  1. Yeah and a LOT of it starts with the letter Tapco.
  2. Oh god, are you walking around telling people you have a magnum load in your pants?
  3. Absolutely. 95% of what I use is Lee. It just wasn't one of the two options. USMC2013, you should look into a Lee kit as well. Just be ready to buy a measure and scale. Their scale sux and the measure, while some find acceptable does not like ball powder. It tends to leak. Everything else is great. I'd even say the classic cast press is about the best single stage out there. It's very heavy duty.
  4. That's kinda like saying you prefer steak over bologna.
  5. I wouldn't turn around for the difference, but if I had to choose, it'd probably be RCBS. Their customer support has been much more satisfactory in my experiences.
  6. Anyone got anything better than flour, salt and water, but still maintain the storage life? Hard Tack is a good survival subject, it's cheap, easy and lasts a long time if sealed up. It can be cooked in an aluminum foil lined cardboard box beside the campfire. Seems to me, that with all the advances in technology, man could come up with a human kibble. Something fortified with everything the body needs. Hard enough to need chewing so it'd be good for your teeth and need to be broken down by your stomach so your digestive tract would run properly. Not hard enough to make eating laborious though. I know they make high calorie survival pellets but I mean something one could efficiently live on indefinitely. Obviously no one would be happy about it but the alternative ......
  7. Thanks guys. Good incentive to get out and hike a while this fall.
  8. Honestly. How heavily enforced do ya'll see this being? I just don't see commanding officers pushing this issue to hard. Obviously there's a line they have to draw, but this can do way more damage than good. The word is Morale. I may not have ever served as a soldier, but I do know that the little things make a BIG difference. A nudie magazine and a pack of Marlboro's aren't standard issue either but to a 19 year old young man facing death, they go a long way.
  9. That's awesome, hope to see you sign up as a vendor and tell us what all you offer. We're always looking for cool places to spend our $$$. Looking forward to it.
  10. And again, another reason I don't have kids.
  11. Ohh sure, pass a law that makes our troops use the lowest bidder when their life is on the line. Pissants, it's all about the money. Some sissy nanny gov contractor is crying about this, you bet.
  12. A lot of the stories seem to fuel the fire of aluminum foil hats and/or rebellious warmongering. While I'm all for it [and have added to said fire on occasion], I will be the first to admit this is not really the place for it.
  13. That real or a photoshop job? I believe it either way.
  14. Okay, it's easy to type what we'd all do when we are safe and sound and can think our responses through to conclusion, BUT...If their backs are to you, you have the element of surprise. I would say hunker down and take aim. Make yourself small and difficult to hit. Then, patience. If you have aim on them and are poised at the ready, you have the initiative. Patience and focus.
  15. Not entirely true, but yes, as a whole you are right. There was a time when a certain young gentleman worked for the Reloaders Bench. He no longer works there for reasons unbeknownst to me. I sold several guns there, through him and was given a very fair price for all of them. Of course I took store credit and left with arm loads of reloading supplies, but I left happy. I'm certain there are others out there. Obviously no one will pay retail. Everything depreciates in some way, with a few precious exceptions.
  16. There's an ointment for that with a funny latin name.
  17. That street ends in a long walk off a short pier into the bay.
  18. So my wife was right, I HAVE been doing it wrong.
  19. I don't understand. Why would it need to get down past the head? My limited understanding is the auto injection mixes it with the fuel. The fuel goes into the crankcase, then into the cylinder. The head is nothing more than a plate with a combustion chamber. There's nothing there to lubricate. I would say it's probably okay. My grandfart was too cheap to ever buy two stroke oil. He mixed used motor oil with gasoline and ran it in his weedeater with no issues. Smoked like tar kiln though. If you're worried, you can always buy an extra set of plugs, pre mix the gas, and after emptying the wrong oil, put the right oil in. Run it for a while, change the plugs, ride on. I had a scooter the auto injection messed up on. I just premixed the gas and forgot about the oil tank. It ran fine.
  20. Cool, I was thinking "Soothum tha Clapus"
  21. I don't know how to say hydrocortisone in latin
  22. nihil exsorbibo?
