  1. Won't help if they have FLIR.
  2. How do new social groups get started? Obviously David's not gonna want everyone to have their own personal social group, but the list does need a few more options. Maybe? Meh, what do I know?
  3. No smith, that's not true brother. Sweden used the AG m/42 Ljungman, Egypt used the Hakim as well as the Rasheed All of which are DI. Not tying to be a knowitall but it's interesting to note.
  4. For all the people that tout the piston as being sooo much cleaner.....maybe, but I have to ask; what the heck are you doing that it makes such a big deal? Do you EVER clean your gun? I'm not saying it isn't cleaner, but unless you're a professional gun fighter I don't see a time where it could possibly make a difference that would make the added expense worthwhile. It's mostly couch commandos spreading that silliness. Clean your gun regularly. You don't have to clean like a Marine, just act like you care about it and will work, so long as you buy a quality setup.
  5. I wanna show up to one of their rallies with a sign that says "Why don't you occupy a smock and a name tag you lazy bastards!"
  6. I'll be out next sunday, we need to discuss this a bit. This sounds like more fun than when the hogs eat up my twin brother!!!!! I'm certainly in!
  7. I'll try to let you know in a few days. I was hoping to get back to this sooner, but I have been making 308 brass for the last few days.
  8. Leave them in what crates? This whole deal was for ammo I reload from brass I've picked up.
  9. .....and I was accused of over thinking things!
  10. That will certainly size your bullet down.
  11. Reloaded are some of the craftiest recyclers there are!
  12. Lee factory crimp die will solve that for you. Only, a warning with cast bullets. The Lee FCD can [and a lot of times WILL] size your bullet down so before you load a bunch of cast bullets, load one, run it through the FCD and then pull it and measure it again. For my cast 9mm loads I find that not sizing the bullet at all, then running them through my FCD will size them to .3555-.356 so thats a double bonus. YMMV. If you're loading a bullet with a copper condom on it, nevermind
  13. I don't believe it has anything to do with the cartridge itself. While the rifle is robust and very strong [as long as it's not one of the black powder actions] I believe it's the geometry of the gun itself that gives it such a stout recoil. I'm also of the belief that that is the reason 75% of the hard kicking rifles out there kick so hard.
  14. That straight pull Steyr is a jaw breaker. Only cartridge I ever seen that kicks so hard, to be no bigger than it is. It's a ball to shoot!!
  15. Did someone say professional hit man?
  16. ......Brady campaign to lobby for 5 day cooling off period for all cast iron cookware.
  17. I tried to consign a Rasheed in a store once, they wouldn't take it because the serial numbers were in arabic. No amount of blueing would fill a serial number because blueing is a chemical reaction, a controlled oxidation if you will. I would say it either didn't come with one, if it's old enough,OR the person refinishing got a little overzealous with the buffing wheel.
  18. There was a time when 7,92x57 hung the moon in my sky. There simply was no other cartridge worth my time. I migrated to .308 and WestwindMike ended up with my last 8mm. I am REALLY into my Ishapore and it takes up much of my time. One day I will have an Israeli Mauser and I will likely not shoot much else afterward. To me, that's the king of all mil-surps.
  19. Meh, screw NM and their Ted Turner owned sand box.
  20. "How Many Magazines?" Well, would you rather open a drawer one day and say 'Man! What am I gonna do with all these stupid magazines?' OR, would you rather be thinking 'MAN!, If I only had one more!'
  21. They didn't say "Graflex" did they? They bring good money to Star Wars buffs as the first lightsabre in episode IV a New Hope was made from one of those.
  22. I wouldn't bet my favorite hat on that.
  23. Even as screwed up as this country is, no jury here TN would convict you for intervening in a stabbing like that. My issue is, if I take my pistol out of its holster, I've already made the decision. Otherwise, it'd never leave the holster.
  24. I buy a G19 magazine every time I go to a gunshow. You'll look up one day and be surprised. Trying to buy everything at once is painful.
  25. Yeah, but the nut job is still alive. MOre tax dollars flushed down the toilet on this wacko. It would have been justifiable to just put the guy down without a word. Save us all a lot of money and possibly future lives saved when this guy walks on some stupid technicality.
