Why? No man is an island, everyone needs something. Maybe they ain't runway models, but I bet you a dollar she'd make for a decent helpmate. Now that her daughter is dead, she's gonna have a few issues, but that's totally understandable. She's tough, and knows how to do things. Remember she was married to a lazy sob that wouldn't lift a fat finger to do anything. I'll bet you that dollar, that she'd be appreciative in more ways than three to have a mate like Daryl that can provide, tell it to her straight, actually help out with labor AND most importantly not lay an unwelcome hand on her. Looks mean squat. I guess I'm lucky, my wife is a lot better looking than I deserve, BUT I'd rather [especially in a zombie apocalypse] have an ugly broad that can do things as some gorgeous yet worthless pseudo princess who refuses to get dirt under her nails.

By far, the coolest SKS ever made HAS to be the Albanian. G/L finding one, but if you do I would snap it up, they're kinda rare.

I'm thinking he's using them in a Saiga.

What'd you come up with? Anything? Never messed that caliber before but.......... I did manage finish some .357 mags tonight. Much anticipated by me, these are the first loadings of a new mold I picked up. 170g Lyman (358429 I think) lubed with my own recipe. These buggers are just BARELY gonna work in my SP101!!! I have about .010 clearance when seated as deep as I can seat them and still be able to use the crimp groove. I put a heavy crimp on these. Starting charge of AA #5 and a CCI standard primer. Should run just over 1,100 fps. Much as I LOVE Hornady, you can keep your Zmax zombie ammo. Even untested, I'm pretty certain these are going to be a piledriver sure to put the great divide in some undead skulls. -
Does yours have cool lookin' flutes? Hmph, I thought not. Seriously, other than shedding weight I'd say it's cosmetic. You know, an effort to make you feel better for spending that much on an action.

That is pricey.....but you gotta pay to play. If you're like me once it's paid for, you'll never miss it. You will however, smile when you can't measure your 100 yard groups because they are all in the same dang hole.
-
Neat yes, but I'm not sure I understand the purpose, unless it's just a fun thing.
-
HA! I know what your sayin'. I can't hear the radio without my glasses.
-
You can't beat an Eotech. Not cheap, but after you pay for it, you'll never cry about it.
-
No problem, you are welcome. BTW, it's Caster not Carter I'm a mad boolit castin' fool:)

There was one across the street just this morning....I live in the 'burbs! They're wise to you fellas! They move out of the sticks when it's cold and hang out inside city limits.

Found it, I knew there was a post with his work here. If this ain't good enough looking work fer ya, you're just out of luck. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/61758-mauser-project.html

Our very own Guntroll here can take care of that. He does nice looking work.

I agree and would add. I pray this guy lives a long life. I hope he lives to be atleast 100 years old. I hope and pray his mind holds clear and dementia never darkens his door. Jail time isn't enough and executing him does nothing. Strip him of his rights, pray he lives for a long time and remind him constantly that his idiocy took some poor mothers child away. I just don't understand how a man could be so stupid. These people should not be allowed to breed. Prayers for the family. With a little luck the kid is hunting some serious Upland game in the Elysian fields right now.

Unless I am going into Nashville & Gamorrah [in which case I carry an XD] I carry an SP101 everyday. The only thing I would tell you to do is get a speedloader or two and learn to use them. Unfortunately the SP isn't the most speedloader friendly pistol ever made, so practice with it.

Glad this guy lives in Florida...

This makes me ashamed to be among the gun crowd. This is why I can't bring myself to go to more gunshows than I do. This is why I am jerk when I go to shows and even at the range sometimes and refuse to engage in casual conversation with strangers. There's too many of these guys out there. I just don't want be within three counties of a moron like this. -
I don't what's more sad, that behavior or the fact that I am not the least but surprised.

There's lots of fancy gimmicks on the market. It's hard to know. It's difficult to breach the subject, but if you know any LEO's involved in shootings, ask about it. Here at home/work I carry a .357 mag loaded with Hornady 140g FTX. The testing I have done show them to be very reliable for expansion and penetration. When I venture into town, I carry a 9mm loaded with Winchester SXT +P+. They're rough one the ears but they work...period.

When you say short barrel, do you mean a registered SBR? That requires a little more involvement that I don't know much about. If you're just wanting to build a 16 inch carbine, That's easy.....provided you have the money. That's always my stumbling block. You need to dig around the thread here on TGO http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/show-tell/1480-post-pictures-your-evil-black-rifle.html 88 pages and counting of awesome hardware. Find the one that makes you jump and make that your pattern to start. You need to have an idea of what you want it to look like or you'll be all over the place hunting parts.
-
Now you need to start casting for it and tighten those groups up significantly.....not to mention make it easier on the shoulder and wallet.
-
Fairview Tn uses a Glock in .357 Sig. Don't know what model that is, but I know for a fact that's what they use.
-
Yikes! Either you need to shop around more or I need to be more appreciative of my sources. I'm doing it for roughly 6 or 7 cents each right now. If you decide to give up on the idea of loading them yourself, I'd be happy to take the once fired brass off your hands;)

There's been some decent books mentioned, but I would advise you to be a little more long sighted as well. SHTF survival isn't going to be roughing it in the woods forever. A great trio of books is Country Wisdom & Know-How and Survival Wisdom & Know How and Garden Wisdom and Know-How These are great reads, click the titles for links to amazon.

No, that's proper terminology. I was building a redneck metaphor [as I stated]. It's Thrashin' Mashayn in rural territory;) LOL!!

Sorry, but I will believe it when I see it. For whatever silly reason, people seem to be laboring under the delusion that the system can be fixed. Sorry. You're wrong. This country has spun a rod bearing and it's knocking like a thrashing machine. You can't tune it up anymore. It's going to have to be pulled, torn down and rebuilt. There are parts that need to be remachined and some that need to be thrown in the trash. It's too late and there just isn't enough people with the stomach to do what needs doing. Two words: Political Cleansing. Sorry for the redneck metaphor:)
