Yeah Lester, there were TONS of those old coins melted back during the silver rush several years ago.

Well, I wouldn't condone anything illegal but it's interesting to point out [strictly from an academic aspect mind you] that once melted into ingots, they are not really distinguishable from anything else that you might melt down.

No, no, It's GOTTA be Glenn with what looked like a woodman pal to the forehead. Nice to see Glenn stepping up.

That first photo is NOT a .577. It's like some old school 4 bore or maybe a .700 nitro. This brings up a good point. What's up with the overcompensation some hunters around TN have? I saw a guy at the range last year sighting in his "deer rifle" . It was ungodly loud and the smell of sulphur was so strong I thought a demon might be possessing someone. Turns out to be a .30-378 Weatherby. I didn't say anything but I did ask where 'bouts he hunted to which he replied, oh all around middle TN. Well, if he's happy I'm happy but what the heck????? I used to work with a guy who deer hunted with a .416 remington or a .458 Win. Yeah....

For the record, anyone who's as in love with that revolver as I am should know [with a broken heart]....I have written Mr. Bowen and got a reply from him last year on said revolver. You're looking at north of $3500 plus the donor Redhawk for that. When I hit the powerball, I plan on having a matched, consecutive serial numbered pair. Until then, I have this very nice photo to look at.

I'm not aware of any REAL law that prevents you from destroying money. I could be wrong. It's always been MY understanding that it's the Federal Reserve that says you can't destroy money. Well....they don't have any lawmaking authority do they? They're powerful, maybe more powerful than the house, congress and the senate put together, but technically they have no law making authority. Would some attorney please enlighten me? I built a small furnace capable of melting copper and was planning on moving some of the pennies to larger bars some day.

Look at the map...It's america's penis. California is america's fat ***

I don't fool around with coins and currency so I am both ill informed and easily amused. At the last gunshow I saw someone selling COPPER bullion and coins. Since when? That's sweet! Affordable and in all honesty more useful. You can't make change for a multi hundred or thousand dollar bar of gold. Copper is small time for the rest of us. Seems to me that copper would be MORE valuable than gold and what not when get down to it. Wire, copper jackets, EVERYTHING has copper in it. I've been saving copper pennies for years. They're worth more than 1¢ each now and they ain't gonna be worth less anytime soon. Does anyone collect this? Would this make for a reasonably good investment that can be returned if nothing ever happens?

They do! They work great for that.

Florida, It's a nice place to visit.....as long as you can come home.

It obviously wasn't a Glock.

I know I'm alone here, but I don't see Carol getting killed. As much as Daryl has been hateful lately, he won't let her die. His hateful attitude is how he grieves for Sophia. Wouldn't bother me a bit to Andrea join her sister though. Who else is grilling out and whippin' up a good meal for tonight? Steaks, baked potatoes and yeast rolls! Going to be good tonight!

It sounds like it's been dry fired and the firing pin may have put a very small dimple in the edge of the chamber. I had this happen to a single six I bought. Someone had dry fired it a lot. I ended up having to break out the magnifier and the dremel and dress the edge EVER so slightly.

I'd go for the .50 action express but no the Desert Eagle. The cartridge is great, but that pistol is ungainly and cumbersome. How about, classy, sexy and retro rolled into one: Hamilton Bowen builds these from Ruger Redhawks. Hand cannons with class!

^ This works. It's frowned upon by some of the more elite shogun crowd types, but it WORKS. AND like he said, it's cheap. -
Call DSA and give them the serial number. They can tell you. As far as the flash hider? I dunno, it could be permanently attached. Which.....nothing is permanent where a lathe and a mill is involved

I've got a single cavity 170g RNFP Ohaus mold I've been saving for 30/30. When I get caught up, I'm getting back into 30/30. One of the best rifle cartridges there is and they take to a cast boolit better than anything. I've always admired the .444 marlin. It's just a beautiful cartridge to look at. If I had one, I'd cast some pure lead hollow points and paper patch that bad boy. -

I called, I asked, they pitched it in the trash. I wold have gladly paid shipping on that. *sigh* Oh well, I don't suppose [from another's point of view] that I have anything to complain about.

More from the lyman 358429. These little fellas are cast from air cooled stick-on wheel weights. They aren't pure lead, but they're close, and soft as butter. These are for .38 special and should run in the 800fps range. Nice & gentle, but deadly to zombies melon. The weather is getting warmer everyday, you guys better get on the stick, casting. It'll be too hot soon! -
Yeah, I forgot that. That's what's funny. It was post marked the 13th. They received the gun the 9th and I got the pistol back the 15th. Two days for a letter is about right. I just thought it was funny. They had the gun 3 business days[provided they don't work weekends] before they mailed the letter saying they got it. It matters not. If the gun cycles this weekend when I get to the range, the matter is closed. Still a point of humor though considering their refusal to sell parts, my over inflated, ego driven rage from their refusal, AND their record speed at which they repaired it. We all over react, most just lie or hide it to save embarrassment. I am still peeved about the grip frame. The repair letter says it was cracked so it HAD to be replaced, but there was a lot of drama and history witnessed by that pistol. I carried everyday for years. My wife bought it when we were just dating. It sat with me through all our good times and fights, and debacles. I'm sad to see the scratched up little turd go.

Poor old Taurus. Ya'll really need to get ya'lls stuff together. So I got my pistol back yesterday right? Yay me! I got letter in the mail today. What a bunch of goobers!
