  1. Ain't promags made from recycled Pringles lids? At 95¢ you can't go wrong, if they don't fit a saiga break out the grinder. Eff it up, toss it. What's a dollar?
  2. Freedom Arms
  3. Ohh snap.
  4. They used to make the finest money can buy.   It would be a VERY tough endeavor to get back there again.  Older Colt pistols locked up like a bank vault because there were men and women who apprenticed under masters for YEARS to become qualified to do the hand fitting required for such quality.  Fat chance finding it now.  I was a machinist for over a decade and NO machine will ever produce those old Colt pistols.  No multi axis machine can do what the human hand can.  They can do things the human hand cannot but fit and finish requires a man's hands.     It would be NICE to see it again but don't wager on it.
  5. I understand the sentiment, but from a business standpoint, Barrett would be better off tossing his money from a bridge and watching people run around to pick it up.  He has NO issues moving his current product.  It would be a simple matter to expand into other manufacturing.  Handguns or whatever.   Taking on the dead weight that is 'Colt' would be financial suicide.
  6. Jeez, I didn't realize this stuff had gotten so high.   Thanks guys.  I think I'll make some TGO'er a decent deal on it.
  7. It's politics man, I don't believe they breath air till I see them inhale/exhale.
  8. Well, for us, Nashville motor speedways. Lol! I meant 30 men or so to clean it out of walkers and secure it. It could easily sustain a thousand with daily scouts returning with outside goods scavenged.
  9. Okay, so how many scenarios have we seen that were abysmal failures? Ricks prison sucked. Prisons are for keeping you IN, not keeping people out. So I was thinking during "Fear the walking dead" tonight....what about a nascar track? Obviously, a small group couldn't do it, but let's say you have 20-30 good strong men (plus their women and children for meneal labor) I wonder how difficult it would be to secure the track against walkers? Look at the size of that thing?!!?! You could farm high yield crops and have a decent amount of goats and chickens. There's a decent fence in place. Flat, easily watched over from tower positions. There are facilities out the wazoo that could be modified to work off grid. Plenty of underground shelter in that tunnel leading to the infield. It wouldn't take too much creativity to turn the bleachers into living and work areas. Yeah, it's more of a large scale thinking, as opposed to our usual small pack or lone wolf mentality, but its a real thought, were one equipped with sufficient manpower.
  10. Anyone still think living in a large metropolis is a good idea? Small towns like mine are bad enough. No friggin way I could deal with the bs of tonight's episode. The day I get told I can't leave my house is the day I get shot.
  11. Hard to argue with any of that.
  12. Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know. We all wanna vomit when we see the same old inane BS. "what's my ??? worth" threads. But.....I have traded into a mess of stuff and one thing in the mess was some 7,62x54R Albanian 147g steel core brass case corrosive ammo. I have managed to FINALLY get my bore copper free. No small feat, lemme tell ya! I won't be launching copper condoms for this rifle again. SO, this stuff only has value for more trading. Can't find squat for sale. Must be dried up and gone. I can remember it going for a dime each or cheaper. What's it bringing now?
  13. What engine? That's a great idea!
  14. Am I allowed to be offended by the derogatory use of the word redneck? I'm not a member of a minority (yet) so Im guessing the answer is no.
  15. Seriously, and good long walk before getting in the boat, maybe even a 30 minute run on the tread mill and a belly full of treats afterward. Your buddy will be napping next to you in the sun.
  16. 12' of space with a jack Russel? One word: valium.

  18. Use them both at the same time and see how much difference you get.
  19. One thing, depending on the rifle, you may notice group shifts. My CZ 527 (223) shoots like a housefire making cloverleaf groups with boring regularity.......but it does NOT like the bayonet sensor. Groups almost double. It's the only gun I have that does that, but it's something to consider. For that rifle I just group and measure velocity separately.
  20. When my wife's garndmother passed away, I got two of those green ones from her house. They stay parked at the corners of the carport and collect rain water. I have submersible pump that I use to empty them into other barrels or pump straight into the garden. I'd wash them out and collect rain water. Never for drinking but would be great for wash water too.
  21. I have the same one. I LOVE IT. Get you a little notepad to keep in there. I number the hard spacers and letter the soft ones. I write down the combination for each gun. Alleviates fartin' around with it at the range. Mine has been awesome.
  22. I don't know you Ronnie Toler but thank you, I appreciate your service to our country. Rest in peace sir.
  23. Looking at 9mm cans now that my 5,56 can is home. I see many of the different models interfere with the sights. How are you guys dealing with it? I currently have trijicon night sights on the pistol I plan to suppress. Sure hate to have to buy sights on top of another barrel. I know there are models that are offset. I'm considering those too. Just curious what you guys are doing.
  24. No ejector, but, if you'll look closely at the barrel, there is a squared out section machined away making removal very easy. It DOES mean this pistol has what one might consider and unsupported chamber but given the lower pressure of my loads and the very low volume that will be shot through it, it'll be a non issue.
  25. Aww, cut him a little slack on that one. That homerun was set up better than Mark McGwire playing Tball.
