I made the sheath for the other one and it is very sturdy and functional but a blind quadriplegic monkey could make a nicer looking one so I won't be showing it. I have SOME pride. I'm done with the Kydex though. It's nice but when I finally get around to making the third knife, I'm going back to leather.

Well, I finally got back around to fooling with these. I finished my piss poor kydex sheath for it. I'm not happy with it but it'll do. I'm not very good at making it work so I give up while I still have a usable sheath.

Yeah, if a cub was involved, she'd kill everything with a heartbeart and knockdown a small tree or two. -

Don't think this is how the "stand your ground law" works

Well, I wouldn't ever start a fight in the first place, but be danged if I take a beating and not even reach for it. I don't care what some attorney can twist and contort about not having a deadly weapon. If someone starts hitting me, I'm going to put holes in their torso. -
I love my CZ 527. If I were in the market for a .22, CZ would top the list. Strange you post the target but not the rifle. You realize all of us here, we're like a woman in shoe store, we wanna see everything! ...You don't even have a pic of it in your album! Shame on you. Just a bottle of Glenlivet and some guy rubbing his bare butt on a cop car. What's up with that?!!!?

Trying to police racism is idiocy anyway. People just don't understand that these things will settle themselves as long as they don't turn violent. I wasn't kidding about this newer generation. The one thing the young generation have going for them is that racism is dying fast. YES, it still exists, and some people preach it HARD to their children but as a whole, it's dying. Kids today really don't care. Most young boys nowadays, if the girl looks good to him and she'll give him the time of day, it's on. Where she come from doesn't mean near what it used to. Neither does the opinions of either set of parents. If a business doesn't want to serve white folk [i'll use my skin as example] then white folk will take their business elsewhere. Won't be long before others see that business as a joke and trade elsewhere too. AND, if the business does manage to prosper, so what as long as they pay their taxes. Why anyone would cry about a place they are not wanted is beyond me. If a place does not want me, then screw 'em! Moving on. I'm not filing a lawsuit because the other kids on the playground don't wanna be my friends. That's just sissy pansy wimp. {wussification of amerika remember?] PLUS, it all boils down to the same problem. I;ve said it so many times I feel like a scratched CD skipping. People just need to mind their own stinking business and keep their nose out of places where it isn't wanted. Why is this idea lost on the average american citizen I will never know.

IF installed correctly, a Helicoil is stronger than the original threads. It will distribute the load of a given thread size over a larger area. They can be tricky to install when they're little and the kits are not cheap. Don't be fooled into thinking you can do it without the little install tool either. It's tempting to get the tap and the inserts but that there's a tool that looks similar to a schrader valve tool. When the stripped hole is tapped with the helicoil tap, the inserts are threaded in with the tool. There's a little tab inside the insert that rides in a notch on the tool. Thread it in carefully, be SURE the tapped hole is clean, blow it out really good. The tab on the insert is usually scored so that after a certain amount of pressure it will break. That way when it's in, you can pop the tab and the hole will be through. YOU CAN DO IT! If they're rare, it's worth it too.

Someone made a stock years ago that replaced the V-block with a cam locked wedge. By pulling the forearm down, it disengaged the block and would allow you to remove the barrel. Can't remember where I saw that, but I did.

A) I don't care who a person wants to bind themselves to. If they want the tax credit so what? If they want the blessing and punishment that is marriage, it's none of my business as long as they ain't throwing up in my face. B ) Free enterprise should be just that. If a company want to slit it's own throat by being selective, let them. With the upcoming generation of "Don't cares" those businesses will do well to keep the lights on. C) ABSOLUTELY NOT. On the other side of the coin, if you cannot afford the service and DON'T have insurance, it should be at the hospitals discretion to help or let you die. D) I like this one. It's my personal opinion that this should be mandatory for ALL boys of appropriate physical health. Girls too, but I'm a little more flexible there. This country is raising the largest generation of püΩΩies ever known to the world. I'm sorry but it's true. The wussification of amerika from political correctness and participation trophies is well underway. Spineless rags are the youth of this country. Take a clue from Israel on this one. Give these kids some pride and something to be proud OF. E) I DO believe in a fair share of taxes. I despise the misappropriation of those taxes to feed lazy degenerate whore mongering baby factories from the ghetto. Flat rate with a cap. Stop punishing the prosperous because they actually wanna work for what they have. Stop laying the burden on the middle class. Pull your weight or STARVE AND DIE! Does that mean I would be not cool with help for the SEVERELY disabled, heck no. BUT, ohh my back hurts doesn't mean squat. Almost everyone can do SOMETHING. If you're crippled, get a desk job. If you're stupid pick up trash but DO SOMETHING even if it isn't necessarily cost effective. Able but lazy deserve to starve. Period. F) NO. BTW, you asked for it.

Ain't that the truth. Also a bunch of reinventing the wheel. People need to just realize that sometimes real improvements are few and far between. You have piles and piles of fancy rifles and short magnums and off in the distance is the 30/06 shrugging it's shoulders saying "Yeah, so what?" With all the ridiculousness of some of todays larger handguns, people seem to forget who cleared the path through the wilderness for them.

Mehh, close, but I will have to disagree with the hunter part. I fixed it though and now it's perfect.

Why have we never seen Mr. John Q. Public white collar working man, who got beat down by some ghetto thugs, in the same light? There's no public outrage when some working man gets killed for his wallet. I guess that's just whitey getting what he deserves. I say we need to watch and find the next working man that gets killed from a drive by or something and blow it all out of proportion. Then we can blame all the Sharptons, Jackson's and other trash for not controlling THEIR people. Ohh wait, that would make me a racial bigot for even making such a suggestion. It's no wonder this country is about to collapse. The morons of this country wanna get wound up and burn millions upon millions in resources to cry about this one instance; Meanwhile, we're all about to starve and be branded with our number of enslavement. -
My comment earlier should be clarified a bit. I am taking someone else's opinion as my own. Hamilton Bowen's opinion, it can be said, carries more weight that the normal man's opinion. I take the things he writes seriously as he has earned the right to say, He knows more than most when it comes to revolvers. At the end of the day, it's still just an opinion. Here's an excerpt from the man:

I too clean it first, but only because I wanna see what it's guts look like I didn't clean my Glock when I got it christmas. I did smear some red grease on the rails and lock areas. I clean it every 1K rounds, I break it down, wipe it off and regrease it after every trip to the range.

Wow, just when I thought my affection for Magpul could get any stronger........

Charlie has done an INCREDIBLE job flipping that place over. There's nutz and jerks everywhere in life, but he has really run some of the enema bags from yesteryear, down the road. No more know it all jerk wads telling what and how to do something. If your muzzle discipline is good and you're not rapid firing or being rude, Charlie is good to go. He is VERY easy going but he does have a line and you will not cross it. For the record Owl Hollow is dead. Haffner Memorial Range is an EXCELLENT place to shoot and could very well be the best gun range bargain in the state despite his membership fee going up last year. $60/year now. Most of people waste more than that on vending machines and hobos every year.

45 loads work in 1911 but not XD (sometimes_
Caster replied to chances R's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
You shouldn't be crimping it at all in the normal sense. The cartridge headspaces off the case mouth. Get a Lee Factory crimp die. It's very hard to over crimp with one. I would imagine it's the difference in extractors that's letting one fire and not the other. If your 1911 has a very stout extractor, strong enough to hold the cartridge in place while the firing pin does it's job I'd say that's why. The XD may be letting go enough to keep you from getting a good strike. That's bad as you are now getting excessive headspace. That can kick up a hornets nest. Be certain you are not using a roll crimp of any kind and that you have a good edge at the case mouth.
