  1. Dillon spray lube. One bottle goes a LOOOONG way.
  2. Wow, I really hate this place now....I wanna move. Incredible pics, thank you for posting them.
  3. I'll buy that. I like Middle Tn Electric, and I appreciate what they do, even if my light bill was just shy of $400 last month. They ought to be proud to have me as a customer too.
  4. My wife has the LCP. She put a few boxes through it when it was new, and about a box or two a year when I make her qualify with it. She doesn't like to shoot anymore, so I make her go to the range periodically and prove to herself everything is still as it should be The only thing she shoots is the Corbon DPX and I can't reload for it, it swells brass BAD at the unsupported part of the chamber. No biggie. It's never had a single failure and she's plenty accurate with it. She's also never complained once about recoil or putting a round into battery. I'll ask her what she thinks later, but she's never spoke of it.
  5. DUDE! Why would you say that about a man's wife? You jest I'm sure, but tact my friend, tact.
  6. I don't agree 100% with THANKING the big corporations but I like where this guy's head is.
  7. I'm not a fan of turkey, and other than a little pulled BBQ, I hate pork. Me and the wife usually go to a mediocre restaurant that serves something red. Maybe Ted's Montana Grill for a large slab of bison or Demos's for a steak and pasta.
  8. Very cool. You got a great kid. Some treasure can't be appraised.
  9. RIGHT! It's important to know what you want worked on. Now being as you are in east TN, if it's wheelguns your into, THE MAN of revolvers is pretty close. None other than Hamilton Bowen resides about an hour and a half drive up I40 from you. He's not cheap, but his work cannot be improved upon either.
  10. No, no, there's brass cased surplus out there as well. I have some somewhere and I do believe it's Polish.
  11. It can, most certainly be done. There are tools for de-priming berdan, there are berdan primers out there too. Another option is to convert the cases to take a boxer primer. Requires a lathe, some skill and a butt load of time. Is any of that worth the time? god no! Go buy some brass from Midway USA and NEVER look back....ever.
  12. So tell us, did you enjoy your little outing?
  13. Now as much as I love my autos, this is truth. Revolver guys are laid back and generally calmer and more down to earth.
  14. How would this differ from "Pay it Forward"?
  15. Hey guys, those Coast lights at Big Lots have gone up to $10 now. I bought three more to toss about the house. For the money, these are really great lights. If you get a year or two out of them, it's worth the ten spot.
  16. For once that's a tax I don't mind paying.
  17. When I log on to TGO I look through the new posts and when I am done I click mark forums read. Sometimes I come in and click the new posts function and it says no new posts. After several hours? Well, maybe. BUT, Many is the time when I have logged out and logged right back in and clicked new posts again and low and behold, there's a page or two of new posts. Weird. ....unless it's like a flash mob thing and everyone posts a bunch of stuff all at once. J/k This happens a lot. It's nothing I would say needs attention, I just wonder if anyone else has ever noticed? AND yes I have checked the post times and they indicate they were posted before hand. Personally, I think it's a conspiracy:tinfoil:
  18. That was added AFTER the ad was listed though.
  19. Yep, A bullet making machine is for sale on Shopgoodwill.com Can you believe it????? Oh, God help 'em. shopgoodwill.com - #8884814 - Great Bullet Making Machine - 11/20/2011 11:00:00 AM
  20. With all that hippy stuff he might need a shot of whiskey when he gets back:stare:
  21. LOVE IT!!!
  22. Yup, slug your bore with a soft lead slug first. If you wanna get fancy you can take a cerrosafe casting of your chamber and throat. Measuring your throat will get you going on how far out you can seat your bullet. Longer is better up to a certain point. You don't want the base of the bullet below the case neck; protruding into the case. Obviously you don't have to do this to get the length but it will give you a more precise idea of what the throat looks like. Here's a good one to start with. I had great luck back when I cast for 303 british. 2-Cavity Bullet Mold C312-185-1R 303 British (312 Diameter) 185 Grain 1 Ogive Radius Gas Check
  23. I have a Lee mold that drops .453 boolit at 205g so I am close on that one. The .356 is in intriguing. I'll make a note of that one. I may hit you up later on when I get caught up. If my new 30 cal molds don't pan out, I'll have to remember that 311413 too. I used to load for 45/70. I had a Ruger No3. If it had been a No1 I would still have it. LOVE that cartridge. As it is, the No3 is rough on the body when you start feeding that cartridge a healthy diet. Wish I hadn't sold the mold I had. I had a Lyman 457671, a 475g gas check. It was a stomper!
