Worst thing that can happen is you lose your gun when they call the ATF to come and get it because it shows up in a random scan and there's a firearm on a shipment that's not supposed to have firearms. AND, we can argue what the letter of the law says all day but the law doesn't mean diddly squat when the ATF shows up.

Tell the truth, you were confused before you got here. -

As I said [jokingly] in another post: Co-Op around Easter time. -
Oh, I like this guy.

As far as these "no knock" warrants are concerned, there's an easy solution that will serve you well in other ways also. SECURE YOUR HOME! There's a lot a hollywood BS as far as door breaching is concerned. Door breaching rounds only work IF they know where the hinges and locks are. Get creative! That little two man ram you see in the movies will not knock down a properly secured security door. And even if it could, it would take several licks thereby negating the "NO KNOCK" part. Double pane storm windows, high off the ground as possible. Lot's of lighting and a camera set up too. If they were to mistakenly come here, 911 would get a call long before they get in.....well provided I'm actually IN for the night.

What is the most efficient way you've trapped rabbit?
Caster replied to a topic in Hunting and Fishing
Yep, the protein you can reap from keeping them in fresh water and clover and maybe plant a patch of turnip greens or something to keep them fed. Much easier than other methods. I don't really care much for rabbit, but the field across the street is full of them and if need be.....oh yeah, I'll have some campfire hasenpfeffer (minus the blood ). -

While trapping is them is illegal, it is still a good idea to learn the principles of it. To catch them live WTSHTF would much more advantageous than shooting them. If you could catch a few and cage them, they would perpetuate and make a nice little renewable source of meat. -
Good deal! That's being a real dad right there. Although I agree, it's too easy. I'm reminded of a pair of Louisiana brothers that took a similar waste of oxygen down to the river, laid him on a flat rock and broke every bone in his body with hammers. Never killed the guy outright, just left there. I can put up with lot but any crimes involving children and or sex should be dealt with in the most lethal of fashions. Go downtown, there's a whore on every corner. You keep your filthy hands off someone's child.

I just shipped a handgun back to Taurus from the UPS hub on Seaboard lane in Brentwood. It's their policy it has to be overnighted and it cost me something to the tune of $48 dollars and change. Got the receipt here somewhere. Did you declare it a handgun when you shipped it? You're supposed to and if the UPS guy took it as a handgun and didn't make you overnight it, he didn't do his job as UPS mandates. I tried that with Fed-Ex once, trying to drop a rifle off at a drop off satellite store. It very nearly cost me my rifle. Good thing they didn't find out until after the truck had delivered it to the FFL it was headed to. http://www.ups.com/c...ipping firearms

UPS will cost you $50. They require you to overnight a handgun. Company policy.

The Pay it Forwad thread is a Stickie. Look under the gear classifieds section. It's got a layer of virtual dust on them though.

Really? I gotta look into that if they do. I'm betting it would work well in a G20.

I'm counting 4 Magpul products there, I'm lovin' it!

Most efficient way? Down at the Co-Op, a week before Easter. -
Looks like you're gonna have to learn to do a few things left handed.

Are the days of cheap Mosins ending?

Seeing as how I gave $29.99 for my first one, I'd say they went up a long time ago. -
Dang Dolomite, here I was expecting you to look more like ...wrong supafly I guess.

There's a wonderful surplus powder out there now called SMP-842. It bears similar properties as CFE223 In that copper fouling is greatly reduced due to a chemical compound present in the powder itself. Problem is, there's VERY little support for the powder as far as how to load it. Dolomite_Supafly will chime in here sometime with his results and any of you other guys trying it, PLEASE post your chronographed results. It'll help us all out. ***This is NOT to be considered safe load data for you to use. I am NOT a ballistics expert. This is for academic study ONLY*** Okay, my first results are not very professional. I've been fighting my back again and I had a headache when I loaded these so I did not hand weigh each one. I set my Lyman 55 and verified by scale the first ten. In the future I will be hand weighing each one. The test rifle today was a 1/7 twist Spikes upper 5,56 chambered 16 inch chrome lined AR Load was a Federal case, Win small rifle standard primer, 62g steel core FMJBT, 24g of SMP842, OAL 2.250, crimp set with a Lee Factory crimp die. I fired a 30 round group. High = 2935 fps Low = 2848 fps overall average = 2,908 FPS Accuracy was great. Shot at 50 yards with an Eotech, and I wasn't shooting for accuracy, I just tried not to shoot my chronograph and they were all inside a 6 inch circle. I will be working up a more carefully assembled lot this week to be fired from my CZ527. I will post the results then.

Yeah, I've had that happen a time or two. Luckily the good people far outweigh the bad here. For the most part, people here do what they say. There'll always be a bum or two slip through. Me? I'll do it if I say I will. I don't care if it hair lips the governor. I've had buyers remorse once or twice. Doesn't affect anything on the deal. You say you'll buy it, you buy it unless it's not in the condition the seller claims it to be. I've never had that happen. When I sell I always try to make it out to be in a little less shape than it really is. You just can't make a fellar mad that way. When's the last time you said, "Well I ain't buying this, cuz it's in better shape than you told me it was." Say what you'll do and do what you say people.

Heck yeah. Cast some bullets and throw the rest in a hookah and smoke it. I do loves me some lead!

Yeah, nothing says sex appeal like denim shorts below the knee and an Ozzy T shirt.
