  1. I can even post other photobucket pics. Must be something on ya'lls end???
  2. From my photobucket album. Works good for me.
  3. Okay, I'll do it, I'll be the stick in the mud. I don't like it. It bares resemblance to the AR only slightly. The gas system below and the bolt looks like they used generic auto shotgun design and stuffed it in a dress made to look like an AR. If it really is reliable, I'd be happy to eat crow, but I'm betting it has issues in the long run, not to mention replacement parts availability. I will say it would draw the game wardens attention during turkey and dove season!!!
  4. Where's Magiccarpetrides? He ought to know these things.
  5. This is the most inspirational thread ever. Being an avid boolit caster, I like to make my own boolit lube. I melt and mix it and then cast it in a homemade mold that lets me put it in my lubrisizer. I now realize what I must do. I must add pig fat to my boolit lube recipe so that every round I fire has it included in the "delivery package". How did I never think of it before?!?!?!?!

Thank you Jon. Nothing life threatening, but it's a lot on me at the moment. Nothing I care to talk about, but for those of you who speak to God on occasion, I'd appreciate it if you remember me and the family.

Hey guys thank you so much for the input but in light of recent invents [personal] I will be sticking with what I have, know how to use and more importantly, already have paid for:) Maybe when things get better I'll come back to this.
  8. Yep, think I am Legend. They weren't zombies per se, a virus induced psychotic episode [permanent]. I think that a virus that could cause body temps to temporarily rise high enough to severely damage the brain, but then level off enough to allow continued body function??? The rabies idea is plausible, or a virus that SPECIFICALLY targets the brain; Destroying all rational cognitive functions but continuing to run on sheer primal instinct to survive. Basically undoing modern man and reverting him to cave man.
  9. Oh God, we should all heed this warning lest we relive the history of "Happy Fun Ball"
  10. I sure hate to get shocked by one though.

    Ruger 77/357

Mehh Ruger is always covering their butt with disclaimers. You know as well as I it will work just fine. I do have to say, with the rather obvious exception of cost, you've got nothing to gain by plinking with 38's here. In a pistol, obviously, recoil and noise are a factor, but in this platform both will be nonexistent. As a handloader, I can't see any reason to use 38's in the thing.....but I would without hesitation. On the same note as above [Ruger covering their butt] Ruger also purposely builds actions above and beyond the needed strength for any given cartridge. This isn't a free pass to foolish reloading practices, but I think one would have to purposely set out to destroy a M77 chambered in .357 mag and even then I wonder if it could be done.
  13. Someone read one too many Infinity Gauntlet Comic books. Sounds like some tech nerd trying to make himself into Thanos.

I don't have one yet, that's why I am fishing. My biggest problem is my current investment in 308. It's fairly substantial [for me]. AND after the post I just read about Ruger making a Model 77 in .357.......dang it, why wasn't I born rich instead of so good looking?

    Ruger 77/357

Okay, ya'll gotta stop showing stuff like this! I'm trying to reduce, consolidate and refine. I don't need this rifle. But I think it would complement my SP101 nicely.
  16. I don't know why cops do this. There's a guy here in town who was arrested after a cop told him to leave. The cop had his son {A minor at the time} pulled over and was searching the vehicle. The dad just happened by at the time and whipped in the parking lot. The cop told him to leave to which he replied NO, that's my son, he's a minor and I am responsible for him. He got arrested for obstruction. He got out of it, but it cost him a days work and court costs. I'm not a cop hater but that cop should have been reprimanded. As it is, he wasn't. Our force is 50/50 here in the 'view. 50% good folks, 50% douche bags.
  17. Well, pat your kids on the head and yourself on the back (absolutely NO sarcasm) because you are alright then Daniel. You're doing something most do not....care. If anyone needs proof of how far people go to exploit children and turn them into adults, effectively cheating them of being a real kid...Watch TLC's Toddlers in Tiaras. Filth.
  18. Hmph. Can't even get much more than scattered showers here. It's rained more today than in quite some time. The garden sure us thankful. Sorry about the power. If the walkers become a problem, don't hog the fun. Do get a message out.

Okay. I been reading on this one for quite some time. Now I'm seriously considering this caliber. Here's what I'm thinking. I'm wondering if this cartridge would replace my bolt action 308? Before you jump in to tell me how it's nowhere near as powerful, consider this; I've (purposefully) whittled 85% of my toolkit down to ARs. I'm happy for it too. My absolute max distance, unless forced to relocate due SHTF, would be under 400 yards. I'm not a hunter but I do go after the occasional whitetail. I reload. And lastly, if this carriage would fill in for the 308, I could get rid of another non AR rifle that despite being a WONDERFUL rifle, I don't care to shoot much. Thoughts of any (relevant) kind are welcome.
  21. As to the OP, the longer I think on it, the more I agree with Jasongar8; Who am I to say either way.
  22. I was more so referring to the fact that children aren't little kids anymore. It doesn't take a great amount of discernment to see the major appearance shift in the last few years. From birth until past puberty has always been an awkward time, but now with everything from cosmetics, cosmetic alterations to estrogen/testosterone enriched consumables, those children do not look like children anymore. Not to mention the filth of Hollywood fanning the flames of what is perceived to be, by those children, the way they are supposed to be. The character in she played in the movie doesn't a bit more look 13 than the man in the moon. Same with half the shows on TV with young actors and actresses. Children aren't children anymore. ...and we wonder why so many are screwed up today. Makes me glad I decided my bloodline ends here by not reproducing. I'm doing the world a favor in more ways than one. As to your point "2." You sir, are a tougher man than I have the capacity to be. I'm not sure there would be enough hail Mary's in the Vatican to receive forgiveness to what I would [in clear conscience] do to a man like that if given the opportunity. Thanks for ruining a nights sleep tonight with that thought.
  23. HA!!! Wyatt banks at the same bank I do. Carry open or concealed is ALWAYS welcome!
  24. Strange, little more than a century ago this would have been no concern to anyone. Not the least bit unordinary.
  25. Don't laugh too loud. Tn-popo, please understand, I ain't attacking you personally, but it's girls like little Chloe Grace there in your avatar that brings out the perv in "Dirty old men". I'm for dang sure not taking up for it, it's wrong, but I don't think it's 100% their fault either. I little lady ought to dress like a little lady, not a whore. Whores attract whoremongers.
