  1. crait....you never cared what the kids at school thought of you, Did you? You just don't seem like a 'follow the pack' kinda guy.
  2. Well, you don't tell a man what to do in his own home. He can stick in mouth and dance like a chicken if he wants to, it's his house.
  3. Quoted because this bears repeating for all you reloading newbies out there.
  4. No doubt it does sound suspicious on your end, I just can't, by any stretch, figure how the gun could be responsible. Try switching to a totally different lot of primers too while your at it.
  5. MIghta been a little taboo had it been non family. It was your dad, if he gets mad about it just hit him with a "I was rasied better than that" and he'll get over it. In ANY event, better someone be mad at you than a kid do what kids do.....something stupid.
  6. Handload for it and you will have more fun than you've had in a long time. The .303 responds EXTREMELY well to cast bullets as well as paper patched lead. Neck sizing and casting will give you a very accurate rifle that (after a bit of an investment) you can load for around 7 or 8 cents each.
  7. Sounds like your measure is missing a charge. It happens. I'm not sure how or why. I don't believe you could get a squib in any pistol with a charge of bullseye, even if it was a short charge as little 2.5-3.0g it would have plenty of pressure to get out of the barrel. UNLESS you have some weak faulty primers. You're getting a no charge or have some bad primers. The fact that it happens in a glock is pure coincidence. Flame on you progressive lovers, but THIS is the main reason there will never be one on my bench. I may be slower, but I visually see EVERY powder charge before seating.
  8. STIFFS the hooker??? Yeah, I'm sure he DID.
  9. DLM37015 [aka David] sets up at dang near every gunshow in TN. If it's not him, it's one of his buddies running the table for him. Smack me, I can't remember the price, I just know they were on par or cheaper than anywhere else. 'course that's most of what he sells.
  10. G19/gen3 factory plastic rear. May not be the most accurate being as it's plastic, but it'll give you an idea.
  11. Second that.
  12. So our resident reloading supply guru David [and his associates] sell a 147g jacketed hollow point for a very reasonable price. I can't recall how much, but you won't find them cheaper. With most bulk hollow points we expect less than stellar performance when compared to top shelf premium made stuff. NOT HERE! This stuff is great and you guys need to give it a try!!! My load is hot, but not like +P+ or anything. Win case, CCI primer, 5.3g of AA #5. VERY accurate. I would comment about how perfect the feed and function was but they were in a Glock so that's kind of moot. Performance was determined by shooting into 4.5 inches of soft pine. These penetrated through and about 2 inches or so into clay dirt. See for yourself, my hard cast lead boolits penetrated a little further with zero expansion. All these were dug out of the ground today. I'm a little disappointed with my cast loads, but they ARE for practice so, mehh.
  13. True they are, but ALL those rifles are capable. Problem is military ammo sucks. The Swiss made REALLY nice ammo. With the right ammo almost all the other military rifles will do about as good. Admittedly though, none have the cool straight pull though. That's just awesome.
  14. Get the ishapore. There's a real nice one in the classifieds right now. .......then start casting for it and you'll be able to shoot it for pennies. Mine shoots great with a 168g spitzer GC over unique.
  15. I'd rather meet Jerry Miculek than any of the hollywood losers. Very cool.
  16. Looks awesome. You need to stick an OD Pmag in there and see what that'd look like! How tight is the retention on that? Tight enough to hold it upside down?
  17. Me too. I place a LOT of blame on the last two or three generations for letting things go. Retirement age people in this country have a lot to answer for. There's many a thing that they should have put up a MASSIVE fight over, but in their apathy and ignorance they did not. Taking us off the gold standard, The NFA, Socialism Security, Big Government micro managing our lives, these things were NOT a problem early in the 20th century. Things are as bad as they are for one reason...the people have let it become this way. The only reason local, state and federal government have any power over you is because for the last 60-75 years people have sat with their thumbs up their butt and let them. Paid in all their working life my hairy white butt. There's an old man that hangs out here at the shop, he's 85. He's been drawing over two decades. He'll tell you in a heartbeat that he'd drawn out what he paid in in the first few years. As far as investing the money he paid in so that it made a profit?? That's a joke if I ever heard one.
  18. They have found jars of honey in the pyramids that they say could still be safely eaten. That's a 3 millennia shelf life. Nothing else will last that long.
  19. Well, either way, look at how you have to articulate your wrist to get it out. It's unnatural, but hey, if you're comfortable what business is it of mine.
  20. It's still a socialist idea. A man should be responsible for himself. Instead I am forced into a system, against my will, because I live in a country where personal responsibility is a not a requirement to survive.
  21. But people are taking out more than they EVER paid in and the system is dishing out more than it takes in. It's cruel to throw some old person to the wolves even if they SHOULD have prepared for their futures themselves instead of relying on someone else to do it for them [that's lazy]. I will admit that's cruel. It's equally cruel to steal from me to support the system. AND it is STEALING because I don't want to participate. The only way to take from one and give to another [against the first persons will] is by theft and I hate it.
  22. I used to think old guys were crazy for spouting their filthy racist rhetoric about a coming race war. Bad as I hate to say it [because I hate those kind of people] I think they were on to something.
  23. Humbly, I disagree. Armed rebellion may be a puke answer but how do you propose we vote the lazy deadbeat entitled ghetto trash out of their welfare checks and the Socialist Security that is swan diving into the pavement when SO many people depend on it. Wisdom will tell anyone that we can NEVER return to the system our founding fathers built. There's too many dependents and no one has the testicular fortitude to tell them to get up and work for their bread or starve to death. I think things could be made BETTER, but it'll never be what it was meant to be or once was. I will eat crow in public with no salt or sauce, RAW if and when we get a president get behind the podium and say something to the effect of : "Hence forth, all social programs are canceled, if you don't work or provide for yourself by some means of your own, you will suffer the consequences. Likewise it is not the burden of the young to care for the old. Social Security is now null and void. If you are not a part of the solution then you are a part of the problem and you will be dealt with." I'd vote for that guy!^^^^^ Everyone can enjoy freedom and happiness and still pull their own weight. I'll never be happy no matter how free I am when I have to work to support someone else.
