  1. I know it would do well with the .22 LR, I just can't get into it. I dunno why, I just can't get into them no matter how hard I've tried. 1gewehr, thanks, I didn't know that about the grip. I'm not going for a restoration but I'll keep it as close as I can.
  2. Next week.......FINALLY BACK TO ZOMBIE KILLIN!!!!!!!!!! Nice to get a break from all the drama once in a while.
  3. Another goofy 410 revolver.
  4. Wow, I need to adjust my monitor or something!
  5. Do we get 6 months of benefactor benefits if we guess the exact amount of brass in the tubs? Seriously, what are they, 30/06?
  6. I used to work hard to get/keep mine to looking like that. I don't know when it was that I stopped. Now I just tumble clean and stuff them.
  7. Wasn't talking about appeasing being a good strategy. Should have been gone a long time ago. BUT if you're going to be there, being in decent relations with the civilians can't hurt.

    what is the deal

You're a dying breed. The world is a jerk. Manners are something you can read about in a history book along with everything else involved in being a gentleman.
  9. Yep, they've been getting that ready for a while. It's about time to start pushing it hard.
  10. If they did that, I bet it would go a long way toward relations.
  11. Well, the article [if accurate] says "NATO's International Security Assistance Force said the soldier acted alone and turned himself in after opening fire on civilians. " Why would he turn himself in if he did nothing wrong?
  12. Ohh, okay. Protect him. I mean, he just killed children, but he's a US soldier and that means soooo much more. Pfft. Scum bag. Let him rot from a rope and low tree limb.
  13. This has been happening since man has been warring with one another. You just have to have dish out justice in it's harshest form and move on. Lingering about and dragging the subject on in discussion [media] doesn't do ANYONE any good. You can't fix it, men break in war. Some would say that ending war would solve it and that may be so, but wars will never end. World peace is a lie. I hate it. Give the guy to the Afghans for judgment which will be a swift execution and write him off.
  14. Yeah, I picked that stock up a while back and had a different plan for it. I'll likely take it off completely or maybe as you say redo it very subtly.
  15. Three prong, dang right. You got an old one? If I buy a new one I think I will bury it in the flower bed for a month first.
  16. I put a bird cage on it and it just didn't look right.
  17. I have to have this T shirt!!!!!!!!!
  18. My current desktop:
  19. Somebody buy Mark a beer That's just incredible. I love to see the old warhorses revived and restored to former glory.
  20. Did some horse tradin'. Dunno if I got beat, but I ain't been this happy since the hogs eat up my twin brother! Check out this old Colt A1 upper. Pencil barrel, chrome lined, 1/12 twist. Bore is nice, you can tell it's seen use, but it's very nice and lots of life left. No forward assist, and the charging handle is not old, but the BCG is M16. I've already stuck it on one of my other AR's and it shoots AWESOME with a 50g soft point. Here's a mock up of what it will look like. I picked up this battered old scope at a gunshow a while back for a decent price. I still need the all the parts to put this stock on a lower. A tube, spring buffer, upper stock screw and some little detent thingamabob. I've never assembled an A1/A2 type buttstock so I need to look at an exploded view and figure up what all I need. I also need an old style three prong flash hider. I can buy a new one from midway for like $8 but I'm hoping to find an old crusty one. I also need an old type grip like the old bakelite ones. I want it to have a battlefield pick up look to it. I'll likely fork over the extra bucks to NODAKSPUD for an appropriate reproduction lower and charging handle. So? Whatcha think? Anyone got some parts that would be appropriate, shoot me a PM.

He don't live far from here, but I don't have an addy. He's been here to the house once. Ohshoot I don't think its bugging or unreasonable to give him a ring being as he ain't posted in a while. Give him a call, make sure he's still breathing.

    Bronker??

Didn't he go off on some missionary expedition to like Haiti or sumthin'???
  23. I've been hoping this kid would pick up an electric guitar. WHOOT! Got my wish. Now, according to him, he's only been playing the electric guitar for two months and he needs a lot of work and practice.
  24. I will second that.
  25. A .357 revolver would be hard to beat for doing many different things with one platform. Especially if you reload for it. At least to the frightened sheeple, a revolver is slightly less threatening than our evil plastic fantastics.
