    Remington 700

Okay, this ^ was yesterday. Now it's today. Did he mind you like a good son? Has he taken pictures yet. You KNOW we're all like a woman in a shoe store, we wanna see EVERYTHING!
  3. Well, you could talk with the parents and enroll your kid in a Krav Maga class. That would nip it in the bud on both ends. ...I know fighting never solves anything, but it does make one side shut up:devil:
  4. 10lbs 9ozs She's heavy, but for the record that's with a loaded mag, 4 spare batteries, broken shell extractor, a cam pin & cotter pin in the butt; A spare bolt and firing pin in the grip. I don't keep the extra luggage around for just the range. It'll be even heavier if I can ever afford a decent light. I'll have a front grip too by then to help a hold of it. Actually, it balances very well as most of the weight is rearward. It would likely get fatiguing during long hours though.
  5. Just be mindful, If ever the teens find out it was you, your son will likely pay the price. I'm not saying you shouldn't tell...... For the record, I was never caught doing anything when I was a dumb kid. Some say that means I was just really good, but I disagree. I wish someone would have told on me and I had gotten busted for everything. I think I might have turned out a little better, a little sooner.
  6. I wonder how well that would work with an Eotech and full cowitness? I gots ta try it!
  7. I'm just charged that way. I came from the factory with a positive ground system so all my crossed wires are negatively charged. What am I to do?
  8. Really? I don't. That's why they make chocolate and vanilla right? Seriously, I have never liked a grip that integrates the trigger guard. ...Hey, are these made for Iron Man?
  9. I know what Dave's secret ingredient is......the other 4 beers from that sixer;)
  10. Holy crap man! I swear to you I was thinking of deer meat chili when I woke up this morning. Never made any myself....It's a got to do it thing this year.
  11. You know, that really doesn't cost them squat in the scheme of things. They probably scrap more parts in a week's time than they give away. BUT, now you are telling everyone that will listen about how incredibly awesome they are, and if they sell a pistol or two because of your word of mouth, they are leaps and bounds ahead. Why it is, that some companies don't understand this, I'll never know. Case in point, I kinda want a Sig now:)

    Remington 700

After owning many different 308's, I prefer the Savage model 10. My last 700 was great, my 308 (before the Savage) was a Ruger, ALL GREAT GUNS. I just like the savage. Tell him if he likes the 700, stop playing around and do it before they sell it.....BUT, he owes it to himself to at least fondle the Savage while he's there.
  14. In TN the .243 is perfect. I have heard (but not listened to) arguments that it's too small, but they're idiots. A well placed shot ends it then and there. They can be loaded with light bullets for varmint hunting, heavier for deer. AND, with the exception of the 25/06 you mentioned, I challenge anyone to find a flatter shooting (standard) cartridge. The .243 is blisteringly accurate. I really want a 243 in an AR10!
  15. The original service model was ten also. They came out a while before the sunset. When I bought mine they were new on the scene, barely a month after introduction. It came with two 10 round magazines.

    Fake or Real?

I have actually heard that before. I was just lazily slandering my white ancestors.

    Fake or Real?

I wonder if the opening credits will have two white guys talking...."Well we gotta get these slaves in here, we gots a country to build. Shucks, I guess it was a bad idea after all to kill off all them indians. We coulda used them!"
  19. First off that's nickel plated brass, not stainless Second, it looks like Federal Hydrashok. Easy to tell, is there a little tit inside the cavity of the hollow point? If so that is an immediate give away.
  20. Well patton, that's equally as much magazine design as frame. I recently sold all my XD factory magazines and replced them with Mecgar magazines. Mecgar makes VERY good magazines, and the black finish I like better than the shiny factory. To boot they hold 18 where as the factory holds 16. They fit flush just like the factory mags, and all mine have fed flawlessly.
  21. I put on 4 tires for a lady and I tell you all before our Lord God, she was just as serious as can be, She looks and me and says "Okay, now did you put air in them or do I need to do that when I get home?" Young guy pulled in one day with his little donut spare on. Now his other wheels are a really nice factory alloy wheel. He says I had a blow out and need a new tire. Okay I say, where's your wheel? "My what" he asked. "Where's the one you took off when you put your spare on?" To which he replied.........."Oh it was no good so I just threw it over the guard rail there on the side of the road."
  22. I'm packing up now. Be there when they open. Leave around noon.
  23. I have a VERY understanding wife. She understands that before I spend money on my toys, the bills get paid, the groceries get bought, gas in the car, ect.
  24. Be safe over there. They say Zombies can't swim so the mississippi is your friend.
