Okay, no one is going to like this Tell them you will go above and beyond to help them now, provided they put forth an effort to help themselves. The alternative is, WTSHTF, they can suffer, join a FEMA camp and/or starve. Do something now because you either help build the ark, or you drown when the door is shut. It's just that simple. The people that are technically my blood relatives will suffer because they are blind fools and I will not help them after the scorn a ridicule I've put up with in the past. But I digress, you tell them DO IT NOW and you'll get help but your apathy today will be your death in the future. Life is cruel, swimming against it's current will only leave you exhausted when you get to the same end anyway.

Approached by beggar at the gas pump

That's cool. I never have a problem feeding people. I'l gladly buy anyone who's hungry a bite to eat with my last dollar.....but I won't give them a dime. -
I can see this guy defending himself in a big law suit over someone with a bad case of Glockbutt.

I wish Henry would build their larger rifles with a side loading gate. I swear I'd buy one today if they would. I just can't get to liking a tube loader. For plinking and hunting it's fine, but I would seriously carry one of their 45 Colt rifles as a dedicated truck gun if it were side gate loaded.

Thanks, I had no idea as I don't surf the web much. I couldn't be happier though. I hate Shane and will be glad to see him go. I will say Jon Bernthal has done an exceptional job playing the character and I will hate for him to be out of a job. Rick's character is changing much for the better, but Norman Reedus is the man. His character is the one I'd be want to tight with. He's got the skills, the balls and the mindset but he's not the soulless monster Shane has been. If anyone believes the things Daryl Dixon has been saying to Carol or that he is not VERY tormented by Sophia, they are deluding themselves. He has a heart he just has a heavily fortified citadel built around it. He loved that little girl and I believe he cares greatly for Carol, he's just angry about it all and when real men get angry from loss, they get a touch assholish. Daryl is the man though. Personally I'd like to see him take up with Carol before Merle comes back. I feel if he does, he will have a reason to stand up to his one handed bigot of a brother. Maybe with any luck the writers just let Merle die, but I doubt it. People want closure on that. I hope Daryl kicks his butt. ......HA! and we make fun of the women for their soap operas! What's the difference?

I don't like .22's Never have. BUT, I have my mother-in-law's Henry .22 and I will say it is one dang fine rifle. The guys at Henry put the quality AND value back into the "Made in America" stamp. The gun is probably one of the best values on the market.

THIS, is the reason I pull back my shirt and switch to open carry when pumping gas. -
I will pass on the barrel plug idea. Something just feels wrong about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWwBmNWENK0

Well, being as he's a man and we assume he's alone I conclude that the seductive sound that he's never heard before but has him so held by its wondrous nature can only be: Silence. There's no women or children in the monastery and therefore there's obviously no unnecessary yapping. The beauty of silence this man has found. It's the real reason men go deer hunting and fishing.

Just borrow it and don't give it back. Simple. I never condone breaking the law in anyway, but come on. Carry it home and on the sad day that his grandpa passes away, consider it inherited.
-
I think maybe he had an inclination as to who would be going home and he was just upset at the thought that the blue team broad wouldn't be prancing about in her shorty shorts for their entertainment.

Everyone has been so cheerful from the VERY warm winter we've had. Here's where the cheer ends. Winter is SUPPOSED to be cold, here's what the out of season warm weather gets you. Be safe everyone. -
Cool Springs Mall hit with series of vehicle burglaries
Caster replied to daddyo's topic in General Chat
Sears isn't posted and neither is the mall entrance from Sears. Cool Springs Galleria, I have said for the last couple years: The future home of one of Franklins largest vacant buildings. Soon to join the ranks of Bellevue mall, Harding Mall and 100 oaks Mall. -
Dreams are a strange phenomenon. Heavily studied and no more understood than they ever were. Personally I think people put too much emphasis on them, keep your mind on the here and now where it belongs. The things you see and hear in a dream have no more value than the last sci-fi movie you watched. Everyone will dream things [some can't remember them] of calamity or stress. Some dreams make you wonder how it is that your mind could come up with such utter nonsense, while still yet, other dreams give you pause as to how wildly inappropriate they are. In the end, they mean nothing. Your mind can become a dangerous enemy if left uncontrolled. Example: The most dangerous thing to be found in the dark is another man but many have issues walking around in the dark of night. Why? Your mind will start wandering and playing on unnatural fears. Dreams are the same way. If you put anything into them, they can grow to torment you. Don't give them any thought. Prepare and practice, check your preparations and then double check. Don't assume anything. Be mindful of where you and your loved ones are at all times. The prepared mind and the paranoid mind are twin brothers, ALMOST identical but there are subtle differences. The best thing I have found that will put fears to rest, is a plan of action and the determination to follow the plan.

Is that gas block held in place with set screws?
-
That's cause I quoted WestwindMike and was directing that comment to him.

That should be easy for the companies to do, wonder why they don't offer that? Bet you a dollar there's a hacker out there somewhere that can get that done.

When does the contest end?

Yeah, that's a spread. I rank it up there with those brass and rosewood pocket knives we all had back in the 80's that you couldn't keep sharp if your life depended on it. BUT, are any of us really surprised that Pakistan = ? No, of course not. That crap was probably made by some teenagers up in the Khyber pass on an anvil with a flint rock hammer with a femur bone for a handle!

Ohhh, for the record. Despite many loads of acceptable accuracy and exceptionally uncharacteristic pressures for the venerable 45 Colt; My VERY best load to date is a 200g lead RN that I cast soft, my own lube recipe, and 7g of AA Nitro 100. They feel like a mouse farted under the weight of the Ruger.
