  1. That's right. No sense taking chances with someone else's gun. If there's a bump in the night that needs investigating, better she goes, she knows her gun better than you.:bowrofl:
  2. Love mine. I carry it from time to time. Now, looking at yours, mine looks like doodoo. That is sweeeeeeet.
  3. Well it's not tied together. The subject in the OP was about one's own life. Abortion deals with someone else's life. As does "Killing off" grandma and grandpa. A person's life is theirs to do with as they please. You cannot make that call for others, but you should have every right to make that decision for yourselves. ANd if grandma or grandpa should want to make that decision for themselves who is anyone to be so selfish as to tell them they are not free to do so. Sounds more like "Freedom and Liberty as long as you're exactly like us." <----- that attitude is why I say God is great, religion is crap and forgive me Lord but half your followers are nuts. Honestly the people that cry "Wrong" on this [and you have every right to think so!] sound to me like "Well it's always been that way, that makes it right." Maybe I'm wrong, but I'm at peace with the way I feel so I really don't much care. Edit: I meant "Organized Religion" BTW
  4. Pistol XD9 Rifle CZ 527 .223 varmint model Neither are what I would consider to be my absolute favorites but the xd9 has never failed in the 6 or 7 years we've had it. The CZ 527 is hands down the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. errr Atleast, It's the rifle I have been most accurate with. Comparing it to my normal level of accuracy, this rifle kinda inflates my ego a bit.
  5. Well, I wasn't being technically specific, I've always heard that term used interchangeably for dropping the firing pin. As far the other, I was merely relating what happened to me. Mine was fine when I got it. It wasn't for long. But what do I know?
  6. I'll tell you, someone likely stored the rifle "hammer down". Taking the pressure off the firing pin by pulling the trigger, puts pressure on the flat spring and the flat spring will take a set. I know this because that's how I stored mine....that's how come I had to replace my spring. That's why I don't do that anymore. If you're careful you may be able to bend the flat sppring slightly and put tension back on it. Worst case, you break it and and still have to buy a new one.
  7. This^ You cannot stop people from ending their own life if they really want it to be over, provided they have the resolve to do so. Well unless you strap them down and feed them through a tube. [AND that's absolutely sadistic] Better a family know it was a peaceful passing with loads of morphine than a closed casket funeral and something someone had to clean up after.
  8. I think I can understand where you are coming from. If I can't, I'm trying, but would you consider keeping a person alive, who doesn't want to continue, and is in excruciating pain "Do no harm?" We don't know what's on the other side for fact and for certain. We only have our faith or lack thereof. BUT, from what we can ascertain, pain from cancer, disease, ect. ends at death. Seems like a merciful fate does less harm than prolonged suffering. I've never claimed to be a smart man though.
  9. No, you misunderstand me sir. I certainly wasn't "Calling you out" It was just a question, and as is the difficulty in forum discussions, what I wanted to say/ask rides a fine line between an honest question and a venom filled hateful comment. I wasn't wound up, I was very calm. Actually I was raised to believe suicide = damnation. I don't agree 100% but that's another can of worms.
  10. Please understand I'm NOT poo slingin' here, this isn't a personal attack, I'm being sincere here. Who are you to tell me and my friend or paid associate what we can and cannot do when the end result does not effect you or anyone else. To tell me I cannot have a friend or paid associate carry out the wishes of my sound mind would no different than bringing me into a full bore communist regime, telling me how to live and how to think. The only difference is a communist would see the benefits of allowing the infirm [i.e. non productive] to pass on and no longer be a burden.
  11. Well that's easy to answer. The dead can't pay taxes and Socialism Security. Brand that law with a moral code stamp so the church will accept it and there you go. I believe in God as much as anyone, but who am I to tell you you can't make an exit. Stupid. I mean think about it, if everyone who wishes they were dead jut fell over right now, that's a lot of mouths to feed that don't need feeding. Troubled people should have the option of getting help, but if you're just tired of being here, get going. there was an episode of Star Trek next generation where this planet of people, once a certain age would take their own life. I think the age was like 65 or 70. In a way I thought it some appeal because you went out while still of sound mind and body. No one had memories of their ailing family wasting away as a vegetable. I'd heap rather be dead as so infirm as to not be able to wipe my own. In fact the older I get the more I think about my great grandmother. I heard her say one time, "I'm tired and I've seen enough. I love ya'll but when my number gets called I'll run you over if your in my way." That didn't make sense 20 years ago. It's slowly starting to.
  12. If I took any meds I'd like have that guy filling the scrip. Good for him.
  13. Well praise the Lord that's worth something.
  14. Great points from everyone. Great discussion, but this discussion travels a road with an abrupt end. That end is "What will be done?" NO, not what could be done, What WILL be done. The answer......NOTHING. That's right. Nothing will change [for the better] because the type of men capable and willing to remedy this issue are long extinct. I'm sure there's plenty of patriots who'd love to do something but it's a cult of lemmings, none willing to lead; all waiting to follow. There's nothing or no one to rally to, no cohesion among strict believers of the Constitution, and therefore nothing will be done. Nothing of any measurable value. Just guys like me forever complaining about it. Men in this country have not the stomach for a real solution. Remember, this country was founded on a technical charge of treason. Justified or not, that's what it was. I'd love to be wrong, but all that will ever be done in this country by anyone is to continually pour oil into a motor with a rod knocking.
  15. Well, "THE PEOPLE" have decided. Socialism it is. If it wasn't true then there'd be enough people willing to do something about it. As it is, there is not.
  16. That's not just 'a lot of Jack' That's "Hey, I can't stand up...where did my feet go, hey who stole my feet!!?"
  17. Well I understand that. If you don't like, you just don't like.
  18. HONESTLY How many people can say; When I was in elementary school, I used play drums for Led Zepplin till 3 or 4 in the morning on a school night because my old man was too tired or wasted to practice. Jason can say that! I've ssen video of him on a miniature ludwig set jamming with page and plant. He couldn't have been more than 10 or 12 years old. What a memory to have!
  19. So what went wrong? You haven't had it very long to be putting it up on the chop block.
