  1. I've thought about that before. The only thing I can think of to say would be something to the effect of, "Would you rather me be an untrained fool walking about with a loaded weapon? Proper training equals a larger margin of safety does it not?" That probably won't work though being as that statement is laced with common sense. We all know there is a zero tolerance policy for common sense in the judicial system.
  2. He does some dang purty work for fact and for certain.
  3. Yeah, I'm seriously tempted by the pocket model, but for $85....I sure would like to borrow one!
  4. I thought about this question myself as I get ready to build a suppressor on a form 1. I don't see the benefit for me.
  5. Sounds awesome. I think you're going to beat me to the .300BLK game. Must post pic when done. No excuses.

    Ruger P9

Why did Ruger quit making this great little rifle? I was looking at my Marlin camp 9 the other day I remembered the Ruger. Then I wondered if they still made it, but alas it is not on their website. With riddance of Bill and his Deals with the devil I'd like to the see the rifle come back. I bet they'd sell. With very few competitors, they'd do well. There's one on gunbroker now for "buy it now" $625! *gasp*

    .300 BLK?

*sigh* Mine, most likely, won't be so cool. BUT, I'm doing what I can on my budget. The more I read, the more excited I get about this caliber.

    .300 BLK?

So, Alleycat72, Do you make your own brass for the BLK? If so, what length do you trim to? I'll have my die this week, and I am going to modify a .308 Lee trim gauge pin to the length of the BLK and use a .223 lockstud to do my trimming. I just need to know what length would be good. 1.368 is the number I am finding but with no actual reloading data in my hands, I should very much like to verify with someone who actually does it.
  10. Dang Mike, you're right in there behind him! Less than a grand to go.
  11. Custom Built - The non cookie cutter rifle, that is slightly different than any other and most importantly, causes you to look at it with pride. A custom need not cost thousands, only what it takes to "make it yours".
  12. 7 pages long..... So, I have a Serpa Holster for an XD 9 for sale. Who's interested. No seriously.
  13. A term I hear soldiers use to refer to muslims.

    .300 BLK?

Form 1 to be filed as soon as I have the rifle built. Still working out my design.

    .300 BLK?

Nope. Somehow, I feel confident that I'll like it.
  16. Not bad. Well it was for him. Check out this poor stupid muzzy.
  17. Haaa! That was what I was thinking about ^^ when I posted.
  18. Yup! And they should shove an open pack of pepperoni down his shorts before they release the canine officer.
  19. Don't insult Larry, not that much any way. Surely he's not that big a loser. HCP badge carriers should have their permit revoked on the grounds that goober shouldn't be armed.

    .300 BLK?

Well, I'm officially onboard. I ordered a Forster full length sizing die so I can get started forming brass.
  21. I think maybe use the Ready Room also? A little more tolerance may be afforded in a place the general public [non members] cannot read. I had a few comments I really wanted to make on the thread that was ultimately closed, but they wouldn't have done anyone any good. They would have just served as bait to start an argument. I like to think most here would agree on my overall stand, but I may be a little more extreme than others and the last thing I would want would be to make a comment that would polarize any members.
  22. I'll second the Red Label.
  23. HA!!!!
  24. I've had a tote sack full of Iver Johnsons, Harrington & Richardsons, ECT. Cool little top break revolvers. All junk. I've tried restoring them many times. I've made parts for them, tracked down parts for them.....all I can tell you is, I hope you fare better than me. I've always gotten the shaft, I've yet to be able to get one to work while attempting a restoration
  25. Maybe, but go to a Bill Goodman's show and see the people who take it as gospel.
