  1. You can run 62g stuff no problem in a 1/9. Its a common weight, I'd go up to that and see what happens.
  2. God I loved Airwolf when I was a kid! RIP ole buddy. Thanks.
  3. Another episode of cop bashing begins in ...3...2...1
  4. Spots, it's a 5 1/2 hour trip. You need to make a weekend of it. If you've never seen Reel Foot, you're missing out. See a bunch of bald eagles, eat at the only restaurant in the country that's allowed to serve Crappie. Take a bundle, you will spend it in Dixie Gun works. Judging you by your posts, you like to see the trees through the eyes of a man that lived a 150 years ago, Dixie Gun Works is a Mecca for guys like you.

    Name that gun!

Looks more like a Khar than a Glock.
  6. Why wouldn't you post that? I hold people who only ever post one hole groups, in the highest of suspicion. Thanks for sharing, I'm guessing you just got into that rig? Looks awesome. A little fine tuning of the load and calm day and I bet them holes 'll be a lot closer together. No matter what, when you figure center mass is about 10 inches square, all those shots solved a problem.
  7. Looks really good, but I'm not sure I would do it to the part that is inserted in the rifle. First off, you'll never see it and second, depending on what you use, it'll just get scratched up/off and could gum up the works at a very inopportune moment. Pattern looks great though.
  8. Ehhh, I wouldn't do that. Modify each magazine until they fit. If you start removing material from the mag catch, you'll be lowering the position of the magazine in the rifle. Even a little bit can make a difference. Seen it before. Easier and cheaper to work each of you magazines over until they work. Found out the hard way on my first Yugo build. I was getting failure feed issues. Ended up replacing it and adjusting the magazines. Then it run like a raped ape.
  9. Use a fan and a mask. Also, be prepared. Its gonna make a mess, but it will strip those AR receivers to bare metal fast.
  10. Yep, me too. My opinions are clear but my experiences are strangely ......fuzzy.
  11. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying I choose not to believe it. It wouldn't be the only thing I'm backwards on. I've drank 12 yr old Chivas Regal from a fresh bottle. I've drank some that been sitting around for a couple of decades. There's a difference. I know an old man that used,to runs liquor store back in the 60s and 70s. He has stuff in his basement that has been bottled longer than I've been alive. Either it mellows out in the bottle or people suck at distilling nowadays. Which is it?
  12. I've heard that for years and I ain't buying it. The smoothest scotch I've ever had was the bottle of Cutty Sark I just finished. It's older than me and I'm 34. Cutty Sark is not known to be all that smooth, this stuff was smoother than the bottle of Blue Label I'm currently working on. I have a fresh bottle of Cutty Sark too, I use it as a bore cleaner when I ain't drinking it.
  13. Heck yeah. I just finished a bottle of scotch that was bottled before I was born.
  14. What makes a gas cooked burger sub par? Is it the lack of smoke and ash flavor? If so, I love me some subpar burgers. I'm a "Taste meat, not the heat" kinda guy.

    AR-P220

Yessir, that is awesome. Very classy too. Nice departure the tacticool day to day grind.
  16. The ones from Will Smith's version of I Am Legend whoops both of them.
  17. Regular old Arm & Hammer baking soda will make aluminum look like is was freshly cast. It's crazy how it works but it does. Dolomite is right, just go to harbor freight and buy one for $20 or so and grab a few boxes of baking soda. It'll work.
  18. So much for trimming 300 blackout brass!!! Dude, I hope you're alright. I mean, this is JUST what you needed right? Another source of suffering. It was the Harbor Freight Saw wasn't it? I guess you're gonna drop out of the thumb wrestling tournament huh? ...sorry, had to do it. Prayers with you brother. You have my number, you need me, you call me.
  19. Second the Nikon. If you don't cry when pay for it, you will cry after you use it. NcStar and Casull do not mix

    How often...

I clean the BCG and receiver after every outing. I rarely clean the bore. The powder I use now is very clean and there's almost NO copper fouling...why bother? I've not cleaned the bore on my AR's in over 500 rounds. Can't see a difference in accuracy. I may never clean them [bore] again save for a patch on a jag once in a while. Most of guns I shoot cast in won't group well until they settle in so cleaning them is counter productive. There's more damage done by cleaning then you'll ever do by shooting. That "Marine Corps spotless bore" is a waste of time in the world I live in. YMMV.
  21. Good score. You're better off with .223. Reload for it. Even if you don't, QUALITY ammo is easy to get. 'Bout all you find in 7,62x39 is crap. What's the twist rate on those things? Just buy up several magazines and keep on trucking. Get a LULA for AK too and save your thumbs. If it has a side rail try Kalinka optics. They have lots of Russian and Belarus made optics. Fed a proper diet, that rifle should outshoot any standard AK you're likely to encounter. The '74's do well, but bet on the .223. ...and yes, pictures or it didn't happen.
  22. Happy 4th everyone!
  23. We may cuss and fuss about how screwed up things are in country, but it could ALWAYS be worse. If you hate the idea of speaking german, go hug a solider!
  24. Next you can do the Cumberland river and it'll be the "Acid Trip".
  25. HEY!! Don't forget the Hobbit comes out in december!
