Some people don't think you NEED 30 rounds in a magazine. Some people don't think you NEED a rifle that will shoot through a small block chevrolet.
  2. One day the sum of all their fears may come true and a bunch of gun nuts will REALLY start shooting all these left wing hippies. Imagine how quiet it will be two weeks later:)
  3. Savage model 99 in .308 winchester. WHY? Well, I love the 308. I think it's the best "all around" cartridge ever made. I love the 99. It's the only lever action that is "pointy bullet friendly" (<-- that's a technical term) AND, I don't own a 99. Now there's some lucky dogs *couchgregcoughcouch* who own many. I doubt many would agree but a Savage 99 in .308 tossing a 200g cast boolit sounds like a boat load of fun.

  5. I've always wondered what would happen if I were to be involved in a shooting in Nashville: The perp is down and instead of calling 911 I call 862-8600? They say for NON life threatening emergencies call 862-8600. Well, if he's out of the fight, it's not life threatening. Some lawyer would try to make you look like a cold blooded killer for doing it I bet, but wouldn't you be right to do so?
  6. OH now THAT IS MUCH BETTER!!!!!!
  7. Yeah, you can't get that in people's thick heads. "Durr I've never heard of Surplus Arms and Ammo" You could have an LWRC, Sabre or Daniel Defense (or equivalent) upper on it and they still would not understand.
  8. Ain't that the truth. Every one I get into starts out fairly economical. Then....... Unfair advantage my eye, they TAKE unfair advantage of my wallet.
  9. The rear site is mounted on the bolt. I wouldn't like that. Cool gun though. Heck of a deer rifle.
  10. Bet they ban him for life. If they don't, they should.
  11. Welcome:hat:
  12. LOVE it, love it love it...well except for the BAD lever. I just can't get with that thing even if it works. VERY nice rifle.
  13. I don't know if that's truth or a load of crap, but I'll buy it. I'm gonna go tell the wife that now. Thanks Rob.
  14. It's cool budkr, no one said it was a bad first post, just odd. and it is a little odd, but cool. People talk about everything one here. Personally, I would talk to a GOOD tattoo artist and see cover up options. A GOOD tattoo artist might fool you at how well they can polish a turd. NOW, tell the truth.....it's a chick's name ain't it....I bet it is:tough:
  15. Sure took ya' long enough. What in the world could you have been doing for the previous 60 years that was so important to keep you from shooting one already? Just kidding. Welcome and the guys are right, it's very addictive.
  16. I caught the mistake, not him. I made a typographical error. If this is policy and this is "the rules" then they are crap. People make mistakes, people are creatures of habit. When I fill out a check with the wrong date, I tear it up and make out another. No difference here. Plus his attitude was crap. You will notice genuine gun stores are different. My wife has bought me guns for christmas and B/days. Is that a straw purchase. The store she shops at knew full well. Even helped her pick out a holster based on what they know of me. They understand the difference. This guy was an anally retentive power junkie type who used his "behind the counter" authority to make me look like an aßß. I had no issues with dealing it right back out.
  17. Several years ago me and the wife was in Cool Springs one day and she decided she'd buy me a P90. I was wanting a Ruger in 45 pretty bad. I had just moved back home and was still in the habit of writing my old address. When I realized my mistake the guy would not let me fill out another paper stating something about how if my ID didn't match my address. So my wife said she wanted to buy it and he refused stating he knew it would be a straw purchase. I called the manager and proceeded in the most un-christian like fashion, to tell him off Clark Griswold style: Fat slimy bald headed limp ____ sack of monkey ____. Then left. Just to not be outdone, we came back the next weekend. Bought it from another attendant but I made sure to let the other guy know what I had done. That previous week I had called Academy Corporate and made a nice long formal, but civil complaint. I noticed about a month later when I went back he wasn't there. When I asked about the guy I was told he doesn't work here anymore. Dunno if I had anything to do with it, but I hope I did. Other than that, I haven't had any issues with them. I do have to remind myself they don't play the same game I do, so I don't converse with them outside of please and thank you.
  18. It's an obvious marketing strategy that targets stupid kids who worship their stupid video games.
  19. Yep. You look the part over there, they walk over and have a chat with you. Get an attitude and they send you to meet the god of your choice. Very effective and makes lots of sense. Americans would protest in disgust at this. All I say is....Shalom.
  20. Watch the media go nuts when one of these kids is stiff in the morgue. I bet my hat the "rest of the gang" run for the hills and cry foul to the masses when they see one of their own on the ground, spewing like a can of warm beer from the three fresh chest wounds he gets from a permit holder.
  21. Ohh no one's turning ugly. California state would be a wonderful place.....if it weren't for the state of Kalifornia.
  22. White boots? You mean like Pee Wee's Tequila dance?
  23. One potato chip to rule them all One chip to find them One chip to bring them together and in darkness bind them.
  24. Can we get the TGO moderator crew into congress? Just think how nice the country would be if they could make other "less desirables" vanish like that.
  25. I'll second the primers. I've better luck with them than any other. In thousands and thousands of loads, I've not had a single bad one. Just so you know, in 200 Fed match large rifle, I had 9 bad ones, failed to fire. This is actually good to know. I never checked myself, only assumed. Somewhere I have a good 200 rounds of wolf I found at the gun range. I think I'll pull them and make some super light 308 win loads. OR save them for 300 BLK, if I ever get back to it.
