  1. Many good recommendations but have you considered working on her instead of the gun? No offense, I'm serious.
  2. Out of all your shooting, I see only ONE shot that a man wouldn't likely die from. The last target, you put one round in the upper right shoulder. Even that round though would put all but the toughest and most motivated out of the game. Especially considering most people are right handed. Dang good work. Obviously an optic will tighten those down considerably but those are some dead zombies there man. Heck yeah. Advice for improvement? Shoot more. Keep doing what you're doing and change it up. Prone, kneeling, standing....just keep shooting.
  3. This could be a blessing in disguise though. If it were, to say...unify Christians across many differing doctrines to rally them to a single cause, it could be a VERY good thing.
  4. ........SO, don't let them take you alive. It seems to me, this situation is much like we tell our wives about abduction: Make your stand then and there because what they do to you once they take you away is MUCH worse. Better to go down swinging on the spot.
  5. Yes, slugging is worthwhile. It gives you a VERY important piece of the accuracy puzzle. Even if you're not casting bullets for it [which you should be!]
  6. Found out the PT140 trigger is NOT the same, no matter, I found one that fit and finally got it back together.
  7. Finished up by loading some more .45's and reassembling my PT145. I FINALLY found a trigger for it that would work on gunbroker and ordered the slide stop spring. Taurus wouldn't sell me one. I even whipped up some pimpin' cool brass pins for it. Yeah they look bad. I've gotta order some stainless to make some more. They'll do for now.
  8. Moving on while I was motivated, I loaded some for the blackhawk.
  9. Well, while you lazy bums were lounging about, claiming need to rest or whatever lame excuse you use, I busied myself at the bench today. I started off early, turing ingots into a nice pile of usables. I then proceed to turn those into .308's. This load is VERY accurate, brass lasts for dozens and dozens of loadings....I'm guessing, I have yet to wear any out and this lot has been fired MANY times. All this at a total out of pocket expense of about 9 to 10 cents each.
  10. I was just checking my DVR, I seen the Walking dead ready to record tonight. I forgot all about it, thank God for a DVR! Just a friendly reminder for any of you scatter brained, lead poisoned dummies [HA! like ME!!!]
  11. I keep my primers in 20mm ammo cans. Toss in some dessicants, good to go.
  12. NO, you would have been an idiot if you would have tried it. Instead you asked and found out the easy way. Finding out the hard way sucks.
  13. Yup, Pimpin' ain't easy....no wonder, trying to concealed carry that!!
  14. Kevin Costner, Where were you, you lazy bum? Wasn't you supposed to be watchin' this girl? Seriously though, RIP Whitney.
  15. Wow, I could really go off here, but I won't. Luckyforward, the last thing I want to do is disrespect you or start an argument but I have nothing good to say about that post brother. If I decide I'm ready to go, on what bum authority do you have the right to say otherwise? Likewise, how does one conclude that that would make me a danger to others? The bulk of the worlds problems are directly related to over population. If people want out, by god let them out! Anything else and you may as well incarcerate them .............Oh wait! That's exactly what you,re doing!
  16. Well, keep it over 16 inches and your good to go. I know of no legal issues other than that. Then you should start casting heavy bullets for it. Like 200g+ Make it a low velocity, high mass thumper!
  17. You did miss a thing. A jerk.
  18. Yeah, if you don't like getting waited on.
  19. What do you expect to gain? That's a fat lot of powder in that 7,62x54R case. I think you may end up with a shorter handier rifle, but at the cost of accuracy. BTW, it's been done already. They're called M-44's *edit* Although, now that I think of it...an M44 without that clunky bayonet contraption on the end would actually be a nice little carbine. I say go for it and post pictures!
  20. Uselton's inventory liquidation sale? The bank says everything must go!
  21. You're approaching it too "matter of fact". Cartridge designation rarely [accurately] coincide with bore/groove dimensions. 7,62 mm refers to a bore yes, but 7.62x.03937=.2999 Nothing is THAT caliber. I'm not sure why caliber designations have been so squirrelly over the years but we just accept it. Just look at 7,62x39 is supposed to be around .312 That's actually 7,92mm but 7,92 puts us in mind of 7,92x57 (8mm Mauser to most americans) Early bores were .318 while later revisions of the cartridge were .323! This is maddening! Back to 7,62mm Look at the Czech 7,62x45 that's .309 or the Russian 7,62x38R [Nagant revolver] which is .295 Further the 7,62x25 Tokarev runs about .310 and the 7,62x54R is .312 NOW! What will REALLY make smoke come out your ears is when you realize MANY of these weapons vary so drastically from barrel to barrel [among the same weapon!], you wonder how they ever shoot at all. For instance, if you want to shoot the most accurate handloads you'll ever shoot in your Mosin Nagant, you'd be hard pressed to beat a good cast bullet. BUT I've seen bores run as big as .316+ For proper fit, that would put your cast bullet as high as .318+ Luckily 7,62x51 and it's commercial brother .308 Win as well as 7,62x63 [30/06] are very well controlled for the most part. BUT here we go again, my Ishapore 2A in 7,62x51 shoots best with zero leading when I size to .3105. You really have to understand, there's a happy medium in there from a safety stand point, but for ultimate accuracy, you MUST slug the bore and use size appropriate bullets. This applies to jacketed bullets as well as cast.
  22. 667 thousand dollars? Wow, he only sold 4 guns last year.
  23. There's a deeper rooted evil here too. Religions aside, who's business is it if someone wants to kill themselves? Why do people make a federal case out of someone wanting to bow out? It's BS. I'll tell you why. They want the appearance of caring, but they don't want to lose any taxpaying, potentially voting, sheeple/slaves. I'll never understand it. It's not like abortion where you are murdering a child, this is YOUR life. It should be an eye opener just like land taxes. You're NOT free. You're only free to do what someone else wants. It's your life to do with as you please....as long as they say it's okay. Mr. doctor needs a beat down in the parking lot.
  24. I like it, but would likely paint over the "zombie stopper" logo and just go with the biohazard symbol. The reticle is cool, but I wonder if in serious use it would obscure sight picture or confuse the eye with the trailing tails???
  25. I heard the black panthers favorite food is a beavecoon. They're vicious too, seen one the other day took a photo:-)
