  1. YOW!!! Glad she's okay. I can relate. In my stupid youth firing a single shot shotgun I should NOT have been in possession of [leave it at that] the breech lever drove into my hand much like hers. Stitches and vicodin. What a tough place to heal too.
  2. Lee factory crimp die will solve 99.9% of your 9mm issues.
  3. Well it happens. After a certain amount it isn't speeding anymore, it's reckless endangerment. That [as I understand it] means he's a threat to public safety.
  4. I know everyone hopes he gets jail time, but be realistic. Money buys privilege. Everywhere on earth, but nowhere more so than here. He has money, he walks. I hear it all the time in cases like these and some people don't seem to get it. I hear "He's not above the law, he's no better than any one of us" Ummmm, yes he is. He has a lot of money. You know you don't have to like the truth to accept it. Justice will be served.......how much justice can he afford? Plenty. Money is power and money doesn't care if it's fair. All that's left is for little folks like me to be upset by the hypocrisy and either accept it and move on, swell up like an old woman and pout or do something stupid.
  5. Technically speaking, it's against my religion to listen to country music. BUT I backslid the other night. I took the wife to see Swifty at the Bridgestone arena. I t wasn't my cup of tea, but it's far from country music and my wife hasn't smiled that much in a looooong time. She really likes her. Taylor seems like a good kid. I filmed the entire thing, her set was very creative and she certainly entertains her fans. Dang she's a tall gal, I'll say that.
  6. I believe [could be wrong] Texas could prosper more as a separate country than it does as a member of the sates. If texas ever decides to leave the Union, it's goodbye TN for me.
  7. What's important here anyway? Me.
  8. Springfield Armory XD-9. You may like the XDm, but I think the XD is better. They're both plastic, but the XDm feels like plastic.
  9. Yeah, Warbird you are right. Admittedly I am I bigot as I despise the 1911, and I always look down my nose on the pricey things. I have a hard time keeping useless comments to myself sometimes. BUt hey, that's what interbebz forums is for.
  10. That was the day I vowed to never carry a Glock, What if it had shot both our asses off? J/K I know better, but it makes you think.
  11. For that kind of money I could buy 3 XD's and be 5 times better off. I will say I think it's pretty cool they're working here in TN. I wouldn't buy a Barrett product either, but they're still a point of pride for the state.
  12. Hey, Don't forget the dull thump of a kids head as they run into you. Had that happen at a Kmart once. A kid rounded an aisle full speed only to take my right hip head on. He never said a word just a muffled thump and he walked, not ran, walked away. Be mindful of where you are and what you are doing, even more so now than before.
  13. SO, this is what Joe does with retirement from sales?
  14. Huh, well there you go. The target model has a tighter match chamber I am assuming, and assuming you don't have the target model......light it up!
  15. A 5,56 chamber will have a longer throat than .223 will. I think pressures for .223 are in the 50,000 range while the 5,56 is upwards of 60,000. Don't quote me on that. Anyway, firing a 5,56 in a .223 chamber with the shorter throat could cause pressures to spike even further. Personally, I think commercial ammo is going to be loaded down enough and Ruger firearms are built well enough that you shouldn't have any issues, but I cannot in clear conscience tell you everything would be okay. Probably best to err on the side of caution and just leave it alone.
  16. Cool story, crappy ending. Shame too, those are the best kind of family heirlooms, the ones with the really fun stories attached.
  17. Mine either.
  18. Does it ever go away? 12 years and counting and I still give the shirt a tug at regular intervals. Only difference, you quit thinking about it. Till you brought it up, i hadn't thought about it in quite a while. If it becomes a problem, wear bigger t's. Or just do like I do and become a slipshod dresser. My fashion sense is bound only by what I can reach the easiest when I open closet door. The wife and will be married 9 years in August. We've decided to die together so what I care anymore. When fashion is no longer a restraint upon you, you can conceal anything. In all seriousness, stepping up your t shirt size is a concealed carry necessity.
  19. +2 for Williamson county. Several seen alive and dead on Williamson's West Bank.
  20. Love the skull, is that easily done? Easily as in "your line of work" I mean.
  21. Yeah Lumber's on to something. Just leave me alone if it's all the same to ya.
  22. Ha! Love that!
  23. Little adjustment there.
  24. Always wanted to try that with smokeless. BP does nice, but I wondered what the same weight of bullseye would do.
  25. Pour a cool design out on the ground, just before dark. Then when the sun goes down, drop a match. Get it on film, share with the rest of us. I used to pull bullets from Turkish 8mm. I had about 5lbs and laid out huge Star of David and I gotta say, it was cool. Especially when it starts lighting itself at the intersecting lines. Try it, I mean it's only fire. What could go wrong?
