^ yeah, that's what I was wondering.

ec=5.75 soc=3.13 Although I answered truthfully, I'm not sure I really care. I'm slowly losing my will to give two wags of a rat's Δ§§ about politics or the carryings on of man. Not to be mislabeled as apathy, I just really have lost my will to care in the last year or two.

My EDC is a 9mm and it sports 127g Ranger SXT. It's +P+ but I didn't see that they were all that hot, it's not really noticeable to me. They are reliable and VERY accurate out my G19 though.

Hot dangit Dolomite! You know I was planning on another AR build, why did you have to go and post about this. I've thought about it all day. Now I'm wanting one in the other cartridge you mentioned, the blackout. Answer me this if you can, where do you set about getting an action [savage]? Try to find a beater for reasonable and tear it down or what? Sigh, I'll never get ahead financially what for talking to people like you!
-
Be better to go with a good sturdy action like a Savage just incase a regular 7,62x39 finds its way in there.
-
Right, think of the people there. Remember, Iran was a decent ally of our before the people in charge there took over.

Unique in an MP5? Awesome! I bet the smoke trail looks cool as heck! I've used Unique in 9mm too, I always get the nicest little cloud in front of me. -
Nah, you're fine. How did they shoot? Cycle well, accurate? If so, party on. What I'm fixing to say is NOT to be construed as a thumbs up for shody reloading practices. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS follow the load data in your book!! Always. They are giving you data for standard pressure loads. The G17 is a LEO favorite the world over. LEO's routinely use +P and +P+ ammunition safely, and by the truck load. LIKE I SAID NOW this doesn't mean going beyond the load data you have, but it should be reassuring that gun is built to handle it all day long. .....PS, Never go above above maximum listed loads listed in your load manual.

Remington's response to Walmart specific guns
Caster replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Long Guns
I'll say this too about the brand name debate, there's really only about 4 or 5 major manufacturers anyway. Hating one and loving another is funny sometimes. I know a guy that's convinced Michelin is the devil. He loves BF Goodrich and thinks they are the best money can buy. Too bad the same company gets his money. If he only knew.... -

LOL, wow. Well, i sell tires all day everyday. Honestly 65K isn't a lot to brag about. Before FIrestone discontinued the Steeltex I have seen them 75-80K. I have seen Michelin Pilot tires sporting a 800+ treadwear and run over 100K. This is dependent on regular rotation, vigilance on inflation and having them on a decent vehicle with a tight proper alignment and good driving habits. 17yr boys and people who drive like them get significantly less. Toyo was mentioned, they make an awesome tire provided you stay away from the Spectrum. I've never seen a set of used ones that weren't bucked up like a skill saw blade. Even when you rotate them often they get a feathered edge. Their open country is an awesome tire though. I don't know too much about the tire sales folks running cheaper tires either. I'm running Nitto Grapplers on my Toyota at the moment. They were on sale [at wholesale cost] and they were still fairly pricey. They ride decent, but sing a little. They do very well mud ice and snow. Mileage means nothing to me because I pull them and sell them for a used set while they are still in real nice shape. I'll put 15-20K on them, sell them and buy another new set @ wholesale and put 'em on myself of course. I don't know much, I'm not a brilliant fella, I only know what I've seen in the last 7 years of doing it but I'm pretty confident in what my customers tell me. We don't rally under a brand name so I don't have anything to gain from supporting one over the other. -
Sure. Never mind the maniacal SOB who's openly admitted to working toward a useable nuclear weapon and who has also openly stated that he plans to use them against another nation [israel]. He needs to go. Now. I apologize for being selfish by advocating arial bombardment. I do have a soft spot for US and Israeli soldiers though.

Is there a reason that you body size at all? If it's a dedicated lot of brass in a bolt gun, I don't understand the need. Doesn't mean there's NOT a reason, I just don't know what it is.

Glenn is pretty close. They can just make the penalties harsh enough and the rewards for tattle tales great enough. Witch burnings! Hunger is a powerful weapon too. Control the distribution of commercially produced food and people will acquiesce. Then the physical fighting can be localized to protecting supply trains. People can make their brags and stash weapons and ammo, but everyone cannot grow enough food to feed their family. Large farms would be under tight grip too. Like I said, anyone can talk tough, but when that belly starts to growl, or worse, when your child's belly starts to growl, desperation will change you reasoning.

Personally, I think we should stay out of it physically, but I think it would be good posture to take as well as a good gesture to support Israel while they do it. Ship them several boat loads of guided munitions and UAV's to do it with. I think it fitting for the last thing ahmadinejad sees in this life is "Made in the USA, Delivered by Israel". I'm more than happy to see my tax dollars spent like that, all the while our troops stay out of it. Money well spent.

Doesn't matter if it's us or Israel, Iran needs to be dealt with in a bad way.

Once again, I'm the weirdo. I hated mine. It was a SS MKIII bull barrel and I absolutely loathed the thing. I was glad to be shed of it. With the exception of the XD45 I sold recently, I have never had a pistol that I could not get along with as bad as this one. For one, it would not cycle ANYTHING made by federal, the white box match stuff, the regular federal, even some older federal lightning. Not even once. That's forgivable though, it's understood that .22's are picky eaters sometimes. The intolerable was the fact that I couldn't hit a barn door at ten paces with it. Everyone else could so it was obviously not the gun, but I hated it nonetheless. I've never liked .22 rimfire and this one put the final nail in the coffin; I don't own a single .22 [pistol or rifle] of my own. I'll stick with my other pistols that I can actually hit something with. I'm somewhat jealous that other people have such great luck from an obviously well made pistol.

A Great Die Off??? Boy, that can be interpreted a few ways. AGDO could very well be our destruction. AGDO of people who even give a crap about 2A rights. I have heard and talked to people in the [roughly] 16-25 year old age group. For the most part, they don't care. I can't tell you how many eighteen to twenty year old boys I have talked to that will tell you they don't care what happens, they don't care about rights or freedom, they just want to get high and find the first whore to open her legs. Their mind is poisoned by the program they are receiving through their devices. They can't carry on a civil conversation what for punching buttons. What do they care what he government does? They have Big Macs and online multi player. I give a blanket exemption to the children of TGO, but on the whole, the young people of this country are dumber than a bag hammers and they know and they don't care. They are useless [as they are] and a waste of resources they consume. BUT, I don't blame them. It's the participation trophy, dirty tree huggin hippy scum parents of theirs. Yep, Ohshoot, your words are prophetic old buddy. A great die off of testicular fortitude and conviction will leave the country resting with a generation of Matrix batteries. Why would the left seek a physical confrontation when they could patiently wait for us to die off of natural causes?

I know people do it, but the problem with that boolit is going to be seating depth. To get it to under max OAL it will have to be seated rather deep. That's jacks pressures. I tried to get the tech guys at Accurate Powders to give me a starting point for a 158g RN I cast and they wouldn't touch it. Said it didn't leave enough space in the case. Another thing to consider depending on you brass's internal geometry is the fact that the case tapers slightly the deeper you get. If you shove it in far enough, you're going to start sizing the boolit down and/or create a bulge in the case that you could only iron out with a Lee factory crimp die which will absolutely size it down. Then you'll be frustrated by leading and wonder where it's coming from. I'm not saying abandon hope, but I once wanted to do something similar and gave up for the above reasons. I was hoping to make some subsonic loads with the heavier boolit that would still cycle the action. -

She's got a She-Ra, Princess of Power thing going on with that blade don'tcha think? That's awesome, though. Even if they never need to build one the experience a person gets from building things with their hands opens up many doors of understanding. That's being a cool dad right there.
