Okay folks. Cool weather has officially decided to begin it's cycle this morning. We have central heat in the house, but we burn wood in the shop where I work. I start a fire every morning during winter months. Got me thinking. I've always used the most expedient method I can find; never cared just get it going. Not this year. I've decided to swear off lighters and begin each day pretending I have one match. Eventually I'm going to work with just a flint striker. What better time to practice and become proficient starting a fire the hard way, then when you're safely NOT in need of a fire? I challenge all you wood burners who need (like me) or want to develop their skill level to go all winter this year, using your wood stove.....NO LIGHTERS, No matches even! I've wasted a lot of time over the years because for the first hour or two every morning, I have little or nothing expected from me. There's no rush to get the fire going. I'm going to get good at this if I have to set my head on fire call myself ghostrider.

No, but I've left a trail of bourbon a time or two.

Tennessee Firearm Freedom Act results.

So that would apply to solid copper pistol bullets yeah? -
I gotta go with 6.8AR on this one. I like the way women looked years ago. Back when they didn't need to show a mile long stretch of flesh every time they went out. A little goes a long way. But it's like everything else in the world today....boring for the lack of mystery. There's no mystery to a pretty gal when you can google nudie pics of just about anyone. No one wants to work at milking the cow when they pass out milk for free. Some people like girls, some like women....some like ladies. AND yes, there's a major difference. Same difference as a boy, man and a gentleman. You know, there was a time when a gal didn't to pose for Playboy or Maxim to turn you on. There was a time when a gal in a long dress with modest necklines and meticulous hair could make your innards flip with a wink of an eye and sultry smile. I'm not saying it's better, I'm not ramming it down your throat and saying anyone else is wrong, I'm not. But to me, respect and mystery is very sexy. It's hard for me to understand the excitement behind something everyone has already seen.

iron sights on a bolt hunting rifle
Caster replied to Wingshooter's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Try CZ USA. They have several models with open sights in calibers from 7 mag to 300 mag; up to 505 gibbs and their single set trigger is AWESOME!!!! I love my 527 and the next bolt gun I buy will be another CZ. CZ-USA -> Product Categories My recommendation would be: CZ-USA -> CZ 550 Medium Battue -
I REALLY want a Glock, always have but I have to have a traditional rifled barrel. By the time I buy an aftermarket cut rifled barrel, I'm better off with my XD's.

Joseph G. Alexander Thank you for your service. I hope you are enjoying your well deserved rest. We still appreciate everything you did. Sorry I can't be of help, but these things are priceless, I'll tell you that. -
No one would ever know what I spent my money on. If I had that kind of money, honestly, with the exception of my wife, No one would ever see me again. It'd take 8 months to a year to do all my shopping, but then....Nope, never be seen by human eyes again. ....Then again. Have you ever seen M. Night Shyamalan's The Village? Maybe I could build a heavily armed and fortified version of the village. After the initial start up and materials, be 100% off grid self sufficient. Don't know if I could live without wearing shorts and swearing though. ...Then again, Part of me wants to do stupid things like buy up parking lots in nashville. Then plow up the asphalt and plant trees and release white squirrels into them. I wonder if I took a couple of cases of $150/bottle Johnny Walker Blue Label to DC, how many bums I could convince to take a dump on the white house steps.

I like seeing this. I REALLY do. With all the cowboy action shooting (and the pride in that lifestyle) going on nowadays I like to see how beautiful the things the white man murdered/destroyed were. That's great UncleJak, do you have any more pics, I'd love to see them.

Yes, I think we get the point in say??? 2 or 3 minutes? She's lost, you can't find her. We get it. Moving on with the story.

Let me know how they work for you. I might be interested (if you are) trading out some cast 9mm bullets with you. I wouldn't mind trying some of those. I can hook you up with some 130g truncated cone tumble lube type that I use. This brings up a good idea; Anyone interested in kind of a reloaders/casting co-op? I hate buying new molds just to find out they aren't going to work in my particular gun. SO! Did anyone get any reloading done this weekend? I loaded a few hundred 357 mag and a hundred 38's. The 38's I loaded I put in a box labeled "bunny farts" It's a 158g full metal case over 3.0g of Accurate Nitro 100. By the manual it produces an astounding 750+ fps. Better hold on with both hands yeah? I figure it'll make decent training ammo for weak hands, ladies(no offense to the full bore women shooters), children and other novices. I've almost caught up on things, I've got a big pile of 45LC to load. I'm thinking of loading up a bunch with some 777 I have tucked away. Might be nice to have a few boxes for any old/antique guns that trickle through. -
It's no different that seeing soldiers with M-16/M-4's and hearing the ratta tat tat of an AK for sound effects. They'll never get it all right. ...but I'd sure like to watch a movie where someone actually tries for once. Where's the cool movies for gun nutz?

I have a CZ 527 Varmint. I love it. Accuracy with the proper load is about like Okey's dime above me. ^

Just like this! Now you can send your friends secret messages, and send subliminal messages to all the board members.

Change color to white.

Well, I had hoped mine would get better, but I think it's gotten worse. This is the only place I have any load time, everywhere else is near instantaneous. Gggrrrrr!

Well, we need to get some American neckwringers involved.

Mexican government? What the heck are they gonna do about it?

You're right there. I have fed mine a steady diet of some VERY heavy loads.

Wished I had the $$$. I'd buy a Black Bear Borealis (mag lite conversion) These new flashlights are great. Mega output, compact and handy, and cheap but they are missing something. Remember the old days and 5 D cell maglite? ANY LED will out perform them but can you throw a man a beating with your Surefire like the old maglites? I think not:)

Isolationism: Tell me why it's a bad idea.
Caster replied to gregintenn's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've been saying this for years! Bring EVERY troop home. We could do with a mild case of martial law for a few months while we throw out ALL non citizens. Then seal the border while our wounds heal. If there's a threat to our national security, there are options without sending in troops. We train insanely devious groups of elite men from Seals to CIA. Option one, sneak in and wipe out the leadership. If that won't work, we do happen to have the worlds most powerful Navy. That Navy can cripple just about anyone, anywhere. I'm a HUGE fan of these drones we are using now. If a country gives us crap and threatens our borders, send a couple thousand of them to swarm them like a hoard of locusts. All the while, mothers in the states can rest assured their sons and daughters aren't going to be killed by a stupid IED. I'm a staunch supporter of Israel. I won't argue or debate it with ANYONE. I will support them in prayer and with my voice till I die. Having said that, the US should leave everyone to their own demise. The great fear of China? A standing army of over 200 million? Tough to impossible to defeat? Nope. Stop buying their crap. Never import another thing from china and they'll fold. Isolationism? AMEN! Let's shut the door, and as we're pulling down the blinds, raise our right hand and extend our middle finger. Maybe, MAYBE! once we've stabilized our issues here, and wounds have treated and healed we can talk to others, but that's only talk. The damn hippies wanna free tibet and feed children in africa, but we have starving children HERE! We have government oppression HERE! Charity starts at home by God, you can't solve other peoples problems when you can't handle your own. *steps off soap box* -
I just bought another 65 lumen light from big lots tonight that is made by Coast. It was $8 and runs on 3 aaa. Maybe you should check them out. I mean for eight bucks?
