  1. One thing I did with the last Yugo I had was put that grenade launcher to better use. I took the barrel off, set it up in the lathe and bored the launcher open just a hair. Then in each of the exterior grooves, I drilled evenly spaced holes. A little de-burring and viola, the perfect muzzle brake. It worked very well BTW.
  2. I used to trade with the reloaders bench extensively, then I met David...DLM37015. You're not going to beat his price. I don't care where you go or what you buy. For components, he is the man. ESPECIALLY if you load for military calibers. A jug of surplus powder and some ss109's.....you JUST can't beat it. .....and he's a cool guy to boot.
  3. I can remember how I hated spending the night at my grandmother's house. I was MADE to eat this the next morning. This sucks!
  4. The moral fabric of this country is woven with the rotten threads of hypocrisy, lies, & deceit. It's been woven by back stabbing, manipulative heathens and to think it only just started is as naive as it is stupid. "be careful who you support" That's wise council actually. Today's ally, tomorrows enemy. I hate these kinda threads, I get worked up and almost convince myself that I give a . When in fact, I really don't. I used to, but now, matters are too far gone to care.
  5. Right, I ain't touching the sucker.
  6. Nah, this'll go. They WANT that $10. If they average just one gun purchase per permit holder per year that's 300,000 x 10 = 3,000,000 They are not going to give that away.
  7. All the features, accuracy and great trigger can't overcome the fact that it's the most butt ugly contraption ever made.
  8. They've played as a special event kind of thing several times in the last few years. The event I meant would be a bone fide return of Black Sabbath with a new album. New songs and a new tour.
  9. Something else to look out for on an SKS. The rear of the bolt. It shouldn't be beat up or rounded off. It headspaces against a Square pin that is driven into the receiver. You can actually tighten up the headspace on a worn rifle by driving out the pin and turning it 90 degrees. In theory you have four facets to the pin therefore that's three times you can turn it. Break down the gun and check these points of contact if it's feasible to do so. If not, it needs to be on your inspection list before firing.
  10. Admittedly I (personally) find the idea repugnant, but really, what frickin' business is it of mine (or anyone else's) what another person likes to rub on. If they wanna get hitched, more power to them. Funny, there's less disease spread by two monogamous ______'s than the heterosexual whores (men & women) that saturate any given downtown bar. No one has to answer for another on judgment day so leave them be and let them get their friggin' tax break. Maybe you can't be friends with everyone, BUT, everyone could peacefully live out their life if everyone could just mind their own business. Societies problem #1: Always trying to stick a nose where it's not needed or wanted.
  11. Did you know that ALL of the original members of Sabbath have made their peace with one another and are now working on a new album? It's been 33 years!!!! Please pray for Tony Iommi has the early stages of lymphoma. I hate to sound like such a selfish SOB but I hope he's strong enough to tour. I mean come on!!! To be able to see the REAL Black Sabbath. Once in MY life time opportunity. Fingers crossed. Where have you been? Since their self titled debut album they have: Awake (2000), Faceless (2003), IV (2006) and The Oracle (2010) Oh good grief....
  12. Staind and Godsmack is coming, tickets went on sale the other day. Who's going? Tickets were pretty reasonable. Wife got ours, good seats and a meet and greet pass after the show. I can't wait to meet Tony Rombola. It's nice to know someone understands that highly technical music isn't always wanted or needed. Sometimes the mood just demands a nice clean pounding of low E or drop D. BTW, where can I get a TGO T shirt. I'd love to post some pics of me wearing the TGO logo standing next to Sully!
  13. When I first got my Eotech I was so friggin' confused I kept my iron up for full cowitness all the time. The holo moving about really bothered me too. BUT, it works. You just have to FORCE yourself to get used to it. My biggest trouble with it is forcing myself to shoot with both eyes open. There's no magnification so you don't benefit from closing one eye. Right the opposite, your field of view explodes when you open both eyes. I've been grouping my rifle one eye or two. From a rest, forcing myself to calmly do it right, there's no difference in groups.
  14. RGHT, it was in nashville yesterday. It's in franklin as of 5:41 am today. AND TO BEAT ALL, as of 10 minutes ago, it says "transferred to post office" I'll be lucky if I get it this week. I understand I'm not nearly as important as I think I am, and shipping mass quantities takes time but that's just stupid.
  15. That's going to be a costly bill to get it fixed right. Suck factor 9.9 Mr Sulu, Engage.
  16. I'm diggin' this one back out. UPS is close behind. I ordered from midway the other day. AGAIN, they shipped (ground) from Mo to knoxville. You can't get to knoxville without going through nashville. From knoxville to nashville to franklin. What a bunch of IDIOTS! You can't tell me they couldn't get a truck load to nashville and come out ahead. Some desk jockey thinks he has it all figured out I bet. I'll bet too he could find his butt with both hands.

    My rifle.

I always toyed with putting a grease fitting in one. Then you'd only have to take it apart once a year.
  18. Yup! I'll be there buy some more ss109's:)

    Let's see your AR's

The rail wasn't working for me, and I never really hung accessories on it other than a grip. I used the MOE handguards and grip. The color also matched the rest of the FDE magpul stuff. Glad it's working for you.

    Let's see your AR's

Looks good Matt! I meant to ask you a while back, how are they working out for you? Part of me laments selling them. I have to go handle my rifle to remind why I did:) Then I'm okay.

    My rifle.

That thing is ugly. It's filthy, there's mud in the handguard grooves and is that a bit of surface rust here and there? Mike, I like it. Almost makes me wish I had kept one or two of my AK's. Dang, I have a box of parts to a Yugo. I may have to build me another one.

    Sterling type 2

The Sterling is very prolific; It was the basis for the Blastech E-11 standard issue blaster for Storm troopers.
  24. Right, when's the last lever action you seen in .300 Win Mag?
  25. One good thing, there have been break throughs in technology to make insulin that doesn't require refrigeration as long as it's below 75 degrees or so. That's a bonus. The immediate supply isn't so bad, as you can check your conscience at the door when it comes to your family. You can bang it out and TAKE what you need from the drug stores (post SHTF) as best you can. The horrifying part is when the factories are shut down....where's the supply coming from. Not cool, man.
