  1. Hey! Me too! I wear the same thing no matter what time of year, denim knee length shorts and an XL concert T shirt. That's about as concealed as I care about.
  2. I'm sorry:shrug: Really, I am, but I despise them.
  3. Well, I don't own any Glocks, I'm an XD guy. Obviously I would trade and immediately sell, pocketing a good profit. If the rules and conditions were that I had to KEEP the 1911 that I traded for, I wouldn't trade one XD for every 1911 turd Wilson and the rest of them have ever made. I don't care what other opinions say about their spectacular quality, I still hate every one ever made.
  4. Good luck little buddy:) Mentioned that for my area, I got a lot of ...... *Fizzle* Yep, there it went; Like a fart in the wind.
  5. Ohh, I done promised the wife, in the aftermath we're heading to Belle Meade. I'm going to take a bath in one of those multi million dollar mansions, then I'm gonna crap in one of those thousand dollar toilets and not flush! Course, there'll be no running water so I really can't, but hey. ....maybe I'm sharing too much here:)
  6. Dang right! No DSA for me either, not that I would have anyway, but as you say, there's so many AR companies, why bother with one that jerks TGO'ers around?
  7. Wait, there's a line? Doh!
  8. Awesome! Not to go of topic, but this just reinforces an old saying I learned in the 13 yrs I was a machinist. The Machinists Second Amendment Creed: I will give up my right to know how to construct a hollow tube, enclosed on one end, capable of lauching projectiles at high velocities, when you pry the knowledge from my cold dead brain. Skills like yours are valuable now, and may be infinitely more so in the future. Keep thinking outside the box friend!
  9. No, you have to know your area well, you have to be prepared, and you have to dig in....well unless you're forced to move because of some disastrous calamity. It's going to be a waiting game right off the bat. One needs to be able to stay put and well hidden and well protected for a minimum of a month. Preferably several. Let the peons thin themselves out. The morons will render themselves extinct saving you time, supplies, stress and ammunition. Think chess, Pawns always move and die first.
  10. Dig deeper to the root of it all. ANY system that TAKES from one to give to another is pure communist filth. Because the system is mandatory whether you care to participate or not, It's theft. Absolute, unadulterated theft, on an order of magnitude.
  11. The fact is that SS pays out more than was paid in. A system that uses more than it generates won't work. Let it burn.
  12. Now's the time to get one before they move over seas completely....if you want to say it was assembled in the USA anyway. Not to derail, but anyone know where they plan to move to? I vote they move to Vietnam and change the name to Charley-Davidson.
  13. ...which is exceedingly uncommon for me, and I walk through the sporting goods area when what do I spy? In the turn table case I see a Rossi revolving shotgun! The new Rossi that's basically a stocked, long barrel Taurus judge...Yep. $495. Pricey, but the fact that I saw it there was pretty cool to me. Not what I expect to see in a Walmart gun display. Just thought I'd share that. I wouldn't pay that, I wouldn't even want one, but they are definitely different and I think it's cool to see one there. ...oh it was Cool Springs btw.
  14. I hear you, and I hate it. A big reason I don't frequent shows. Can't say it'll never happen at a TN show, because it HAS! I don't know of any fatalities, but there's been a few negligent discharges. I find it amazing how upset people get when you are standing next to someone and you say to them "Would you mind not pointing that at me." They really get insulted. I used to go to shows and really worry about saying something to someone...not anymore. If you point a gun at me at show, i'll say something to you in a heartbeat. Had one old boy get pretty steamed, "You can't have a loaded gun in here you know" Was his response. To which I replied "Oh and stupid people don't go to gun shows and do stupid things?" I was thirty minutes late to a show out in Smyrna once. had I arrived when some friends of mine did I would have got to see a guy shoot a chunk out of the floor with a 357 sig. The only way to fix this kind of thing is to point it out EVERY time you see it. Although I will admit I am a little more mindful when at the range where people do have loaded guns. You never know a man's temper/intentions.
  15. Right, it just spawns bad habits. If you treat everything the same way, you'll do the same thing every time. Example: I had a cop come into the shop and he chuckled as he asked me why my index finger was pointing straight along the body of the impact wrench while I was carrying it. I just smiled, he smiled back and said "That's good" Is that dumb, yeah sure, but repeatable good habits are just that, GOOD habits. For the record, I've never had a negligent discharge from an Ingersol Rand THis is the exact reason I hate toy guns. If I had kids, they would NOT be allowed. Cry "they're just kids" all you like, but it's a bad idea.
  16. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I know for a fact I get on people's nerves with my definition of Muzzle Discipline. I know I stole that phrase from something military, but I have made it my own. I've really made my father in law mad about it. I DON'T CARE if it's a plastic toy that has been sawed in half, DO NOT CROSS FLESH WITH A FRIGGIN" GUN!!!!! That means no twirling, waving and playing around. People are so stupid. I feel bad for her daughter, and I hope the woman feels really bad for doing it. It would do her good to have a few nightmares about it. Lord help us, what's wrong with people?!!? Playing with a gun around your child, I don't care what you thought it was lady! That's what you get for thinking.
  17. HA! That's funny. Probably a massage parlor out back.
  18. You fixed the interwebz!
  19. Wow, I thought everybody forgot about this. All us "Defenders of the View" ought to get together one sunday morning and burn some powder.
  20. The most arrogant bunch of folks you'll ever find. Some of the best folks you'll ever find are loosely seeded among them. I don't know what makes a man feel the need to establish the length of his fifth appendage by belittling people. It's kinda nice there's not very much of that going on around here.
  21. Welcome.
  22. Yeah, stick with Burris and get the PEPR mount.
  23. DUDE! That was beautiful! Best first morning video in a while. Video was fuzzy, but are you sure that wasn't Michelle Yeoh! J/K Somebody buy that girl a gun for protection before she kills somebody with them hands and feet!
  24. Urse, Technically that first pistol in the fourth row would be a flint-glock,
  25. Gangs have been known to smear feces into hollow point cavities during shootings with rival gangs. Obviously a disgusting attempt to cause a major septic reaction to any non life threatening hits. I don't think a poison HP is a very viable weapon, but when animosity runs so high, reasoning begins to fail.
