up at my buddy's house sunday. First thing when I get it home will be a full tear down and detailed cleaning/inspection you can bet on it. Gotta slug the bore too while I got it down. You know I won't be putting many jacketed bullets down this one. I knew you'd be along to comment. I've been looking at a later model on the chain I suppose. It's all stainless. I'm not sure how I'd like the alloy frame. No prejudice against the material, just in this case, I think I'd like the stainless model better.

    S&W Model 59

First hand experience with this model and it's constituents? I just traded for a Marlin Camp 9 that uses the S&W model 59 magazine and I thought well shoot!!!! I need to look into getting a handgun to match the rifle, yeah? If the handgun is decent, it would make quite the nice little patrol package I think.
  11. Yeah, maybe, but some people can't balance.

    EXCAM PPS 50 VALUE

I just typed PPS 50. Gunbrokers search kinda sucks. If you're off by one letter or a space, sometimes you'll miss an entire market of stuff.
  13. You know, high strength security doors for your home is wise investment for many reasons. The kind not so easily knocked down without mechanical assistance. Just sayin'.

    EXCAM PPS 50 VALUE

Gunbroker has 8 or 10 of them averaging around $450. Try a search there and see what you see.
  15. You're not getting old [well, all of us are but] you're just immune to the most effective mental assault ever made. This form of mind and lifestyle control has the majority of 30 somethings and younger by the proverbial testes. Not much different from this blame interwebz.
  16. This is ridiculous but it's everyones' fault. The older we are, the more blame we carry. It's our fault for EVER letting it get this far. The only reason ANY government figure can crap on a person like that is because we have let them. Now, they are too powerful to resist on any small scale and the people of this country are too weak to do anything else. SO, the best thing to do is live to see another day, and follow orders like a good little citizen. When he said stop and kneel, that's what he should have done. Not because of what is right, but because of what is right NOW. A gun in his face with the backing of the rest of the department had the person done anything except comply. Guilty until proven to be of no appreciable revenue should be the new creed.
  17. Yeah, but I doubt it'll start another one. There are a select few that are excluded but for the most part; America, land of the ignorant and lazy, home of the coward that refuses to get their hands dirty.
  18. I don't want to be tactless and disgusting, but Well Done bullet company and a burnt beyond recognition employee????
  19. You're good to go then. Those are nice.
  20. Are you using Hornady's New Dimension Dies? I have a set in 9mm and I hate them. I just can't find anyone to trade me a set of Lee carbide dies for them. If you do tumble lubed cast bullets in 9mm, you do not want a Hornady seating die.
  21. You forgot a few, fixed it for ya.
  22. Technically I think those are AC556 aren't they? If so, some of the parts do not interchange with the mini14....oh wait, who cares right?
  23. A good thing to have with it is some small sticks of pitchwood. That stuff burns like gasoline. Look in Backwoodshome magazine and the like, there's folks selling it from time to time. I bought a bundle for $10 a while back. I've only played with a small piece of it, but it works great. I have some in a ziplok in my BOB.
