Or, if can't find any treadmills to convert, you could build him a Conan Wheel of Pain and chain him to it.

You're right and I don't like it either. Good has to struggle to survive, evil just has to keep doing what it does best. The world is full of Shanes and their greatest asset is their most hideous quality, A willingness to do what ever it takes. People like Rick have the opposite problem, their greatest attribute is the their greatest weakness. I guess that's why a man has to believe there are worse things than death. When a man believes there is NOTHING worse than death, well, you get another Shane.

I use a lot of AA#5 but if I were loading .380 I would likely go back to #2. I used to use a lot of AA#2 but I moved to AA#5 and started getting better results in .45 acp and .357 magnum.

I would be interested. I have thought of this many times, but I can't get anyone motivated to work with.

No one is arguing. The show is dealing with humanity and moral decisions at the moment. There will always be debate on the matter. Honestly, I'd be bothered if there weren't some differing opinions on the matter.

Where did I say brute strength makes right? I didn't. I said MIGHT makes right. This country isn't run by guys who are six foot four and 300 pounds of muscle. Our career politicians are prime example of 'knowledge is power'. Look at business, Bill Gates is a wimpy little thing. He's also the last guy to get in a fight with because when he barks an order, people move without question. That's power. I can't believe I'm defending Shane as much as I can't stand him but, people like Shane will always survive. Dale? Its a crap shoot. Shane has the tools and the talent. He has the training, the will and mindset. The fact that he has the physical ability to beat you down is just a side affect. I think you missed my point Lostpass.

I'm going to see them in may, looking forward to it!

The 19 is probably the most popular.....and for good reason.

Oh, brother please don't put sand in your tumbler. Walnut shell or corn cob media. Sand...well, it won't take you long to figure out that won't work.

SAND????

What would you do with him then? Gamble that he won't hurt anyone? Waste the resources to guard him al the time? Risk lives by trying to take him off and dump him again? I'm not trying to justify executing the boy, this is really screwed up situation I hope to never be involved in. I would hate to know it was on my shoulders to decide. I think in this situation I'd talk Daryl into loading up around midnight and pull out, never even saying goodbye.

Me and the wife talked about what I'd have done. As disgusting as it seems, I'd have left him on the fence. He was an enemy and in a situation such as this, sorry, no quarter given when you don't have a dime to spare.

Well Cap, the WHY is simple but you're not gonna like it. The why is because you [or anyone else short of GOD] are powerless to stop it. All I can say is, it's a great thing that none of us have to answer for anyone but ourselves. It's a very great thing. Everyone loves their stories of people overcoming insurmountable odds, but the truth is, as any of troops can attest, fire superiority wins the day. There's absolutely nothing man can do to change this. Never will. Cap, the fact that you're upset by this just means you have a conscience. Without men of conscience manipulating and making deals with men of power, where would we be? The answer to that lies in the future of this country. Wait and see.

Yep, it's just that

I buy that one anytime the gunsmith has a cool project or there's a surplus rifle article that looks worth reading. Otherwise, two or three issues a year will keep you up to date on the same repeat ads.

It wasn't his "don't kill the living" policy that made me not like him. It's his adamant opposition to "survival of the fittest" that couldn't stand. Like he's better than that, or too good to be under the rule of natural selection. Typical hippie crap. Might makes right and the strong survive at the expense of the weak. It always has been, so shall it forever be. The only difference with our world today is that it is more cost effective to give a few concessions with a pat on the head telling everyone how free and equal they are, then to just stomp them out. The fact remains the same though and no amount of talking like some college ethics professor will change that. People like Dale seem to think they are better than everything else in nature. Dale was weak. I can't stand Shane, but when he dies, it won't be like that. I'd be shocked if he dies in a one on one; Taken by surprise. It's not palatable to people who to be civilized but it's the way of things.

Feedback Wanted - Overhaul the Classifieds / Trading Post?
Caster replied to TGO David's topic in Feedback and Support
Hey David, I see they carry a timer much like Sleaze-bay and other auction type sites. Does that mean at the timers expiration the ad will close itself? If so, I would love to see the change. Nothing's anymore aggravating than seeing something for sale, only to open it and see *SPF* I do miss the old system where we had the option of locking our own threads. Courteous people could lock their for sale ads and when you see the lock you wouldn't bother clicking on it. -
Wow, how cool would that be?!! I once sold a pump shotgun that I got when I was 11 years old. My first. I got a chance to get it back, I bought one just like it from my neighbor and traded it to the guy that had mine. Heirlooms are a priceless thing.

Feedback Wanted - Overhaul the Classifieds / Trading Post?

Good Lord, $123,456+ for a french compact car! Seriously, it looks great. I say do it, provisionally. That is to say, if you want to. I doesn't really matter too much. It's very nice, but if you're out of pocket as well as time for doing it, is it worth your time? I'd be happy to see it, but I wouldn't be upset if I didn't. 6.8AR is right, there's no problem with what we have. -
My first thoughts were: Are you that lonely and is that legal in TN? If I had to guess, I would say it was somewhere in the 40's to 50's.

S&W M&P is about the best bang for the buck and they have solid warranty.

I carry a Glock 19. Maybe the fact that I wear knee length denim shorts year round make the difference???

Wax buildup on bullets causing a problem.
Caster replied to Raoul's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Well, I have put a car buffer in a bench vise and locked it power on. Then buffed the noses clean. The pad is ruined as far as waxing cars, but it can washed and reused for the same purpose. -
Good point. Dolomite has been tearing down steel cases bargain ammo and his findings are pretty sad. Some of the powder charges vary by grains...not tenths of a grain. I think most if not all of us reload to a MUCH higher standard than the bulk ammo manufacturers. NONE of my reloads vary by more than +/- .1 grain. That's match grade by comparison. I think if the truth was known, most of us reload our blasting ammo to "Industry Premium" standards and what most handloaders call match grade loads would embarrass the quality of factory match ammo.

I don't subscribe, but I'll pick up Handloader and The Backwoodsman anytime I see it. Others I buy as I see fit but none are worth buying every issue. Most gun rags only print one or two read worthy magazines a year.
