  1. Just buy a Lyman 525 mold and cast your own. I do. If you're going to spend your time doing, why do a bubba job? Besides, the 525 drops right into a wad and cuts a hole like a wadcutter. It's ridiculously devastating to any kind of living target. I cast them from pure lead and the hollow base will expand on firing, sealing the bore and will expand when it hits something hard.
  2. Well then, let's have a celebratory drink!!!!

    Mi Amigo...

I was referring to the irony of a name that includes "American Classic" and "Amigo" Not meant to be offensive to our latino brothers that came here LEGALLY. I'm totally okay with that. This country was built by immigrants. But spanish seems to permeate our culture now and as much as I love me some mexican food, everything we're getting is not entirely welcome.

    Mi Amigo...

NIce pistol but does anyone see the irony of the Spanification of america here?
  6. Hamilton Bowen's pistols would make Rich's work look like a spray painted Heritage Rough RIder and you can get one of his for less than $3K
  7. You know why movies and books and what not have to use silver? They only shoot once or twice. If you put a couple dozen in the thing, it'll go down. Even if it don't die and heals quickly the damage from a couple dozen 73g Amax's from my AR will leave it with perforated lungs, torn ligaments and separated muscle tissue. The second fail is when it hits the ground, people always run away. Why? Hack it up into pieces by god! Let's see a werewolf heal up after I throw it's arms out in a field in hickman county for the coyotes and toss it's head off a bridge in cheatham county.
  8. Silver is certainly better than gold for us normal folks, but I stand by my opinion: Lead and Copper are more useful and not just for making ammo.
  9. I'm not so sure it's in OUR best interest to tell THEM it's a bad idea. Think about it. We all know stupid shouldn't be allowed to breed. Look at how contaminated the gene pool is now. A pistol going off in the crotch of a person stupid enough let it happen removes one potential breeder from circulation. But there's a bigger picture here. If we want things to get better, it's not a better president we need, it's not a balanced budget or any of that. We HAVE to stop helping stupid people. Allowing them to render themselves extinct will increase our quality of living by an order of magnitude.
  10. Stupid show, scripted by stupid people, performed by stupid people intended for a stupid audience.
  11. A responsible gun owner could own a gun that theoretically goes off on it's own and still be safe. A responsible gun owner understands and practices proper muzzle discipline. Most gun owners are NOT responsible. Disagree? Go to any public or private gun range, anytime, anywhere and you will see someone cross a muzzle with flesh. I don't care if you just unloaded it. I hate the story where the kid got shot from a supposed faulty trigger, but I'm hard pressed to feel sorry for any of them. If you are not conscious of your muzzle, your target and your backstop at ALL times, you shouldn't own a gun.
  12. If I ever decide to have a "HEAT" moment and rob a big bank, I want Ken to be my get away driver.
  13. No thank you. I love it. It's as good as constantly repeating "Am I free to go?"
  14. Dish dumped a lot of channels. Something tells me Dish just in their own nest.
  15. Sounds like a good time to take listening death metal. Have it up really loud when they call. If they wanna show up, it'd be a good day for weapons detail.
  16. Welcome fellow 'viewan!
  17. This ain't pretty but it's a very accurate rifle. http://www.fnhusa.com/le/products/firearms/model.asp?gid=fng022&fid=fnf049&mid=FNM0137
  18. Always respect for the steady handed machinist. Ever do the plastic fantastic or is that blasphemy for you?
  19. You mean like this?
  20. Yep. I have Corrections officers that trade with us here at the shop. They'll tell you in a heartbeat, child offenders walk a fine line. Threaten to tell the population they prey on kids and they'll do anything you ask. I think there should be a memo passed out to all inmates with the name a picture of the person everytime a child offender goes in.
  21. If you shoot that 1K times in a day I will kneel in the presence of your awesomeness.
  22. The M1A is extremely accurate and a very good rifle, but they can likewise be VERY picky on what they like. Heavy for caliber bullets are a no no. GOOD magazines are not cheap at all. For what you get a good M1A for you should be able to find a decent AR10. There were a couple for sale in the classified here recently. Do you reload? If not, there are actually more options as there are good rifles that are not reloader friendly. The CETME for one is very reliable and accurate as long as you stay away from Century's rubbish. The RomakIII/PSL can be found in 308 as well as the VEPR & Saiga wich are both very good rifles. They chew up brass a bit, but can be tweaked to shoot very well for TN distances.
  23. Think numbers man. That rifle has high "Manly Factor" but can you shoot that all day? The fatigue would bad. I'm not a big rimfire fan at all but a rooftop zombie kit includes the following *(2) reasonably accurate, extremely reliable .22 rifles. *Dozen "bricks" of .22 ammunition *Coleman cooler with beer, water, some turkey sandwiches, BBQ chips and some twinkies *A large parasol, or umbrella and some sunscreen *Solar charged iPod with plenty tunes that make you happy.
  24. Yes it was.
