  1. ...and it'll kill zombies just as dead as a $3000 Wilson. Only difference is, you now have $2,880.76 left to buy ammo & spare mags.
  2. Hey, maybe you're right, but I see what parents (including mine) put up with just for the privilege of raising a kid. The return on the investment is poor. Even for folks with genuinely good kids, the cost is awful high for what? An emotional reward? Mehh, that's enough out of me. Be safe, be well.
  3. Where does the mentality of forgiveness equals acceptance come from? You can forgive someone and never have anything else to do with someone. Where does this nonsense of "having to talk and interact" with someone come from? It's insanity. It is entirely possible to say "I don't want to see or speak to you" and not say it out of hate, resentment or spite.
  4. Any of you guys going to show up sunday that own a CZ 75 in 9mm, I'd be very much obliged if you'd bring it along. I'm going to be in the market for another 9x19 handgun and I'd sure like to try the CZ.
  5. Wow, I feel for you. I too have the rare mother in law who is loved and treasured. I'd miss her terribly. So very sorry.
  6. The cruelest punishment is to just put him in open prison. Let the population know why he's in. Let them get their hands dirty for you. People like him do not last long in open population prison.
  7. Yes, there is no difference. You're right, I have no spawn to deal with (thank you Lord) Jason, it's not big and bad talk, it's the fallacy of family. People labor under the delusion that blood relation forces them to suffer their idiocy. Rubbish! I don't hate my family (blood) but it's been nigh a decade since I have talked to any of them and I'll likely die before I do. I can not and will not tolerate their lunacy, I will not put aside differences in belief just so I can sit down and have an awkward meal with them twice a year. It's stupid. You can (I have) forgive and forget, and not go back. People torment themselves because they think "Oh they're my family, I HAVE to put up with them, I HAVE to talk to them" That's crap. If I had a child boy or girl like the story in the OP, they would be tossed out, last words would be, "I love you, I forgive you, I wish you well, but you don't have a home here. You were taught better than this. " If that's too tough or you wanna call it BS, then I think you and I can both agree it was a good decision on me and my wife's part to choose not to perpetuate my bloodline.
  8. Hey I was in the ballpark. You don't know how happy that makes me.
  9. Well, you get into places such as appalachia and I can all but guarantee they won't know the difference when the economy collapses. Extremely rural areas won't be affected by riots or the economy right away. Eventually sure, but there's a lot old school people, that if need be, can cinch the belt down tight and go for a long time on their own. I'm willing to bet, some of your ranchers in Montana could run for a while if left unmolested by mutant zombie rioters.
  10. I thought it was Dave Ramsey when I clicked on it.
  11. Yeah, there's what? Like 9 people that live in Lobelville? Not a bad plan if you know the area well. Hey you don't know a fella out there goes by Big Daddy do ya? About 12 ft tall, denim overalls, and can knock the bottom out of a litre of Wild Turkey and still be dead sober? He a was good buddy of mine years ago, bought a Blazer from him. Ain't seen him in years and wonder where he got off to.
  12. I often wonder how one group of people can be so happy believing in something you cannot physically prove while another group of people are tormented their entire lives trying to convince & argue with everyone that the same does NOT exist.
  13. Your honor, I feel horrible about this whole ordeal, but I was in fear for my life and the life of my spouse. I had to make a decision and I did. ...and let the chips fall where they may.
  14. Yep, this is the beauty part of the Magpul stock. Plenty of room for the batteries.
  15. No that wouldn't help. Baking soda is a base, two alkaline substances wouldn't cancel each other out. Vinegar is a mild acid. You neutralize one with the other. If I remember right, when an acid meets a base, you get an exothermic chemical reaction and the biproducts are salt (Not necessarily NaCl) and water. That's why you pour baking soda on an acid spill.
  16. I found it in a Lowe's parking lot, just sitting there in a parking slot, so I felt justified in taking it. True story.
  17. The fact that I own an Eotech at all is sheer stellar alignment. I don't what put my wife in the mood that day, but she spent about $1500 on the eotech and all things magpul to upgrade this rifle. I know I'll likely never get another. SO, I washed it in vinegar and water (stinky:() Then rinsed in dawn and warm water. Then I sprayed it down and I'm still going through paper towels to dry it out. No chances. Thanks. I don't understand, these are not cheap batteries and my safe is in the bedroom at a constant 69-72 degrees. I've been to the range one time since putting them in, it was very hot, but I was out in it MAYBE 3 hours. Anyone ever had any issues with Energizer Advanced Lithium? I don't ever wanna see this again.
  18. So my flashlight needed a new battery. Hmm, may as well check everything. I get to my Eotech and I had put Energizer Industrial (aa's) in there, and I pull them out and they're slimy! Oh I'm mad! The unit itself doesn't appear to have any goo on it, but the battery compartment is pretty wet. I've wiped it out with a paper towel. I wonder if I should wash it in a solution of vinegar and water to counteract the alkaline? What would you do? There's nothing in the battery box to hurt if it got submerged. I sure don't want any corrosion later. Man I'm glad I checked! I have lithium batteries going back in. No more alky's!
  19. If I gave you the impression of the necessity of "church" I not only need to correct that error, but apologize too. I have little to no use for "organized religion" It's a sham for the most part. A crutch for some. My vows were not taken in a church and there were only 3 people present; Me, my love and the lady in Gatlinburg I paid $75 to sign the legal document. Marriage or not, I would have and will spend my life faithful to her and her alone, but I figure if I can tax break for her, hey, sign the paper:)
  20. Never tried it, But you're not the first I've heard say it.
  21. Marriage is obviously a spoiled word for some people (understandably) but it is natural. There are many higher species of animal that mate for life. As for what I would do with a child, I don't know. I will never know. Took measures to ensure that I will never know. So, I don't know...but I will say this much, I never got caught for (pretty much) anything, and I was, pardon my language, a sorry little bastard. Very rarely did I get in serious trouble and I usually backpedalled my way out of the worst of it. I wish now I had gotten caught for everything, every time.
  22. Go down to Jefferson st or Dickerson pike to Churches Chicken and look at women in line.....That's 7.5 million dollars wasted.
  23. I've never been able to make it work to any degree. I've tried bead blasting and using latex gloves so your hands don't touch it, then actually boiling the parts in water (a raging boil over a propane fryer) to get them really hot, soak in the blue, then rinse to neutralize, then soak for a few hours in sulfurized oil. It looked gorgeous.....then the first time I cleaned it with solvent, it rubbed off like like a magic marker. I was pretty mad.
  24. Oh God. Come on apocalypse, this country is in serious need of an enema.
