  1. I have a Blackhawk he completely rebuilt. It's a precious thing to me now. His work is top notch, can't take that away from him.
  2. You are right about the masses being shark chum, but the reason I posted this IS for family. My E-family, TGO brethren.
  3. ....and you have to stay on him, cause he sure likes to take his time.
  4. I'd like to share a little revelation I've had. Out in Coolsprings doing some errands, the wife goes in Walmart. It's about 8:30pm & I hate the dump, so I sit in the car under the a/c munching on some leftover waffle fries from Chik-fila. I'm watching the wife go into the store, and all I see are feet...all wearing flip flops. So I grab a scrap of paper and a pen start counting. In the time it took her to go get a gallon of milk and some hamburger meat I counted 128 people coming and going at the grocery side entrance. Of that 128 sheep, I counted 74 people wearing flip flops or some other useless excuse for foot wear, 9 were in motorized wheelchair-shopping carts and two had no shoes at all! It's not the lack of preparations that's going to get the masses killed, it's sheer stupidity in not wearing sensible shoes in a potentially hostile environment. Jeez people, first off a grown man, IMO, shouldn't be wearing shower shoes to walmart, ESPECIALLY WEARING WHITE SOCKS! You can't run like a madman wearing flip flops! I tell all this without a care honestly, because much like my second sig line states, I don't have to run faster than the zombies, I just have to run faster than the mob of goofy people wearing stupid shoes. Nugget of wisdom TGO'ers : Strong supportive shoes and decent cardio can and will be just as valuable as your cary weapon. Be safe, be well, be every vigilant for we know not the hour the virus will fall.

    Disappointmints.

Well, that's better than Bob & Tom's Excre-Mints. They used to a skit about that on their radio show.
  6. I saw Metallica at the Sommet center for Death Magnetic, It was AWESOME, but I have to say, you're right, they have no drive. They're there to perform and that's it. In my opinion, they haven't had a real drive since Justice. Justice had a real fire in it that no other album has ever had. They've lost thier will to make really good music.
  7. That's good to know. And it's cheap on their part too. I mean, what's a case worth to them in the long run, against a lawsuit or even badmouthing. CCI's the only 22's I shoot for the most part, and the way they handled your case only reenforces that. I had some bad Remington Gold bullets one time. Out of one brick I had a big pile of duds, they never did a thing. Never answered one single email and gave the telephone runaround. Jerks.
  8. Hmm, what, do they ride up less or more stain resistant?
  9. Heil Washington!
  10. I wish Uslesstons all the luck in the world, but how the sap has stayed in business is a mystery to me. He must get a lot of business from all the 50 cent millionaire wannabes in Brentwood.
  11. Who shops at target and why? It's just a Yuppy walmart that doesn't sell beer or ammo.
  12. I think Dave is the more accomplished musician, but I agree his singing can be abrasive at times. As far as Dave's ego, I think with a little research you'll find that he's done a number on himself in the last few years. He's not the same guy. He's really grown up a notch. I'm proud of him. *bear with me here, I do have point for this tangent* It's a fact that humans as a whole don't want to hear anything about GOD being superior, or being at all. People despise Judeo-Christian prophecy because one, it's coming to pass, and two, it makes them realize the life they've lived ain't going to cut it. People want to be free to do as they please and they get angry when they are told they have to answer for everything they've done in life. I think some of the reason for Megadeth's limited success is because of how many songs Dave has written and used as a presentation of those truths. Some people would jump up and down to disagree with me, but they've obviously NOT paid attention to what they've been listening to. Dave is a believer and I can identify with him easily for many of his points of view. He has for years pointed out the direction man is heading. The earth will be scorched with fire...."eradication of, a population lost, ...Polaris" He has been prophet of sorts since way before he cleaned up his life, but as of late, his music is saturated with it. I for one LOVE IT. Kick the chair? That's undeniable...Our system HAS failed. I especially like and identify with how he can affirm God and deny the bulk of organized religion. On a sad note for me, I absolutely DESPISE slayer. It may be wrong, but I have nothing but bad wishes for them. Tony Araya is a scum bag and lacks any real talent at all. If the only thing he can sing about is how much he hates Jesus Christ, the man is more pathetic than anyone I know. With all the opportunities life has afforded him looks like he could just shut up. You don't have to believe to be respectful. He's trash and he'll die trash. I pity him...ANYWAY, I can relate to him a bit, we both have very bad backs. His bad spine cost me my chance to see Megadeth. I had gooooood tickets too! He canceled the show...and here's what I don't understand, IN MUSIC CITY USA??? You mean to tell me in Nashville he couldn't find a replacement? How many bass players are there in Nashville that would love a one night pay day???? I bet he could have gotten it done for free!! Anyway, piss on the man, he's scum. AND, now Megadeth is not coming back to nashville anytime soon. *sigh* Now that I am old enough to do as I please, and can afford it, I'm poop out of luck. ggggrrrrrr! Dave has been fighting illness too, money says he won't be back. That's the reason me and the wife went to see Ozzy back in FEB, there's a good chance he'll have to quit touring too. Wow, I didn';t realize I was ranting..My apologies.
