I found an RG 23 [.22 revolver] loaded on the river bank of kentucky lake. I was roaming about the wood line and it was just laying there. I thought it was a toy. I was 13. I've found knives of all kinds and once found a mason jar full of really old spoons [fishing type]. Weirdest thing I have ever found: When I got my first taste of real freedom at 14 [motorcylce learners permit] I had a dual sport Honda. I roamed the countryside going places I should not have been. I took a trail off of a back road not far from home. I crossed an open field to small circular gathering of trees in the middle of the field. When standing in the cropping of trees, the entire sky would turn red. You could step outside the tree line and see blue skies. Sound like a ridiculous lie but I'm not the only one who has seen that. Years later I tried to find it again...the trail is nowhere to be found.

I dunno, some of those developing chemicals are rough. They used to use 98% ammonia and that stuff will cripple a rhino.

I don't know if you're chronographing the load or going by the data in the book. If it's the data in the book, the 357 will usually get it's extra velocity by way of a longer barrel too. I can't remember offhand but I think my Accurate manual lists a 7 inch barrel. You could take the same load in a rifle and possibly see even more velocity than the listed number.

Thanks to the OP for screwing up my budget. I had just forgot about a 659. Now I'm on my head to have one again. I've sworn since I was a kid I would have one. When I was a kid[8 or 9 years old] we [not me ] were at a family friends home and everyone was in the backyard shooting. My dad had bought my mom a 659 and I wanted to shoot it. When I asked for about the third time to get a go at it, I was reprimanded and sent away. So it's it's been one of those things on my mind. I'll have one and I'll shoot the hell out of it and dare anyone to say anything about it. Dang it. And I had just sat down and budgeted out my priorities for the next 6 months.

39-2 is a cool pistol. I've always felt like the 3913 was one of the finest compact 9x19 pistols ever made. I'd dearly love to have one of those too!

This is the first revolver my wife has had ANYTHING positive to say about. Looks like I may have to try to find one.

Don't own one but I love 'em. Personally I like the 659 better. I am very much in lust with this handgun. Look up a fella by name of Mikegideon. Him know a thing or two 'bout these smith & wessons.

Yeah man, that charging handle shouldn't be rubbing that bad inside the upper. There are GOING to be wear marks but not like that. I'd have a chat with D/D. Those guys have a great reputation, they'll do what's right.
