  1. Webley & Scott Mk VI in .455 One that some moron has NOT bastardized by facing the cylinder off and converting it to a 45 acp. Chest holster, cavalry lanyard....it's just a cool side arm. I much like the ones marked "War Finish" It's like they were saying, "We at Webley & Scott strive for perfection, but in lieu of the war effort, Her Majesty's army must be armed and as such we don't have the time to finish this pistol proper."

I can all but guarantee you being right;)

    worst rifle ever!

I found the M44 to have one GREAT utility that few others have. I used to carry mine to the range whether I wanted to shoot it or not. Then, should any yayhoos of dubious personal character/quality take up residence at a bench adjacent to me, whip out the M44 and more often than not, they'd find another place to haunt.

    Heavy Barrel

Also consider weight when NOT shooting off the bench. In the right arms, a heavy barrel will sit still where a light barrel may wander. For me personally, with open sights, a 20 inch AR sits very still while a 16 inch m4 tends to wiggle a bit.

Yeah you better stay hid under that chair too!
  6. Dolomite is right, mount it as far forward on the upper receiver as possible. I don't like it way out on the forearm, and any closer back makes my Eotech 512 hard to turn on and off due to rear BUIS
  7. If they remake them and try to pull some hollywood BS I am so gonna be P.O.! I would say he would have to use an Xframe Smith in .500 magnum.....being as this is the most powerful handgun on earth and would blow your head clean off your shoulders......
  8. I remember when they put me on the table, they never told me when they were going to anesthetize me. I just remember sitting there with an IV in my arm thinking..."You know, I wonder when they're gonna put that stuff in my.........................................."

    worst rifle ever!

I wouldn't go so far as to say "Worst gun ever made" buuuut I'm inclined to sympathize with Mike on this. A very well built rifle, that's why I can't say "Worst" but it's entirely too short to make good use of such a cartridge. Weight, while not feather weight, is still a bit light to handle such a cartridge. Flash in low light is ridiculous or impressive depending on your point of view. Accuracy, while not too bad, is still nowhere near what the cartridge is capable of. I will say half the accuracy woes of the M44 are operator induced, but my God! Flinching is to be expected. This reasoning is why out of about a half dozen or so I have owned... the last one I sold will be the last one I ever own.
  10. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/zombie-apocalypse/62929-hornady-zombie-ammo.html Sorry man, MarkA beat you to it.
  11. Wow!, You too? I have no one to thank for what little I have learned but me. I admit I don't eat all the meat on a deer, but I guarantee NONE of it gets wasted. I cut the ribs and all the funky stuff no one eats, toss it in the crock pot with a cup or so of water and the next day.....I have the happiest pit bull east of the mississippi.

One unique feature...with the bayonet attached, one can raise a white flag easily.

French MAS comes to mind.....wait ANY French rifle comes to mind.
  14. How 'bout sharing pic's and how-to's???
  15. I just saw that Midway carries it. I make a monthly order to Midway so I'll just tack some on each time. Compared to ebay the price is reasonable. Several colors, $15 for 300 ft. Seven Strand Paracord
  16. There were supposed to be how many of us? Hm.. Well, bigwakes, it was good meetin' you anyways:D
  17. Marking this thread so I can find it easier later. Anyone know any good videos on wrapping a rifle? I have an Ishapore rifle I may play at wrapping the fore end. If it look bad I can always take it off, but I kind like the idea of the stowaway survival rifle with storage in the butt, paracord sling and wrapping. Being as it's not permanent I don't feel I'll be in violation of the anti-mall ninja act:)
  18. You might have to settle for the Bat Poet
  19. As uncool and unmanly as this may sound, I promise it's not: Go take a professional training course. There are many from simple to very high level operator courses. I promise you that you will not have your man card revoked, and you will not regret it. Quite the contrary actually.
  20. I wouldn't want a person like that ANYWHERE near me, I don't care if they were the best pistoleer since Ed McGivern. An arrogant, un-predictable,sadomasochistic bigot like that will not benefit anyone. Even the most staunch of equal rights believers have racial preferences even if they won't admit to them. Who cares? I don't care if the guy is green with orange polka dots, if he's a strong arm, decent shot and he's not infected, he's an asset, provided a decent attitude. A person like that with their sexist comments/treatment of women and hellbent intent on establishing the male pecking order and their own dominancy would be better off being on the list of enemies; Not an ally. To save ammo, time and future headaches, he should have been shoved off the edge of the building and done with it, finished, moving on.
  21. I agree in theory, though admittedly not in practice.
  22. Doh! I misread the quote and thought it were mine
  23. I went to school for machine shop there. It was 18 month course. It took me three months to figure out all they could teach me was what NOT to do. Basically, don't stick your finger in a fly cutter, be sure the magnetic chuck is on before you touch off with a surface grinder. That sort of thing. I got a job offer from a local shop (Skyline manufacturing) and learned more in the first week there than three months of school. To be fair, I think that had much to do with the teacher. He was a goober. Also jumping into the workforce today isn't as possible as was in mid nineties.
  24. You dun good! That (minus the nice wood) is my everyday companion. I would love to have nice grips like that, but with all the wallerin' around I do on cars and everything else, I'd have them destroyed. Mine sure has taken a beating over the years and honestly doesn't look bad at all. These guns are tanks. Stoke it up and hang on, the little boogers can get rowdy.
  25. No, I wouldn't.