  13. Wonder if CCI will do anything about it?
  14. I've said this many times, and there's no one here with half a brain that can deny my logic. I can't, for whatever less than manly reason, shoot a 45 acp well. I CAN shoot a 9mm fairly well. A 9x19 that hit's center mass beats a 45 that clips an ear ANY DAY. I'm a repented hypocrite, I used to believe 45 or nothing and spouted it a good bit. I was wrong and admit it. If I was going to be shot at, I'd take someone who can't shoot well using a 500 S&W magnum over say Jerry Miculek with a .22 short. Shot placement. It's what it's all about because you can be wearing the worlds best body armor and if someone pops you in the eye with a .32ACP it's over for you.
  15. Poor Bronker!
  16. Guntroll, I can't find a deal on them anymore, but I used to buy a Prvi 50g softpoint from the reloaders bench for my 1/9 AR. They actually grouped VERY tight, but what was impressive is the fact that they were atomic-bomb-like explosive. This is nasty I know, but there was a dead horse on the farm I shoot at occasionally, It made a nice chunk of meat for some test shots. They didn't penetrate deep, but the initial damage....all I can say is eeeewwwww!!!! Nasty! Would give near hollywood results on a Zombie head. Not quite the actual movie like explosion, but awful close. Just for thought.
  17. Remington makes the standard corelokt in 300 savage.
  18. Actually STI makes a 26 round magazine for 9mm. I'm still going to pass.
  19. Well, I never claimed it was rational. Fact, in other posts I openly admit to it being irrational. I look at it this way; My XD 9, using MecGar magazines is an 18+1 pistol that fits my hand like a custom made glove, and it will tear one ragged hole ALL day long. I've had mine since they first come around nearly a decade ago, it's never malfunction, not one single time. Honestly, the 1911 has nothing to offer me. Any feature it (1911) would boast would be on the level or a downgrade. I don't buy that "Stopping power" nonsense, so the the fact that it's a 45 means squat to me. I would credit the 1911 as being one, if not THE classiest looking handguns ever made, but looks mean nothing to me anymore either. So I guess what I am asking, and I am not trying to be smart or provoking, What does a 1911 really have to offer me? If it really had something to offer I'd consider going back.
  20. They'd just get pushed through under the "No politician left behind" clause.
  21. Gregintenn get in here! Greg, where you at?
  22. Loaded chamber, hammer cocked, safety off, no magazine in the gun. Insert magazine into gun and the gun would fire. Yes, I know had the safety been on it would not have happened but if you can't insert a magazine into the gun without making the hammer fall, there's something seriously wrong. I could duplicate the instance without ammunition. Cock the hammer, shove an empty magazine in and *click* would go the hammer. Sold it cheap at a gunshow after explaining what was wrong. The guy understood and was still happy to get it. I washed my hands of it along with the others I owned. Understand, it wouldn't do it every time, say, 1 out of dozen or better tries. One in a million tries is too much for me.
  23. For all my h8red of the 1911, I've rarely seen one jam. I think as Jonnin said was his issue, most of those are magazine related. The weight, and capacity are limitations that can't be argued. I would even give the 1911 hands down first place in the accuracy capability department, but how much accuracy does one need at the expense of other features. A bone stock Glock is more accurate than I have the capability to be. I'll take capacity and light weight any day. My biggest reason for the hate is a negligent discharge from simply inserting a magazine into a loaded pistol. A colt did that to me, and would do so with repeatable results. NO THANK YOU. Do I think a Wilson Combat would do that? No, it probably would NEVER do that. Do I have to justify my reasons anymore than the one bad experience? No, I don't:)
  24. I think Mr. Haffner would be more than happy to have us. It should be on a Sunday though.
