  1. Oh I understand it. It's truly a great tool. You can shop, get information and even chat with incredibly awesome people like me. Seriously though, I'm just an old hat kinda guy. Look at how MUCH depends on a such a complicated cluster of wires. If you step back and look in through the looking glass, it's really mad.
  2. 2 cheese sandwiches on wheat, half a sleeve of BBQ pringles and a 7up. Got a pack of starburst in my pocket getting soft and I'll likely drink my dinner.
  3. Good question cardcutter. I pegged him for some gangsta thug in the first few episodes. I'm pleased to admit I was wrong. He's been fairly calm and rational, save a few instances such as that fever thing which was understandable. He's been a fairly quiet but strong back for the group. IMO, even though Shane has been tough and a good fighter, I put T-dog in tied 2nd place with Glenn for MVP. Daryl being #1.
  4. Cash and a Glock. Identity thieves, come get some. The only thing we have is a debit card for bills. The money goes in the bank the day before the bill gets paid. The internet is still new technology. It's only been around in full force less than 20 years. Still, people are hooked on it like heroin. I don't understand why anyone would tie themselves to a fallible invention of man so tightly. I'm sure this steps on some of ya'll's toes but come one. Can you not admit how dependent your are on it. I'm sorry, if you whole life goes down with the internet that's NOT keeping up with the times, it's foolishness. Sorry for your troubles Reed.
  5. Hey, it's Vegas. If it feeds a guys ego, it'll sell.
  6. Maybe, but I've been burned thrice, a CETME, a Galil and an AK,,,,all junk.
  7. Evidently one is enough. Poor wheelgun, no one to play with, all the plastic making fun of him. buy him a friend!
  8. You fixed the picture I see. Depending on what the rifle is used for, the key holing issue is not necessarily a bad thing as long as you're on target.
  9. I always liked the cartridge. Should be a great shooter. I think Century has straightened up a lot recently. Plus, it's an AK, they'll cycle even if you cut them in half.
  10. Typical Century build, they built it with the magazine coming out the top. Nice looking rifle. I too hope Century got it right. Be sure and let us know.
  11. Well, I'm not a SME, but there are several really good options. The new CFE powder is supposed to be great. Personally I have had both my best results and my best bargain from WC846.
  12. Yeah I saw that. The bat rastards! You can post the picture and it shows up in your preview, but once you post it......
  13. Oh shut up Benton! I have thought the SAME thing. Every Glock I see for sale is a .40 I even have a few coffee cans of brass that's managed to accumulate over time. I've told myself no many times. I don't need another mouth to feed. ANOTHER cartridge to load for. Now here you go talking like what I've been thinking makes sense. I'm broke enough as it is! Seriously though, you can get a steal on a .40 S&W right now. Crazy. Why are people giving them up? I don't buy that 'pricey ammo' bit. .357 Sig is still going and it's far more expensive than .40
  14. Certainly, and there's more: With lead, it's virtually impossible to wear out a barrel & with the pressures so low, there's very, very little chance of doing any appreciable wear to any other part too. With the loads Jeff is working on here, i would say his old 30/30, if it's in good shape now, should go 20 to 30 thousand and 99% of the wear and tear will be handling and cleaning. This is how you get out your great grandpaw's old gun you've been too scared to shoot and breathe a little life into it.
  15. Yeah, it'll be a fine starting point. Understand, it'll be fairly low pressure, you're not going to hurt anything, BUT, be mindful of how far you go. Unique loads are funny at first. You'll want to keep going, but things can turn ugly quick, just like any other powder. You can start as low 7g if you like. For the lighter bullets you have, I would stop around 10.5g-11g max. Work up in .5g increments, if you don't find the accuracy you're looking for, stop and start all over again with another powder. Trail boss or AA 5744 would be my next stop from there. Don't worry though, you'll find a beautiful plinking load in that range. AND after load them, stop and consider how cheap you got out! Oh, and when you get your first ones loaded and are ready to shoot them, brace yourself. Maybe only load one at a time for safety. You'll be so tickled you may not stop laughing. I have let people shoot my Ishapore .308 loaded with a 168g gas check cast boolit over 10g of Unique and they call me a liar and start looking at the brass trying to figure out what's going on. If you've never shot these before, you're in for a treat. If you have young'uns, this will be GREAT for them to cut their teeth on. AND to boot, it's still plenty powerful to dispatch any critters or even a deer if you mind your distances. I'd keep it under 75 yards for what you have. Have fun and please let me know how things go!!!
  16. There. did that work?
  17. I dunno why the picture never showed up. Surely every one remembers the wheel Conan was chained to as a child?
  18. I figured as much. I bet patience is wearing thin. I'll say it again: "Politely ask"
  19. Yes, but good water rank a bit higher. They haven't given a hint as to how well off they are [pun intended].
  20. I got ya, I missed the disk thing. I hate those things.
  21. Click 'report' at the bottom right and then write the moderators, politely asking them to change it for you.
  22. That's a tough camera to take turkey load recoil. Very cool.
  23. They should pour some gas or something in the old well and torch it. Then fill the old well with the dirt of the new well. T-Dog has been low on the radar, give him the job of well supervisor.
  24. Really? I had really good results with it in .32acp and .380 Funny how different things pan out for different people.
  25. You know, the tread mills bring up an interesting point. Manual labor. I have a solution, put a chain around the boy and set him about digging a new well!
