    .300 BLK?

I'd like to deal with Delta Company, but they seem to be backed up something fierce.

    .300 BLK?

What direction are you headed with it if I may be so nosy? I'd like to do a 16" free floated, no gimmicks or tacticool trifles. What weight bullet do you anticipate using? I'd like to use a thin skinned varmint bullet like a Vmax and just for fun, try the 168g Amax I use in my .308. I've read people claiming it's just a 7,62x39 but I beg to differ. Better bullet selection. Quality brass made from .223 and no feed issues from a Pmag, which by the way looks good, unlike the goofy curved turds out there for 7,62x39.

    .300 BLK?

.300 AAC Blackout. Basically just a .300 whisper with longer throat and touch looser neck. Anyone here have one? In my wishywashy, can't make up my mind like a stupid woman, quest to build another AR, I'm now looking long and hard at this one. It'll certainly never have the popularity of the Grendel or 6,8SPC but it it's easily formed from .223 brass, so I'm okay with that. Load data is a touch scarce but I have read this thing is pretty awesome in the ranges I shoot at and it is especially adept at subsonic/suppressed. If anyone has one, do tell about it.
  4. uummmmm. No. I ain't stickin' my hand where I can't see. Just pray you don't find a snapping turtle.
  5. Yeah...you're in trouble.
  6. No A lister would do it. To support the war or even our troops for that matter is a death sentence in Sodom & Gomorrah Hollywood.
  7. Just the opposite. Start a fire, get warm; Works outdoors too!!! What do you start outside to get cool?
  8. Makes me wonder when the last time you dropped off a blood sample to the clinic for testing. J/K.....kind of.
  9. Well, it's not far from home for her. Take a trip home to the Ukraine to visit her birthplace, then on the craphole-astan to visit troops. Yep, good for her. It probably won't cost her a dime as some publication will pick up the tab for her travel and attire in exchange for an exclusive. Meanwhile, she gains a few good men on her thumbs up list...and I mean come on, when is having some US Marines as friends EVER a bad thing?

    What Would You Do

...but if you're not careful you'll lose his attention due to the labor intensity.
  11. My treadmill is outside under the carport. [no place for it inside] I like to do between 4-5 miles, what ever my knees can take. I just can't do it here lately. I like to run with no fans, the more I sweat the better, but jeez! I can't stop doing it either. If I stop My knees start locking up and I can't hardly get going in the AM. I have to settle for 20-30 minutes twice a day. I should have been a butcher so I could work in a meat locker all day. My wife's family here is the exact opposite of me, they hate the cold. I tell them, I can ALWAYS get warm. Put on another layer, put on a heavy coat, heck set something on fire! but you cannot get cooled off very easy. You know, you can't take off but so much!
  12. My job requires me to be outside. I don't have to be in it all day, but most of it anyway. Jeez, has the summers really been this hot in the past and youth on my side, I didn't take notice? I've been working outside for 7 years now, I don't recall it ever being so hot. I've been praying for snow, but the man ain't sending any for a while. This heat sucks. I'm ready to move on top of some snow capped mountain.
  13. Not only the fork but notice the guns are both turned in such a way that they would very difficult to snatch up quickly. Jeez people, think about this sort of stuff! I mean if you had to grab up the AR quickly, you'd likely knock over your Coke/Captain Morgan into your steak and there's a good chance you'd break the Pink Floyd glass...good luck finding a replacement not to mention the meat would be ruined and then I'd really PO'd!!!
  14. Well, that's cause there's like 9 people living in Iowa, and they all grow corn.

    What Would You Do

Dang, all this talk almost makes me wanna have a kid. ...I said almost.
  16. I have a "havaheart" trap and I catch them and take them to an undisclosed location. Generally I am staunchly opposed to dumping animals, but a feral cat is born with skills. They can survive given a decent environment. I know of an old abandoned house. I've released dozens there.
  17. Any builders in the MidTen area have a staking tool for AR-15 gas keys? I did some trading for some parts and got a brand new in the wrap Colt M16 bolt carrier. I did not know until I got home it had no gas key. No big deal, but I want to do it right and not just slap it in a vise and hit it with a center punch. Let me know please. Thanks

    What Would You Do

The last edition of Handloader magazine has a great article on the .260
  19. Well, I want to say thanks, this has been a fun discussion, but my potential brass source turned out to be a bust. Everything was contingent on a very cheap brass source and without it well....I won't say I'm scrapping the idea, but it's certainly back burner. Besides I have been wanting to build a .300 AAC Blackout anyway.

    What Would You Do

That .260 is tempting to work with. You could do a rebarrel to lots of different options. 6.5 Creedmoor is a hot ticket right now. You could easily set the threads back on the .260 barrel and rechamber it to the Creedmoor. I've never shot one, but the numbers are VERY impressive. If you want you could also do the same and go to a Grendel. 6.5's are VERY VERY impressive. They are just inherently tight group shooters. Go back a century and look at the 6.5 Swede. I'd bet anyone a dollar that the most accurate military bolt action in stock configuration would most likely be a 6.5 Swede. All that aside.....What's wrong with the .260? That's a very good cartridge in and of itself???? You know if the .260 hurts his shoulder....a high quality brake would likely stop that.
  21. I had a .44 about 12 years ago. Never jammed, but you couldn't hit squat with it. Heavy, clumsy, it's a toy and nothing more. Always wanted to try a .357 mag to see if the grip was any better, but honestly, a good comfortable 9x19 is twice the weapon...unless of course like I said, you want a toy.

    Cut Shells

Looks pretty stupid to me. He could have cast say a dozen slugs for cheap and reloaded that STS hull as many times and been better off.
  23. Well, it ain't just the lazy low life criminal, it's the slobbering idiot kids, their slobbering idiot parents, and the fact that I lose my appetite when I see how nasty it is in there. I actually saw graffiti on a taco bell bathroom I thought was fitting....it said please don't throw cigarette butts in the floor, the cockroaches are getting cancer.
  24. Awesome! That'll be an adventure to say the least. If you get a break...they got some killer good cigars in Honduras! Be safe, be well, be blessed.
